This drama already half way when The first jasmine airing. Sadly but airing dramas tend to overshadow each other. That's why airing time is important.

It is good. It reminds me The Double, the intensity, the backstabbing, the revenge.

It explained in drama, Yanfang take care of Yanlai and somehow showing a kind gesture. Thus Yanlai feels obligated to Yanfang.

Novel is very different from drama. Comparing it is pointless. Because Chu Zhao do not save the little Emperor in novel. She become Empress by through other mean.

Editing could be better but is not that horrible.

She never glance to ML on public or during a court. Probably you should watch again, ML escorting Chu Zhao when she accused poisoning the Emperor, it was not a romance gesture.

I get feeling it is really experimental drama. They cut an episode number and try to capture dramatic feeling of vertical drama. Just my guess.

Chen Du Ling gave all out when Chu Zhao choked by Xun. Shocked, confusion, pain and sadness. But people comment be like " I don't know what expression she make "

They explain it enough. Chu Zhao was teenager rebel but deep down she still cares of him. His dad tremendously cares of her but he can't change her stubbornness on her first life.

Why does the FL suddenly want absolute power? Pretty simple it was to survive and keep her father live. But when she acting as Grand Princess, things going more and more complicated.

Watching Ashes to Crown while waiting for this. Bai Lu and Che Du Ling , remind me of TTEOTM days.

I agree not everyone can pull vengeful character like Chen Du Ling.

It is warring state period. Chu kingdom was one of the Kingdom that equal to Qin kingdom before Qin unite all China.

Technically , she is not rebirth. She have a vision or dream. Rebirth is just a way main protag to have upper hand because she have more information about the world . So is it really matters if she truly rebirth?

It is just her hair style and more plain makeup. Nothing weird about it.
