This drama could have been amazing, especially since Yaya always excels in period lakorns. However, I canโt…
I loved Tor in this role. His expressions of care, concern, compassion, the hope in his eyes, the feeling of despair, you can see it all in his emoting eyes. Give it a chance, I hope you enjoy it. Otherwise, surely we all our entitled to our preference of likes and dislikes so it's understandable if you don't like something
According to me, at first may be he likes chantorn.. Because she looks like him, she likes reading, a plain girl,…
Ofcourse we all see things differently. To me the show is very much like Mr. darcy and Elizabeth. Darcy from the first moment was only about Elizabeth, no one else mattered but when how and where he will acknowledge, is another ball game
Because of his low self esteem he's trying to escape he thinks he doesn't deserve the love of the female lead
epi 7:In Anong's birthday party she announced she was going to give the drink to the one she loves, walked up to Wichai & then made a sarcastic comment that he likes things that r easy to get & hence his life is so bland. She proclaimed that since the person she is in love with does not appreciate her love, she is going to love herself even more. This was going on while Wichai brought the ring for Chut to propose to Anong and Anong making drinks with the new guy Prapat. Anong's older brother just introduced Wichai by saying this is Prapat, Anong's dream guy. In the later scene with candles, Anong met Wichai, at that point Anong while drunk & angry said things in circle about her and him whereas Wichai talked about Anong and Chut. For me it was a well written show depicting the culture of 1940s and 50s. Anong was upbeat and progressive. Wichai was a righteous man who was infatuated with Anong. I think for Wichai, he took Anong as a dream girl for all men not just himself. Why then would she settle for a widower whose wife committed suicide and was so bland.

I believe, Wichai never said he likes Chantorn. Chantorn's brother on death bed asked Wichai to look after her. The gentleman he was, never denied anything about Chantorn to protect her grace. She was shown to be born out of wedlock. Wichai due to his own baggage had a soft spot for protecting people's images. As for why Wichai never indulged in a romantic way with Anong, because he would never allow himself to let Anong go to his level. In his eyes his lever was the ultimate hollow pit, nothing graceful or happy. He only loved Anong throughout the journey but kept her on such a high pedestal that he would have never given her the idea to settle on him. I believe Anong till the time Wichai got sick never told him directly that he likes Wichai thats why he will tell her that he had no idea about her love for him. All your tensed up phase should hopefully ease out by episode 11 and 12. Wishing u all the luck! For me, the show was star in the second watch. My first watch put me in angst and hatred over his mother.
I rarely rewatch things, but I've just finished this drama and already wanna rewatch it.
Yes, I can so relate to your comment. I felt the same and have rewatched it already. Adored it way more the second time around. I was able to pick on sweeter and finer moments between the leads that I couldn't comprehend during the misunderstanding phase of our amazing leads.
Woah never did I realize what your age is. I was wondering how can they cast Tor as a widower. You have a face that forever can come in high school era shows. Take it as a compliment, you cool dude!!
Yaya ร Tor is the best thing that happened this year. ๐ This is top lakorn for me! Well executed. I love this…
To me it was much better the second time around and now I am on my third. I simply skipped all the mom's scenes and my brain did wonders after that. I could follow the flow, pay attention to Wichai's subtle moments, his unwavering admiration for Anong, Anong's character development and so much more.
I was completely unprepared for what this drama did to me. This drama was my one in a hundred. It was art. A masterclass…
I'm going bonkers as well. What did I just watch!! So peaceful so surreal, (umm minus the mom) I agree with what you've expressed. This became an unexpected favorite for me too. Wow, simply amazed at so many finer points
