If it can be of consolation, I feel exactly the same, so either we are all masochists, or these people are doing a hell of a brilliant job. Jae Ha's going to move mountains now to free Hang A, so to add to my insanity, I'm madly in love with him too. Basically, I'm a complete mess.

On one side, I'm suffering from watching, on the other I dread the moment this will be over. It's like these people had become my close friends and I couldn't let go of them even if I wanted to.
How on earth am I going to show it to my mother? LOL

Violet, did you watch it? Don't think I need to mention what. ;)
Of course I have to wait for subs, but I'm crying right now, I need to talk to someone. How do they do it?
They are killing me: if my heart doesn't fail me, I'll be drowned. :P

Emma's been one of my favourite during a phase of my life which has long passed, lol. Now I have problems picking up that book again, although there are some wonderfully hilarious scene and Knightley is a great character. I have a penchant for Persuasion, and I think Mansfield Park (which I love too) has to be read multiple times to be fully appreciated. :)

I have to run to go keep company to my nephew and niece. I see you... tonight? Wednesday... wednesday... don't think about it rita, don't...

Oh, but the First Impression wasn't only Elizabeth's. Actually, everybody in the novel acts on first impression, including Darcy who has to later recognize of having been prejudiced. I wish Austen had left the original title, because it's the core of the whole story.
While some think Pride is Darcy and Prejudice's Elizabeth, I actually maintain it's both. Elizabeth lets her pride become prejudice, and Darcy uses his prejudices to feed his pride.
The novel has so many reading layers, it's amazing. I love that Austen lived a relatively simple life and yet showed a knowledge of human nature which surpasses most of her fellow authors of the time, like Fielding or Richardson (whom she admired).
:)

As I said to Nina, Darcy is The Hero. But he is such because he deals with a character like Elizabeth, who is the type of person I mostly identify with - given she lived in the 19th century and I in modern times. Regardless, her inner self is timeless. :D

We can discuss Darcy for weeks, if you like: I'd love it. You'll not like this, but one of the reasons I loved Secret Garden is because Joo Won's a modern, satirical version of Mr Darcy. Darcy's :" I love you against my better judgment" is mirrored in Joo Won's speech on the gym roof: "why should a man like me like a woman like you? There is no other reason but madness."
By the by, I have read Persuasion about 6 times: I constantly fluctuate between putting Persuasion as my favourite of all the 6 novels or P&P. We can actually discuss Austen for weeks, I know her novels almost by heart. :D

Takes the vibe with gratitude and obviously agree with you on the shirt: after all is said and done, being deprived of the strip was very mean, and I just forgive them because I'm besotted with the drama. LOL
Fitzwilliam Darcy is indeed THE HERO per excellence. And he's such because Elizabeth is THE HEROINE. Her refusal of his first declaration is one of the most satisfying pieces of romantic literature.
When K2H will be over, I'll be an orphan again. I dread the moment. Luckily I have the best of excuses to do a second watching so early, thanks to my mother and her newly found obsession. hahahaha
I wonder if she's going to be disappointed too by the fact she won't be able to take off LSG's shirt herself?

Thank you for your recommendation, my dear. I know of With Love, it's been on my to watch list for a while. Right now I should keep a low profile though, as my editor sent me my next assignment just today and asked me if I can translate it by the middle of June, which leaves me with a lot to do and not so much time to complete it.
However, I'm not necessarily a fan of no sex. I just need a right middle way between a virginal thing (which frustrates me at times) and a story where they roll on every surface (which bores me).
All your comments are helpful, and even if they weren't, I love to read about your views on the subject. Although I consider myself a romantic, I am not a fluffy type. I hate pink, lace, engagement rings, hand in hand trips to the zoo or amusement park, frilly dresses and all that stuff.

Hi Violet,
while waiting for Wednesday (lol), let me just tell you that I agree with everything you wrote in the romantic thread.
We should concoct a drama script together. ;);)

Hi Miri,
please forgive me for I haven't updated you anymore about the movie GO!
I haven't forgotten about it, but frankly it has become a true Odissey. I have the movie in 2 long parts, raw, with soft subs. It's not possible to upload it on the majority of sites I have an account on: YOUtube, Veoh, Tinypic, Daily Motion, because of copyright issues. Veoh and Daily motion threatened to suspend or cancel my account if I persist, not to mention the fact that it takes more than half a day to upload it, only to get a response like: the audio has been cancelled due to copyright issues, and so on.
I'm not someone who gives up, though. I will come back to you if ever I find a solution.
LOL, let's just hope in the end you like the movie, or I'd hit myself with a hammer. ;);)

Yes, you're right: I demand a bit of a dreamlike atmosphere to fully enjoy a drama. While I love for characters to act in a believable, real way, I don't like to immerse myself in something which is the exact replica of what my neighbour experiences every day (or I, for that matter).
But it doesn't matter if we disagree in our taste, discussion should never be about that, lest be want our dialogues to be filled with irrelevant ohhh and ahhhh and yes! which serves no other purpose than filling an empty page.
We have discussed more about this drama while disagreeing than we would ever have done if in accord.
That's why me likes you too.
:D

By the by, episode 16 did me in, if the rest hadn't already. If they don't kill off everyone by the end, this drama will be on nr.1 in my favourites.

I think Secretary Eun has been in charge for too long. He's goodhearted enough, but most of all he got used to have the king rely on him and his good judgment and advice. I also believe that despite his love for Jae Ha's father and brother, he wasn't as enthusiastic as the king about the N/S reunification, and would have preferred for the status quo to stay the same. He then makes a huge, fatal mistake in revealing Jae Kang's vacation spot and from then on he's doomed to treason, because now he's not even serving a King he respects. I agree with you that he won't last long and will be sacrificed.
I like his character too, because it's very human and believable. As I see it, his sin has been... greed for authority.
