You could watch this again. (MAYBE)

I like the pace of this story. The actors are good. The story is good. Some scenes do end abruptly but I have come to accept that in JDramas now. I like the fact that this drama shows character development from arrogance to acceptance, from frivolousness to seriousness. The four lead characters are well enacted by the chosen actors. The chemistry between the lead pair is excellent! While the story is nothing new yet the actors lend credence to the success of this one. I would recommend seeing this one.

You could watch this again, Not me.

While there is nothing wrong with this one, I wouldn't rave about it too much. The lead pair is really sweet but I find the chemistry missing. The story is slightly slow-paced but its worth one watch if you are the type who can give it time. The male lead is simply cute. Will be checking out his other dramas definitely.

Disappointing!

I just can’t seem to like the FL. Her expressions are so exaggerated. The ML seems so awkward around her. He is impressive on his own. The story is actually nice but is ruined for me thanks to the FL. In fact, the only saving grace according to me is the character of Song Sui played by Wang Run Ze.

I have read many reviews raving about the chemistry of the Main leads and I am left wondering if there is something wrong with my taste.

I am on the 15th episode and wondering if I should continue or leave it. Oh well, one more won’t harm me!

See it without comparing it to Go Go Squid!

Should you? Would you? Could you?

You should watch this one (YES! )
You would recommend this to others. (YES!)
You could watch this again. (YES, in parts)

When you start seeing this one you have unconscious expectations of it being an extension of Go Go Squid and that’s where we all go wrong. Let that be a backdrop for this one. There are parallels in the story with instances being similar which is needed but don’t go with expectations of the actors being the same. If you can let go of that, then you will enjoy this one a lot.

The lead actress, Li Yi Tong is brilliant. Her smile and her confidence is bewitching.
This is perhaps the male lead actor Hu Yi Tian’s best so far. There has always been this restraint that I have found in his acting which to me he has broken free from in this drama. And I am glad to see him mature as an actor. The longing in his eyes, the steadfast, unshakeable love which shines from his face is so convincing. The scene where he gets possessive about the female lead and pushes her in the car just shows the depth of emotion in the character.

The second lead pair is adorable. I have seen Wan An Yu’s other drama and have liked him in that too. He’s a v expressive actor.
The supporting cast is brilliant as usual. Really liked the role of Solo played by Pang Han Chen.

I wish the story would have focused more on gaming than the romance. There are many episodes that could have just been eliminated from this series but I guess that’s the writer's prerogative.
I love the fact that even though there is fierce competition between the teams of SP and K&K, they are united in their quest to win the competition for their country and don’t hesitate to help each other out when the need arises. This shows strength of character.
Also loved the fact that the last episode had both couples from both series. I loved the lead pair of Go Go Squid and the glimpses which we see of them in this one is a treat.

I enjoyed it. I fast-forwarded the parts that I found unnecessary and I finished it with a sense of completion. This is a personal choice. If you liked Go Go Squid and want to see how Dt & Appledog mature in their love, then do watch it.

The only good thing about this drama is the female lead who is a delight to watch. It's not a bad drama but its v lengthy and boring in parts. I fast-forwarded a lot of it. It's a historical love story with a mystery to tell. It has lots of funny moments thanks to the female lead. I would recommend watching it if you are in limbo and want to see something extremely light. Another drama that will go into my fluff category.

This drama is ok to watch as a filler in between dramas (that is if you are looking for a filler). They could have finished this in 12 episodes. I fast-forwarded it in bits. It had its moments but on the whole, it's okayish. The lead pair is good. In fact, the actors are pretty good but the story doesn't really grip you. Watch it if you have nothing else to watch.

BRILLIANT SHOW!

Should you? Would you? Could you?

You should watch this one (YES! )
You would recommend this to others. (YES!)
You could watch this again. (Not really as it’s a mystery)
Ending: Satisfactory

This is a South Korean tv series based on the webtoon Amazing Rumor by Jang Yi. There is only one word to describe it and that’s “BRILLIANT”.
While the plot is very interesting (The protagonists running a noodle shop in the day and demon hunting in the night), it’s always the characters who make it come alive.

Everyone has acted brilliantly: the 4 core members (the counters who are the demon hunters), the spirit council, the supporting cast, and the different sets of villains that we encounter. Each counter has a special skill which when coming together as a team, makes a formidable force to reckon with.

In fact, the actors chosen as the evil spirits are just brilliant and lead the show. Lee Hong Nae as Cheong sin is brilliant as the evil spirit. That laughter is so spine-chilling and those eyes...... whew! I liked the fact that they showed a humane side to him at the orphanage but his cruel upbringing is what makes him what he is ultimately. Ok Ja Yeon as the female evil spirit is brilliant too!!!!!!!

SPOILER:
I loved the way the plot changes the game in episode 12 to beat the evil with their own weakness - money and with the concept of divide and rule. This is some good writing here.
While I missed “ Cheong Sin” as the level 3 spirit in the last 3 episodes, Mayor Shin as the evil incarnate is just top-notch.

The character development of So Mun is gradual and portrayed very well - From a soft-hearted person with a disability to a soft-hearted but strong-willed person with a sense of purpose. Even his concern for the Mayor’s son who was a bully to him shows his strength of character. The final episode with So Mun’s reunion with his parents' spirit is very heart rendering.

There is a lot more to this drama. Each character has his or her own journey and I like the way it has been shown while being interwoven within the big plot.

I absolutely loved the background score. It adds so much to the scenes.

There is blood and gore. There are likable characters who get killed. But it's worth seeing this one if you haven’t as yet.
It’s a fast-paced one. Finished it in 3 days. No fast-forwarding in this one. Looking forward to Season 2.

Fast paced drama!

Should you? Would you? Could you?

Ending: Happy

This drama is all about one man’s personal vendetta to get justice for his fiancés killer.
Jeerawat’s character portrayed by Ya ya is what takes this drama into another level. I love the fact that she is not a doormat and gives back and how when she gets it. She’s not your helpless female who will cry at the drop of a hat and do nothing about it. She does not think twice about speaking her mind and giving an eye for an eye. She even shows her vulnerability many times which endears us to her character even more. You realise that underneath all that bravado is just an emotional girl who had endured enough hardships which has made her exterior so tough. Ya ya’s confidence and beauty just adds so much to Jeerawat’s character.
Mark Prin as Sathit is exactly what the role demanded of such a vengeful character. He is justified in wanting to take revenge. And he sees exactly what the world sees in Jjeerawat’s character- a cold calculating bitch, until proven otherwise.
Loved their chemistry. Its electrifying!
The only drawback I found is the exaggerated angst which is stretched a bit too much till the end. They could have had the forgiveness and reconciliation a few episodes earlier and focused a bit more on the wooing. We deserve it after going through the roller coaster of emotions. But all in all a good drama to watch.

Suberb acting!

Superb show! Superb acting!
The plot has the same age old “revenge” theme. But what makes it so thrilling to watch is the fast pacedness and the brilliant performances by all the actors. The lead pair ( Marcus Chang and Eugenie Liu) are simply amazing in their roles, with blazing chemistry. I loved the character development of both their roles. Her becoming confident after the blow ( mother absconding after a company mismanagement) and him becoming softer after falling in love (him wanting justice for his family after seeing his father die in his arms and mother blaming him thus turning him into a cold personality just bent on revenge). The supporting cast also just fall into their roles so brilliantly. Yes there is a lot is stress too but when you look at it from both their POV, you know it’s justified.
I loved the OST esp Don’t Panic by Shi Shi. It keeps reverberating in the mind the whole day. Esther Yang who plays the friend of the female lead is brilliant.

The only minus point is that the episodes are tooooo long and one tends to lose patience but this is the only drama where I still didn’t fast forward in fear of losing an important scene.
It's definitely worth watching. Once you start you wont be able to stop it till the end.

Ending: Happy

My problem with this drama is the lack of chemistry between the lead pair. They are good actors individually but somehow found them lacking (but this is solely my opinion, of course). The story is ok. I did fast forward and see the last few episodes. The last episode ended as if they were in a rush to finish it. And the mother seems to have completely vanished by then. The second and third pair are fun to watch. It's just not my cup of tea. Watch it during a lull period if you may.

This drama depicts the perfect balance of romance and mystery. What a great psychological thriller this turned out to be! One of the best I have seen. The performances by everyone are top-notch. The only disappointing factor for me was the revelation of the main villain but that's because I was expecting it to be someone else (duh, me). The lead pair is awesome. They share brilliant on-screen chemistry. I just love the fact that she has unwavering faith in him and vice versa. You cannot sit still from episode 18 onwards. It takes what a fab turn! The mystery is just brilliantly depicted.

Don't miss this one. It should be a must-see on everyone's list.

The second season was as boring as the first. The lead character can not make up his mind and that tends to infuriate the viewer. There is no finesse in the episodes. The ending leaves you with a sense of irritation with its abruptness. The lead actress is wasted again. The supporting cast is again the redeeming factor here too.

I wouldn't recommend it personally.

This is my very first Thai drama and I was impressed. I have seen all the versions of this one and I must say this is the best of all. The characterization for me is very important in every drama that I see and I loved the way each character has been well defined here. The other versions don’t show the girl as having much of a backbone but this one goes beyond that and more. The male lead is shown with a back story to his dislike which somehow endears us to him. I love the byplay of emotions between them. I absolutely loved the family which rocks. The mother is such a fun character while understanding both their predicaments. King’s character is too loveable and one ends up feeling so bad for him. And I loved the fact that they have given it a fitting end – not just an abrupt happy ending but a good half hour of happiness. Highly recommended!

What a refreshing drama! It's just a simple story of daily activities and problems faced at an airport with romance weaved in. But the execution by all the actors makes it so believable. There is such a sense of honesty here that it makes a delightful watch. Each episode is infused with an incident and yet the similar thread in all holds it all in. The lead pair are extremely endearing. The mystery is tackled well throughout (don't want to reveal any spoilers). It is definitely worth a watch!

I loved this one! I am a fan of gaming dramas and i love that each one of them is similar in their theme yet so different in their approach. The lead pair is really dynamic especially the actress. Yang Zi is sweet and her character's resolve to be with Li Xian's character in spite of him being mean to her is remarkable. Apart from the romance, the thread of friendship and betrayal is beautifully woven. The lead actor portrays this cold aloof man who eventually succumbs to the heroine, very effectively. We as an audience feel her helplessness at times. I wish they would have focussed a bit more on her singing career too. Wu Bai portrayed as the cousin was pretty good too.
This is one drama where the number of episodes didn't matter and I would have liked this one to go on and on. Kudos to the team.
