A strong empowered female lead doing badass shit paired with a pretty boy simp-y supportive male lead? SIGN ME UP Also dilreba and gong jun are 2 actors I love and it'd be interesting to see them together
It's a kdrama kink. Females are always portrayed as poor, innocent, angelic victims that could do no wrong. They…
seems to be internalized misogyny considering this is enjoyed predominantly by women. I'm a guy, but this is just unacceptable to me. Maybe some commitment to the original source, maybe more morally grey female leads?
ok so I absolutely hated the original novel, I really hope they changed it. First off, both the MC and ML are psychopaths. The ML is at least an open evil monster but the MC acts like a hypocrite the whole novel. All she had to do was restrain the ML but no she tends to enjoy being useless damsel in distress or messing around. The FL is okay with the demon king acting incredibly devilish and killing all sorts of people and having them r*ped etc, and then be all super sympathetic for poor demon baby guy (because she's a total psychopath herself). Anyway things get complicated with MC oh so comedically trying to hypocritically and not really stop ML as he murders tons of innocent women and men and do all sorts of atrocities for power. Also There's a LOT of 2nd FL angst which is disturbing and nauseating to say the least
i really hope this is better than the pathetic Palace of Devotion. Empress liu's life has the potential to be made into an extremely spicy and interesting drama. Please do well
yeah no the female lead was cold, calm and mysterious in the webtoon, She didn't even take the male lead(the classmate) seriously at all. The bullying was subtle, not loud and unnecessary like the drama. Why does the drama have to make the FL so dramatic???
Chinese version = dark, mature, complex/detailed plot Korean version = typical shoujo romance I prefer the chinese version, mainly because of the strong female lead. I think the Korean version is better in romance/comedy and you feel better watching it, but the modern music feels out of place sometimes. Also chinese version is actually histroically accurate, battle of the princes upon Emperor Kangxi's death was very famous and inspired many shows. FL actually has a role in the chinese version, she has her own passion and is actually the emperor's close confident
Too many actors in China and yet they chose the ugly ones to be the male leads for this drama. They're very unappealing…
because you're a low iq watcher and thus prefer eye candy rather than actual depth and maturity. Go back to watching your kdramas with dumb weak female leads and eye candy male leads(which is unrealistic)
I think in this one the girl is dumber than the one in the Korean adaptation. Though both are stupid
umm what? Here the FL is actually smart and mature, she's independent and strong. Unlike the koream FL who was idiotic and annoying and ended up getting abandoned by 2 men. In this one the FL was the one who left both because she prioritises herself and not some man
