I wanna ask something, why Jin Chen didn't promote the drama with Yang Yang & the rest of casts? I don't see…
illogical - no actress at her pay grade is going to fu her future gigs like the gossip being 'reported'. we are talking millions of €£$ here. makes no sense. she has a contract that includes promotion and the penalty for non compliance would be beyond. let the haters hate. my take on the FL so far is neutral have not seen enough of her on screen to have an opinion - yet..
the romance never was a focus and they don't want you to ship, so there is no need to further skinshipthe continuity…
not a mole. comments are on point. think its more about some of us being passionate about the genre, the production value, and wanting to be percise. its us - not you. i myself went overboard with my reactions/comments yesterday and got hard blocked by a more senior member of the board.
Well put - good example. I see what you are saying. From my standpoint its the post production mixing of fx genres.…
They actually whipped this together - all the bits and pieces in just over a years time. The donghua was in development (with the original writer) and production starting some 9 years ago. Then came the drama (not so long ago) and the drama budget.
Okay, I'm just curious. If it was her female sect members who were with Wan when that beast's horny sac exploded,…
You did ask right? The beast's prostrate sac (novel) testicle (donghua) exploded. HL harvests it in the donghua and the FL lead in the drama. Used for attracting a mate the ML/FL got lost in the sparkle. TMI? 😂 This is an unusual version of getting to sexy time vs the standard wuxia/xianxia use of an aphrodisiac. It really is about the beast, its anatomy, havesting bits to be used for spells, and then inexperienced cultivators. Then again when it comes to harvesting the more the merrier?
The main reason is that the novel is long and features a lot of internal struggles. The pacing allows readers…
True, the smoothness of the journey and the broken character storylines are key weekness. It seems like the writers try to fill these core pervasive gaps with information speak overkill. Sometimes it helps most of the time not.
I'm on ep. 8. They simply chopped everything. Destroyed the original story and Han Li growth and character depth,…
Its a thought provoking question. Harem 'crushing' - yes you are right though he pays no attention to the women and does whatever he needs to do to get around it and/or away from them. Technical harem - no cause it requires the collective physical presence of the women.
The post-production work wasn’t very good. Although it’s a minor detail, I noticed something as a viewer.…
Well put - good example. I see what you are saying. From my standpoint its the post production mixing of fx genres. As they combine the digital files including live action, CGI, 3D rendering/animation, static image files, and box reels splices - something is getting lost in vfx translation. Part of the glitching could also be because this seems to be a groundbreaking attempt at moving the pre-existing (outstanding) donghua into a live action drama by heavily relying on the 3D production - essentially creating a new hybrid visual art form? They must be learning along the way which is exciting really.
