I believe it was a translation error, and instead he meant, "oh, this is a dream". Everything in the drama actually happened between them, the ending scene is Eunho dreaming about what he would do if he could go back to the past and express his feelings to Dohyeon clearer and sooner, by giving/drawing the bracelet on him.

I'm most certain the whole later episodes are NOT a dream. This is since the only time Eunho could've fallen asleep is episode 7 when Dohyeon is watching him (Dohyeon is wearing the bracelet here already), and Eunho is wearing his school shirt and tie here. However, when he wakes up at the end of ep 10, he is wearing an unbuttoned shirt and black top underneath, and Dohyeon is not wearing his bracelet. So this theory "it was all a dream" doesn't really add up, since they are wearing different clothing.

Call me delulu I don't care, my interpretation is that the clothing decision was done on purpose. Specifically the bracelets, which have an important significance all the way through the series - I choose to believe OAK wouldn't randomly forget and choose for Dohyeon (who has consistently worn it throughout the show as a sign of devotion) to not be wearing it in the ending scene, while Eunho is.

I just don't get how the significance of the ending scene makes sense for it to be reality in your view. Originally, Dohyeon gives Eunho the bracelet before you said the dream began - so then why isn't Dohyeon wearing his yet Eunho is? I believe the ending scene is a dream which depicts Eunho imagining what he would do in the past since he's finally accepted his own feelings, and drawing on the bracelet for Dohyeon shows this emotional shift.

For the last time, I'm not attached to expectations for the ending. I just don't like the idea of the emotional development between BOTH characters in the relationship and those interactions to have not been real.

That's my interpretation, I'm highly satisfied with it, and it won't change. Anyways this is all going in circles and I can't be bothered to argue anymore.

When Eunho "fell asleep" and "woke up" to Dohyeon watching him, Eunho is wearing different clothes in these two scenes so the "dream" couldn't have happened. He wasn't dreaming. The ending scene is the dream.

You cannot understand someone's true feelings just by observation if they are not willing to open up. Dohyeon isn't a mind reader, and knowing someone for 19 years doesn't mean he knows Eunho inside and out without them actually talking to eachother about how they feel.

And you still haven't addressed where I pointed out that he is literally wearing different clothes in the scenes you say he "fell asleep" and "woke up". How does that add up perfectly?

I'm not complaining because it's not what I "wanted". I'm complaining because, by your theory of it being a dream, the whole conflict, resolution, development, and understanding between Eunho and Dohyeon would not have happened, and that is important to me because a relationship isn't about only one person. It's about both understanding each other.

It's not childish or silly to want an ending that makes sense. It's also not childish or silly to be upset if all the romantic tension and cute scenes seemingly get erased because it was "all a dream". Which is a rehashed plot that has been used over and over in wider media, a literal cliche.

In ep 7, Eunho is wearing his shirt and tie, but at the end of ep 10, when the "dream" ended he is shirt is completely open with a black top underneath and no tie. Also, the most glaringly obvious aspects to indicate the ending scene is a dream is that Dohyeon isn't wearing his bracelet - the bracelet he has worn nearly the whole of the series? Which he also is wearing in ep 7 when you are saying Eunho entered the dream. If it was actually a dream from that point then they would've matched the surroundings.

It doesn't make any sense this way at all. Maybe it's just wardrobe issue from the production crew but the ending scene doesn't make sense in itself for Eunho to be giving Dohyeon the bracelet in the real life at all.

People are allowed to be upset because if the last few episodes was just a dream, it means that the emotional scenes, understanding eachothers feelings and development of their relationship into becoming more emotionally mature did not happen at all. What you are saying is that Dohyeon did not experience any of it, and only Eunho felt those things.

A major part of this drama is Dohyeon trying to understand Eunho, and vice versa as well. If it was all a dream then this progression did not actually happen between them but instead only in Eunho's head, which is definitely cause for people to be upset and feel robbed - "the development in their relationship was fake?" It's normal for people to feel wronged.

Yes, totally agree the reactions are justified and I was initially pissed too. It was very poorly done, and since all of us had the same reaction it's definitely a mistake for the drama. They should've done better

It's very misleading but the ending scene is the dream. It's current-day Eunho in the present dreaming of what he would do if he could go back to the past and say to Dohyeon. Everything that happened is real.

WHY did they have to make the ending scene so misleading like that. Everything in series did happen, the part Eunho is dreaming actually is the ending scene, where he imagines what he would say to a younger Dohyeon.

Don't panic like I did - none of it was actually a dream!! Only ending scene is a dream, just very poor directing choice to word it like that.

Thank you for the clarification because I love it this way. I wish they made it more clearer because it's so misleading for no reason - I was genuinely so upset thinking all those beautiful scenes together weren't real.

Maybe I'm too sensitive but it makes me sad to see the comments dragging this BL so much which I did not expect. I'm enjoying this drama, actually because the plot is simple and especially because of the dynamic between the leads and Do Hyeon's unique personality. Everyone has different opinions, but calling a series that others enjoy "trash" is harsh imo
