Title Apartment 404 Spoiler
This show is sm fun. I don't usually watch this kind of shows but I was curious since Jennie was returning to…
She is good at picking up on clues, but I thought it was too obvious she was the "spy". The kid was just too naive. Instead of questioning why she made a big deal of Nara drinking orange juice, he thought it was really smart of her to "notice", even though it's not unusual for someone to drink that much at a time, she herself was doing the same in front of everyone. Jae Suk was right for brushing it off, the others knew that this was a mission because they had it too, that's why they knew it was true and found it funny she "got caught". She only managed to deceive the kid by casting suspicions, the rest just knew Nara was one of them. She was also more obvious than Nara with her sudden disappearances. When they were looking for the cup and she suddenly disappeared, I was certain she was a culprit. There was no reason for her to leave at that time without a word and with that expression on her face. She is good at manipulating people which would make her a great spy, she just needs to act more casual when doing secret missions. Very nice for her first time (I assume) though.

It was so easy to tell who the killer is, just by seeing how nervous he got when Park Ji Yoon was trying to write his name, I was wondering why she didn't try to write it in English too. Jang Jin is on his own as usual. XD

I'm in the second episode, and I must say, the two young women are awesome. I cannot tell if they are acting or this is their real personality that just happened to fit the personality of their characters, but they are perfect for this.

The way all the secrets got unfold is disappointing to me. Everyone found out about everything casually. No shocking situations or whatever, they were just told all the secrets and didn't find out by themselves.

Yes, they are considered above average.

It's because the women are old. In asia a woman's age is her strongest trait. An average looking woman who graduated…
If you can’t see that both statements can be true at the same time then I can’t help you. I’m not disagreeing with the subjectivity of beauty. I’m saying that generally women are seen as more attractive/good looking than men. Of course beauty is subjective. It’s just that “subjectivally” most of the world agrees that women are more attractive than men.

I’m pretty sure most of the world disagrees with you but okay. Look is subjective when it comes to people of the same sex. Women are according to multiple studies throughout the decades are seen as more attractive than men. Even straight women would hardly disagree. It doesn’t mean that there aren’t some men who are better looking than some women, it’s just that their average is lower. A lot of men think they are more attractive than they are perceived, and a lot of women regardless of their personal prefrence think (other) women are more attractive than men, even if they never choose women as partners or don’t prefer men who are “as pretty as a girl”. Not going to have a very long discussion about this since they’re only studies and their results may become invalid in the future. Just let’s agree to disagree and move on.

This doesn’t mean they are ugly at all. It just means that women are typically better looking than men. You can have two good looking people with one who is better looking than the other, it doesn’t mean the other one is “ugly”, that’s just a word you used not me.

This show is for marriage. She wouldn’t have picked him if it was just for dating or just because she like how he looks. I think maybe she thought she had a better chance since being slightly overweight isn’t usually that big of a deal to a foreigner.

She is easy to kill so no one wants to actually kills her. What purpose would it serve when they can still use…
There is no use of a self serving servant to be honest. One day she is your ally the other she is your worst enemy. It’s always best to get rid of a snake when you see one

If this is true he would’ve gotten more than one vote. He even got it last second, meaning she contemplated a lot before deciding to vote for him. Also, maybe you should stop treating Asia as one person. Generalizing a whole continent is very bold and the stereotype will often (if not always) be very wrong. There are Asian countries you probably haven’t even heard of and not every country is the same.

There are a lot of errors but can still be understood. It is good enough for this type of show. There is a version that is very bad though

I saw a lot of very young women in the 3rd episode. I even thought they were too young to get married and doubted that they are mature enough.

I don’t think that’s true. We have traditional marriages in our (Asian) country too. In fact, dating (openly) before marriage is extremely rare and frowned upon here, but personality still matters in picking a partner, so is religion and values. Hobbies were only a consideration in the most recent years and depends on the mindset of the person who is getting married. All these things are taken into consideration. Korea as I know is way more open-minded about people getting to know each other before marriage, they often have blind dates to introduce a possible partner in a traditional marrriage. Money is important of course, but it’s not the only consideration even for traditional marriages.

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
Why is it so easy to kill a king but so hard to kill a mere court lady? She is disrespecting the queen dowager, competing with the queen, and she is even blackmailing the king himself but no one is able to make her disappear? No one will even ask about her or miss her. She is just a high ranked servant.

Title Captivating the King Spoiler
The bad scheming is getting rediculous. I think the writer is thinking "since the female lead is so good at baduk, she should be so good at predicting people moves and always ahead of them", but since the writer is lacking in that area, the female lead appears to the viewers to be just jumping to conclusions and her conclusions magically turn out to be true. Like when she "predicted" that the king's uncle wouldn't be able to see the princess' replacement's face because her replacement "won't show him her face". She just cannot cover her face just because she refused to show it. She won't be able to talk so that he won't recognize that it wasn't the princess' voice. When her veil fell the only thing she was able to do is to turn her head. If it wasn't for the luck of the ambasedor's interference, she would've been easily caught. The "he is definetly lying because there is no way he could've seen her face" was a total shot in the dark, she was just lucky it turned out to be true.
