Fellow drama viewers, can someone please recommend me some good dramas with him? I've finished Journey to Love where Shisan was my favourite among all the characters. I wanna check some of his other works, but they're either rated poorly on MDL (for costume cdramas anyway) or he's playing a supporting role (and I don't know how much of screen time he gets).
He did ๐่ไธไบบ to be precise (also the title of the episode๐)
Really funny :) I'm actually not a fan of BL dramas misgendering male characters who show no signs of identifying as anything else than male and attaching titles like "wife" etc. to them. However, here, in this entire context, considering how much of a domineering alfa Chi Cheng's public image is and how Wu Suo Wei doesn't call CC a "wife", but just bestows a title like that on CC's father and is dead serious while doing so - it's comedy gold.
probably the dubbing sounded like this, because when she died was okay...he did... in the novel was worse the dad…
Oh, so per novel CC made WSW cry on purpose to help him cry out his sorrow? I read the bits of the novel years ago, but I dropped it (didn't really like it) and never got that far. Now that makes sense, because that's what I took CC's behaviour in the drama for as well. Otherwise it made little sense to me he'd be so petty towards someone whom he loves so much (especially considering all his previous behaviours towards WSW's mom and WSW himself). I wasn't sure though, cause it wasn't spelled out for me ๐ Now I can rest assured I guess ;)
Fr i could never i hate slimy things BUT ZIYU HANDLED IT WITH A HAPPY FACE?!?
I don't remember it being cold. I just remember it being... dry? And as Deadpool above says, kinda firm? All I know is that this experience as a kid affected how I saw snakes for the rest of my entire life, as I never again thought of them as gross afterwards. Now I just have a healthy level of fear of those who are especially venomous, or super good at strangling living things or swallowing them whole ๐

Technically... snakes aren't really slimy... They're not like snails. Or at least to my knowledge and very limited experience (I touched one when I was a kid - it wasn't slimy ๐)
I've seen the recent BTS footage and I now am shocked.
I was certain that the snake they used for the choking scene was not real (as in: they used a real one originally, maybe for a few takes when it was on the ground, near WSW's legs etc. to show it's moving, then they used a prop around WSW's neck plus maybe some final CGI to tweak it just a bit).
Now I'm seeing it was *all* a real snake sliding up and down Ziyu's neck and face ๐
I didn't expect that. Respect for both dedicated actors (Ziyu and the snake ๐)
People on socials are saying Ch Cheng is still in love with his ex. The people who havenโt read the novel or…
Well, I read the bits of the novel years ago, but I don't think I even got to this part or if I did I genuinely don't remember, so I guess I qualify? ๐
He isn't. He was betrayed and never got to process it in a healthy way, never got the closure. There was no apology, no explanation, not conversation, nothing. Hence why he is still affected right now by Wang Shuo's return. But personally I have no doubt that the one who he loves is Wu Suo Wei.
The more I think about it, the more I felt that while it is true that Chi Cheng has moved on, but he hasn't completely…
The rapture between Guo Chengyu and him is one thing, but honestly he could've just resolved it with Chengyu alone - the question of sleeping with your bro's bf, brocode and whatnot is a business between the two of them. I think it's as simple as wanting closure. People need closure. He got cheated on by someone he loved and the person who betrayed him didn't even give him the curtesy of a conversation. I am neither surprised nor blame Chi Cheng that he's still shaken up by the whole thing. The only thing that's wrong is that he apparently didn't tell Wu Suo Wei he intended to meet up with Wang Shuo and Guo Chengyu.
I would recommend: - The On1y One(really, really good, a slow burn and an ending that leaves you hanging the first…
The saddest thing is that The On1y One actually *had* the hype. Admittedly, not to the extent of Revenged Love, but still... I guess the main difference was that mainland audiences didn't like it (and seem to love Revenged Love). But it used to have a 9 rating on IMDB (we kinda know they drop the ratings after some time), with like 7-8K votes (not a few hundred or a thousand like some other highly rated BLs, but eight thousand votes)... Such a shame ๐ญ

No, no, no. No stopping at episode 11. Once people see it, they *need* to experience Sheng Wang's "struggle" in episode 12, at the very least the first 20 minutes of it ๐
It's mandatory and necessary for a proper experience ๐
I'd say episode 8 is a beautiful ending that actually feels the most like closure, but it does strip a person of some moments that transpire later on and are still worth seeing.
To the original author: I'd say watch all of it and suffer with the rest of us once the ending comes ๐

And Chi Cheng's dad is my MVP for today ๐

But you're right, most likely plenty of people had the same thought.
Not very creative of me ;)
