Heaven act bad is pretty much deconstruction of old fairytale/mythology. OFC only for drama and to create something fresh from old cliche.

TBH this kind of harem is nothing new. If it anime/modern drama, it will be:

- Jing : a classmate FL meet during rain and they sharing umbrella, FL fall for him on this tender moment.
- XL : hot senior on sport club, FL once had crush but it go complicated.
- Xuan : childhood friend, FL grow up together.
- Fenglong : a handsome junior that have crush on FL.

Also to remember, demons in fairytale is not handsome dude like Xiang Liu. They are disgusting and monster like, they are eating kids and devour corpse. So there is no room of sympathy for them. Tao-ist hunted them. Buddha forgive them and wanted them walk into benevolent path.

People hated demons, people hunted them down or subdue them. So people hate violence, bully and abuse, similar logic still apply. In old fairytale story, Demons can be good but still capable doing cruelty. Like The Legend of The White Snake, even though White Snake demon is on path of Buddha but when angry, she unleash rage by drowning a town and killing many people. It was diminishing all good deed she done. It is like cautionary tale about karma.

XIang Liu do not deserve love because cruelty he is done. It is karma.

Tencent do not do merch but Youku does.

XiaoYao took 300 years from a little kid to grown up.

I enjoying this. Nothing too serious so far, funny with touching story. Visual is eye candy.

They wanted Angelababy play lead role. I can't imagine, she is the most wooden actress ever although really pretty.

I just see " cry in agony" bullet comment in wetv. All Youliu shippers died those day.

It is 10 stress level if you are shipping wrong character.

This production company deserve all the money.

Hating characters is fine but hating on actor is not fine.

Xiang Liu deserve a karma for all torture he is done to Xiao Yao. He don't deserve love until those damage he inflicted repaid.

Yeah, she is amazing. I feels rage see her tortured.

Xiao Yao is not Haoling King's daughter. She is daughter of Chi Chen with her mom, Xiyan Princess. Haoling King already knew this and still wanted to raise her because his love for her mom.

Chi Chen was Chenrong main War General but he had so many enemies in Chenrong. Handful of Chenrong family/generals wanted to usurping a throne and he had no choice punishing those betrayers/villains. But most of times Chi Che become scapegoat for another people crime. Simply put Chi Che was completely missunderstood and people spread bad rumour about him. If he is bad dude, how he become a trusted man for both Chenrong King and Princess? Xiao Yao's dad is awesome so you no need to worry.

If you know prequel, it is not even a plot twist. The answer is Yes.

Let's get real, none of three ML save her at all. Even Xuan do not do it but his guards/ subordinate. But Jing saved her in capacity, even XL told if no one give spirit power to her that she will dead for real.

That murder so brutal. The assassin do not even hear Xiao Yao plea, it was stone cold revenge.
