Definitely hold off til your ready to cry, or at the very least watch the main actors cry. A LOT. I don't think there is a single episode where someone isn't crying. But they really do it so well :) I am so in love with Yoo Chun, it's ridiculous :p

Aw, thanks ;) it was a lot of fun to write! And yes I just finished Missing You and actually already went through it again watching all my favorite parts :) To me, it was absolutely amazing! I don't do melodramas, but I love Yoon Eun Hye and Yoochun so I gave it a shot. There is a TON of crying and it gets pretty dark and intense, but surprisingly there are a lot of happy and cute scenes that balance it out. If you don't mind crying and like a big dose of angst in your dramas, then definitely pick it up, you won't regret it! The actors were just incredible, sometimes I even forgot I was watching a drama, they pulled off their roles so well :)

If you get around to Princess Princess you have to let me know how it is! My friend Holly who is obsessed with the anime watched the live action and she told me not to bother cause it just wasn't as good as the anime, but I'm still curious! I didn't know there was a movie! Is it after the series? It takes a really good kdramas to get me to watch more than three episodes at a time. I just finished missing You and it was so stinking good, I watched the first 17 episodes in 2 days!

I will definitely check that one out :) I really love the smaller episodes too! Just a few weeks ago someone posted and article that had Atashinchi no Danshi in it and I decided to start it and finished it in one sitting! That's hard to do in kdramas unless you have a butt of steel :p there are a couple of animes that I've watched that I am dying to watch the live action of, like Ranma or Ouran, or there is this one anime that I just saw has a live action Princess Princess! None of them have very good reviews, but I'm still interested :)

I think you forgot to include Joo Won's mother in Secret Garden..Then the Queen Dowager in Yi San and Moon/Sun,…
That is so funny you said that, cause the mom from secret garden was totally on here!! Then I thought she was too close to the kind of mom Jun Pyo's was and I switched it to romance town. Though, the mom in Secret Garden deserves props for being evil til the end! At least in BOf Jun Pyo's mom is seen smiling and happy at the end :)

It was just so bad!! I think that's part of why I am so reluctant to start jdramas is cause the hair just made it seem so ridiculous, and then I made it worse by watching Yamato Nadeshiko Shiichi Henge, which was also ridiculous! It has me leery of them because they seem to never take themselves very seriously, whereas kdramas tend to take themselves too seriously. How about you? Do you prefer j or kdramas? I see from your list you have a pretty balanced list of both :)

I just read your review on Mei Chan! It was my first jdrama, and I couldn't agree with you more about the hair!! It was so irritating, like I couldn't take anybody seriously if he was in the same frame :p I didnt realize the manga had more romance. I will have to check it out cause that's what I felt Mei chan was missing! :)

Great article...haha the revengists! I agreed with all the ones I knew. Bong gu's magic tricks were definitely…
YES!! I am so glad I am not the only one who hated those magic tricks :)

I missed Harry Borrisson/Kang Hyung Joon from Missing You in the "revengists" part. But hell yeah, great…
I had totally thought about adding him to that part, cause he is a classic example of revenge gone wrong! But when I had submitted this article, the last 2 episodes hadn't aired and I didn't want to write it without knowing his end :p

I wouldn't put a category for "Evil relatives", because they're pretty much a mix of everything. Most…
I think in general most villains in dramaland and real life are opportunists ;) And thanks for the tip! I really couldn't think of a word I liked more than making up one :)

Villains without any viable reason are the worst kind! And that M guy from 'King2hearts', does he even speak korean?…
LMAO! I love your description of his "Korean" :p

I don't agree with Yoo He Yi cause I found her funny as a villain. But I completely agree with Oh Yoon Joo. I…
When I go back and rewatch You're Beautiful, I can find her amusing. But man, that first time I watched it I hated how much she hurt Shin Woo!! And I completely agree that those two actors were phenomenal. I was not anticipating Tae Mu to be a bad guy, cause I had just watched Playful Kiss and he was such a dork in that. I wish they had utilized his range a little more :)

I like the idea; we all have those characters we hate huh? I recently started watching "A hundred's years…
How is Can We Get Married? Aside from the vomitable mother? I am so stealing that by the way, it's a good one :)

I was just looking at that movie yesterday wondering if I wanted to give movies another shot! I tried watching You're My Pet but all of the dog stuff was embarrassing so I didn't get very far. I may have to give Baby and I a shot! Maybe you are having a hard time with dramas cause you aren't liking My Princess? Missing You will be over this Thursday! You could give that one a shot :) it has been ridiculously addicting. And has put me on a Yoon Eun Hye kick! I finished Lie to Me yesterday and I am giving Take Care of the Young Lady another shot .

Haha, I couldn't have said it better myself!! We definitely could have gotten a much, much worse ending! In fact, it's probably good we went into it expecting a bad ending, so our hopes wouldn't have been too high :p

I think his hand was a psychological manifestation trying to stop himself from killing. He said his master had had the same problem, that he was tired of killing, tired of the political games. Choi Young wanted out before the new king came into power and I think that meeting the doctor and her distaste for killing amplified that.

As for the second part about the doctor and time traveling, I can't admit to really understanding what happened there. I think she stayed in the past til the door opened, and just went through it hoping it would take her to the future.I didn't mind the ending so much, at least not as much as everyone else complains about it. It could have been a bit clearer, also I wish the Prince's cousin would have gotten what was coming to him. But I think the only thing I would have changed would be that they kiss at the end instead of just staring. What did you think?

Miaka is the worst!! So whiny and irritating and clingy! And seriously, some of the dialogue was just awful :p but Tamahome more than made up for it :) and Hotohori and Chichiri and Tasuki and Nuriko :) it's actually one of my favorites even though logically I know it's not good. You're lucky you stopped when you did. The entire latter half of the show is one giant sob fest!! I haven't watched anime in probably a decade so all of my favorites are oldies.

Honestly, I don't see what everyone is complaining about! I absolutely could not stop watching Faith. It reminded me of this anime that I used to watch, Fushigi Yugi. And the chemistry between LMH and the doctor was just incredible in my opinion. There was only a few things I didn't like about the show, several of them you haven't gotten to yet. But one thing that bugged me was how loosely they explained the magic. It seemed more to me like they wanted to have a character with super hearing so that it was easy to eavesdrop on people and just half assed the magic around that! But other than that and a fee qualms about the ending, Faith was pretty perfect, at least for me :)

Thinking about it, I think I am even more excited to hear he wants to do something light, a la Personal Taste. It would be interesting to see him fret over regular dating, not necessarily who was trying kidnap or murder the love interest :p

I am so glad he sticks within his comfort zone! I was so worried when I saw he was going to be in a historical, cause I didn't think I could like it. But I ended up adoring it, and he was a huge part of why :) though, I'm still hoping LMH's next role will be more in the vein of City Hunter!
