[This is a mix of Korean and Thai translation by the way here since the Korean translation was a bit amiss so I don't know how it's been translated in English]

Tongrak: I'm going to work nonstop, you don't need to come tomorrow.

( The expression used here is ปั่นงาน which is slang and implies he's gonna work without rest to finish his work as soon as possible)

Checked in Korean and they translated it as " It's on the opposite direction from my house " which makes more sense but is not exactly what was written in Thai so I'm sticking with the literal translation)

Kanmook: Should I do anything and everything (for her) as well?

( This sentence is a bit ambiguous in English so I stuck with the (almost) literal translation but a more natural translation would be: " I shouldn't be catering to her every whim like that.")

Kanmook: I'm your secretary, not her's.

Kanmook: You understand me right? Phi Rak.

Kanmook: Right?

Rak: I don't understand.

[CAN'T THEY JUST SHUT UP NOW!]

The conversation of Rak and his sister is that their father come and look for Meena (Rak's niece) at school and his sister is afraid. Rak said tell the father to contact him if he shows up again. Hope it helps.

I saw the reuters during FYH filming so I was looking out for what role she'll have. Her look and demeanor are different here so it's totally understandable why you couldn't place her at first. 😁

Ep.1-6 reaction

I've watched enough of investigative historical cdramas to say that this one is clipping away nicely.

I like Song Yi as YNX because she doesn't overact nor underact even from JOL1 to Destined and till now. In this drama, her character is smart, resourceful, and plucky. She has certain intonations here which makes her sound so cute. If you are not a fan of her voice here, don't watch her in Louyang coz her "Er Lang" will drive you nuts! Haha!

Luo YunXi as JXB is refreshing to watch in this genre. He was really good in the fight scenes. I was especially impressed with the archery fight sequence in the reeds/tall grass. He was adorable in the clingy drunken scene. Good to see LIS' Su Chang and TTEOTM's Si Ying reunited with their boss. 😂

The witty banter between YNX and JXB was fun to watch. Their bond/relationship is shaping up already.

In 2015, I watched the OG Kmovie The Beauty Inside (with gorg Han Hyoo Joo) that the Kdrama was based on, and that one was very poignant but too short to fully explore the implications of the fantasy elements of the story. I am not sure if FYH will touch more on the complexities of YNX shapeshifting - not just as a comedic element but as a way to challenge socially dictated norms/gender stigma - like her being perceived as a "loose woman". That tavern scene and succeeding night flute scene were handled beautifully by Song Yi and Xixi.

Looking forward to more of our main CP and the introduction of other characters. 💕

I love your write up but according to the novel Tong gonna pull a crazy stunt against Joe in the series cause of his "jealousy".
Tong would be in so many huge debts cause of his extravagant lifestyles.
Tong would regret marrying Ming sister cause he thought she is the one in charge of the family fortune cause she's the elder.
Tong might try to seduce Ming thinking Ming is still CRAZY over him.

I don't trust his mother so I really don't think she cheated but a little more there would have been nice. I just feel bad for his wife and wish she had gotten some proper resolution.

For the son's power: I don't think we can really understand how it works completely but to me it works this way. His power is to find "lost thing" and bring them back to his present self. So it find is dad when he was "lost", 18y ago when he save teenager Do Da-Hae just before the lab blew up. Seeing him completely fine, I don't think he went to the past per se. More like a summon ?

It's also why Gwi-Joo "disappeared". For him, being with his son his like it was yesterday when he saved Do Da-Hae. Time travel logic here.

you suggest in your initial comment that those of us shipping Grace and Dong Hee are merely misinterpreting friendly feelings for romantic feelings, that we must not know what friendship looks like. And I'm saying shipping generally doesn't give two flying fucks about what canon actually says. People ship characters who've never even spoken to each other, lol. It's about seeing two characters who's vibes you like and mashing them together like barbie dolls.
