It even says on iQIYI that the genre is romance. I don't understand why you would cast such young FL and not an equally young ML. Even if they only hold hands and hug, it's still weird.
For a short drama this is really good. Chemistry is amazing, I'm loving the leads together. They seem more natural in those few scenes since they got together than many other drama couples in normal length dramas lol
I really enjoyed the conversations between female characters and the development of FL's character. When she slapped him, I felt such relief. He deserved that slap and 100 more. Interesting drama with great acting. I always appreciate how jdramas are shorter so they're easy to binge.
What am I supposed to do now that both this and LLTG are over? I need something similar to either of these dramas soon.
I really liked it. It was sweet, romantic, funny, sad, and everything in between. Both leads really improved in terms of acting compared to their previous projects. I hope they work together again, maybe in a modern drama. Also, OST is INCREDIBLE. Good job to whoever was in charge if it.
An Yu is one of those younger actors that will actually do well in age gap dramas because he can act. I usually stay away from such dramas because they make ML overly immature and annoying, but it doesn't seem like that's the case here. Based on the trailer, I'll enjoy this a lot lol Plus, it has Gina, so it has to be good.
Honestly, I expected this to be much worse than it actually was. It was cute and I liked the friendship aspect of it. Amy is the type of friend everyone would want. I really liked her character. Chemistry between the leads was nice as well. If you're looking for something easy to watch, this is for you.
I've finally finished it. It was an amazing drama with great acting and OST. I never got bored and I really enjoyed the character development of FL. Lu Si has improved a lot as an actress. I like that she's taking these types of roles now. Wu Lei has a very bright future. I can't wait for his next drama. The only thing I dislike is the ending. I wish we got more of the leads together and happy since their whole journey was tough. It seemed somehow abrupt and as if something is missing.
I hope we get another period drama on this level soon since I'll miss this one.
I thought I was ready for what was coming, but I was wrong. Very wrong. Amazing acting by Wu Lei. I'm so excited for his future projects. Now back to being miserable until I finally get some happy scenes...lol
Now that all episodes are out, I'm back and ready to finish watching this drama. I've seen some tweets over the last week, so I think I'm ready for all the angst. Wish me luck.
Apparently we're entering angst era soon which means I'm taking a break from this drama until we get happy times again lol I can't wait to watch it though!
That ending scene with Old Consort's husband being happy about her possibly taking her own life was hilarious. He was already imagining his life without her lol
This was so hard to watch. I don't remember the last time I've skipped so much. Boring, not enough scenes between the leads, flashbacks all the time that you started getting confused which episode you're watching, constant problems etc. Good luck to anyone who'll try to watch this.
