It will touch your heart and soul

Whenever I watch a movie or series, somehow it's important to me that the characters looks good (I know I might sound shallow but who doesn't like good looking characters?!) and the places they shoot should be attractive as well to keep me watching. This exceeds my expectations!

Cliche in every story cannot be completely ignore. So this is a classic love triangle and the struggles that comes being born rich and powerful. I love the cinematography! They do justice in shooting their scenes in Cuba. It makes me want to visit the place. I also love the beach and the tall wooden tower they have visited.

So far, I don't find it boring. Their lines are well delivered and some poetic. I love the phase on how the series is moving. The acting for me is just fine. Meaning, they are not exaggerated at all. Some of the scenes are very emotional and heart breaking. It does made you wonder from time to time if rich people do really have this kind of problem lol!

Supporting characters are not bad either. Park Bogum's friend Kim Jooheon and Song Hyeko's secretary Kwak Sunyoung are someone you need to watch out too! They are cute. The friendship between Hyeko and Sunyoung is something to be admired too. I also find the driver, Ko Changeseok funny!

Hopefully this series will not keep me interested till the end.

UPDATE:
I finished the series long back but forgot to update. It was great! There are several funny scenes as well. What I really admire in this series is the fact that Park Bogum never gave-up. Though it has hinted, he opted not too. In other drama, that will be case and the partner will chase back. In this case, he showed he will stay until Song Hyeko realise his worth. I love how he used the shoes as a symbol. I love it so much that I repeated some of the memorable scenes. There are several lines from Park Bogum that find very poetic.

Powerful Chemistry!

I’m such a fan of Sunny and Grimreaper of Goblin. And like other shippers, I also hope that they will be given a chance to have their own series, which happened!

I’ve read this an adaption based on a web novel. The story centers on a very famous actress played by Yoo In-na who got involved in a drug scandal which causes her career downfall. She chanced upon a script and decided she wants to make a comeback. But the scriptwriter will only allow her if she will be willing to undergo a character study by working in a law firm since the role she wants is an attorney. The law firm owner assigned her to Lee Dong-wook who is the most famous lawyer in the firm but a very cold one. I don’t know how unique the plot if, but I find it different still and refreshing.

I feel that this drama was indeed tailored made for them. In-na is very cute whenever she has a scene. She never exaggerate in any of her scene. Same thing for Dong-wook. I love how he can be cold one minute and the next minute he will turn into boyfriend goal. I love how he speaks very seriously then he will suddenly say the sweetest thing to In-na. They have a very, very good chemistry. Audience will never be disappointed with several kissing scenes they have. I mean really several. I love how they act as a couple.

Though Dong-wook is pictured cold, he did change a bit when he realised that he likes In-na. I like it they didn’t enforce a drastic change in his character. Supporting cast is not very distracting as well. Meaning, they have their own stories but they don’t overshadow the main one which is good. Sometimes too many side stories could be very distracting and somehow they lost focus on main one. So far I’m enjoying it and worth every episode! OST wise though none catch my attention so far.

Undecided Female Lead

I have very high hopes for this drama when I view several snippets. Though the story is not quite believable, I thought it might bring something different. I also like the male lead, Ao Rui Peng from his previous drama Poisoned Love. I love that drama so I was like thinking this could be the same.

The first few episodes is okay. I mean the chemistry and such. I haven't seen any drama by the female lead, Rain Lu but i mean acting wise I find it okay. Not the best one but still okay. But along the way, the female character attitude becomes unbearable in so many ways. She knows for a fact already that the male lead is AI. Of course, he is not human. He will not grow old. But she still chose to fall in love and save him. But is so many times the guy proposes, she will reject it, then mull over and regret. Then, give him a chance then decide it will not work out. Like what the hell! If this is not known from the initial episodes, then I could totally understand why you keep rejecting the male lead. But girl! You know it already. This made the drama feel like dragging already and loose sense. I mean, i know that female lead is usually portrayed like the weaker sex, fine. But her indecisiveness here is something I cannot ignore.

I wish the writers are more creative on how to tackle the issue further. Or how to progress the story further. Like the story about My Girlfriend is an Alien drama. Also, I cannot ignore the fact how they dresses the male lead. He is supposed to be an idol. I wish they could dress him in more flattering clothes. His casual clothes looks fine. But whenever they show him in his idol clothes, it doesn't do any justice given he has a great physique.

In still in progress watching it and will try to finish it since I only have few episodes left. But basically, this is something you can watch one time. Side stories are also confusing and not much interest so I skip a great deal of it. The music, it is something familiar. The melody. I cannot figure which drama was it. Anyway, once you hear it, it sounds familiar.

UPDATE: I decided to drop it. I cannot bear to watch this show further. I know just few more episodes but I cannot really take the story line anymore so I just jumped and see the last episode. As mentioned above, this is something you can watch once...and probably you will do a lot of skipping or fast forwarding. I really like you Ao Rui Peng, but sorry! This show did you dirty :(

I’m a fan of the original series. I’ve watched the original one several times and even owned a copy. For this version, I like the fact that the male lead closely resembled Jerry Yan of the original version. They put emphasis on the love triangle of Lei, Shancai and Dao Ming Si. But I feel that they could have chosen a better female lead. There are times it is very hard to watch some scenes because of her acting.

Overall, it’s average. I only watched this version once. I’ve watched all the version so if I’m going to rank this, this will come 3rd. First will be the original one, second will be the Chinese version, this is 3rd and last will be the Japanese version.

It will make you reminisce your high school life

I always say that good looking actors are very important to me whenever I watched any drama. For this case, not all of them are good looking BUT they are not bad looking either. Since the setting is in high school, it is some how, for me at least, makes it more realistic in some sense.

I haven't watched that many episodes but the fact I love the past 11 episodes makes we want to write a review already so the others will support this drama.

As mentioned above, this drama is about high school students. I'm not familiar with any of main cast. This is my first time watching them but I can say all their acting are good. No exaggeration. I mean. in some episodes, I feel that Li He (played by Xia Zhi Guang) sometimes do exaggerate in some oh his reaction but probably when you really like someone, you can be very bold in some of your actions.

The female lead Yuan Cai Xi (played by Dai Lu Wa) is very simple. I love how she acts and like she knows Li He likes her but she is playing it cool or how she is indifferent with Ning Ze Yu (played by Yan Xu Jia) extra attention to her. What I love most here as well, I mean the typical family issue is still there. Like the family of Ning Ze has a very high expectation out of him and wants him to become a lawyer. There was a scene that his mom throw away his books but Li He saved them and kept it for Ning Ze. I love that he still went against their wishes and pursue what he likes. I also like the family of Li He. He was athletic student so his parents doesn't expect much from him. I love that they still support him BUT they wish that least for once he passed the exam. I do believe such family exist and I hope they show more this kind of setting.

You thought this is only the typical love triangle. But here comes the childhood bff idol Ye Jing Xi (played by Zhou Yi Ran). I like the fact that though he became popular, he still can't forget his bff whom he saved long back. I love how Li He and Ning Ze worked together to block the efforts of Ye Jing Xi to be with Yuan Cai Xi.

Overall, I love watching this series so far. I can't help but to compare with Remember My Boy drama (currently on hold on my end from watching). Each episode is very interesting. So far.

Back in college, I got addicted in Korean/Taiwanese/Chinese TV series because of Meteor Garden. Then, I just stopped watching altogether because I focused on US TV series.

When I asked my friends for recommendation when I got interested again in watching Korean TV series, this came highly recommended. If you are not fan historical settings/adaptations in a series, the first episode might discourage you which happened to me. After watching the first episode, it took me two days before watching the second episode and I got hooked ever since!

I love the story line. Very refreshing and unique which attracted me most and kept me hooked all throughout. The cast were amazing! Even the supporting ones. Watch out for Sunny ????. She will steal your heart with her wit and charm! There are too many funny scenes which added spice to the show. And when tragedy hits, it really made me cry. It also made me think about afterlife and reincarnation. Although ending is expected, I still love how it turned out. Even the music were on the spot! I’ve downloaded the music/OST related to this show.

Overall, if you want to deviate from the usual romcom plot, I highly recommend this series. It will keep you smiling and laughing. Dramatic part will hit you hard and were done tastefully. I love even the places where they shoot it especially the beach, buckwheat field and the tea house! I wouldn’t hesitate to watch it over and over again!

Cute Chill Love Story

I'm a bit biased since the male lead is Lin Yi. I find him cute when I saw him first in Put Your Head On My Shoulder drama. His acting is subtle but very cute. As for the female lead, this is the first time I've watched her.

I find that the female lead doesn't fit in this role. I mean she is cute and etc. but since she is supposed to be a singer, I don't find her fitting for the role. Although it was initially insinuated that there will be an age gap between the lead, I find the female lead a tad too old looking beside the male lead.

For the story line, I think it is becoming a norm where ordinary people falls in love with an idol or actor/actress. I love online games and I think (regardless of the occupation), if you really spend a lot of time playing together, it is possible to develop some feelings. I love how the games comes "alive" thru them. I remember like how they did it also for Love O2O. Inserting this "game action" gives some sort of break from all the "drama" (no pun intended) in their life. The second male lead I also find too old for the female lead.

So far no heavy drama which I really like. There is enough cute scenes that makes you want to watch more. Hhhmmm the side story for the second leads, I find a bit confusing so I just usually skip it. But overall this is worth watching more than once.

As for the music, I love the OST so far. Very light and refreshing to the ears. I plan to download them on my phone.

I love Lee Jong-suk and saw several series he starred in. For this series, he is a successful editor who has been in love with his childhood bestfriend Lee Na-young. This is the first time I saw her act.

In this series, it was mentioned that Na-young will be older (as per the series, gap of 5 years). But I feel she looks a tad way too old for Jong-suk. I mean, she is pretty and great actress but that’s my opinion only :). The series will revolve partly on how Na-young got married and stop working. But since she got divorced and has a kid to support to, she needs to find a job. But the thing is, since she didn’t work for quite sometime, she found it difficult to go back. I’m not really sure if this is the reality in South Korea. If it is, then it such a sad thing. This is a first time for me to encounter such a plot. So, I find it very interesting.

And since they are adult, I find it quite cute how they act as a couple. I’m not against second lead syndrome or having other characters shine in a series but for this one, hhhmm so far, there wayyy ttoooo many love stories going on. I mean, the funny “relationship” between Park Hoon and Oh Ji-yool is fine but I feel they are focusing too much on it. Anyway, they made-up for it by giving several cute, funny, lovely anddddd most of all kissing scenes between Jong-suk and Na-young.

In terms of the places they shoot the series, everything were lovely so far even the soundtrack which I have downloaded already. I will update my review once I’m done watching it. But so far, it’s very highly recommended!

Light, Cute and Refreshing!

I’m a visual viewer. I kept saying this whenever I post a review. When you watched a series, you are spending time to look at their faces and expression so this matter to me. No matter how shallow I sound :).

For this series, I love how the main actress looks, Bubble Zhu. At the end of each episode, they are giving you a glimpse of their future life (2015). I love her bare face because she really looks young and with make-up on, she looks very sophisticated. For main actor, Daniel Zhou, he looks cute as a teenager. But his looks like as an adult, hhhmm a little bit disappointing. The stylist could have done a better job in my opinion. Or it is also possible he just possess a baby face that is hard to style to look older.

This is a classic case of high school love life with twist and turns. I have seen 8 episodes so far. The story is very light and exciting. Hopefully not too much heavy drama. The story phasing is quite fast. Though they insert a little bit of future life at the end of each episode, it is not very confusing…yet. This series contains 24 episodes so hopefully it will stay in this way.
There are some loopholes (which could be a bit confusing in the how things turn out) but quite forgivable. There is a good chemistry amongst the characters so far and no second male lead syndrome yet. The focus so far is the main leads story and snippet of other characters but not too much. I believe this is their first drama, and the acting is just right. Nothing cringey. No over the top acting. I love so far that the focus is only them. Again, so far. Sometimes inserting too many stories in a series could be distracting which makes me just fast-forward to the main leads story. This story so far is only them.

I’m not paying match attention so OST. So, I’m guessing the OST is not good enough. LOL! I will try to pay attention on the next upcoming episodes. As for re-watch value, I’ve only seen 8 episodes so I can’t really tell. I can only tell whether worth re-watching once I’ve completed the series. But so far, I’m happy with the flow and will continue watching it. I will provide an update on my review once I’ve completed it.
