Currently on episode 9. When does this trial end? How are they going to fit 6 more (5? Does the cute animal one…
It at ends 12 but if they follow the gist of the novel then the rest of the lifetimes should be shorter. 5-7 technically aren't lifetimes they have to live per se. They spend those last 3 trying to seal an evil force and in the drama's case, they may be trying to deal with the Cang Hai issue. That's my guess.
Finally finished ep 12. I felt sad for the parents but honestly I’m just glad that this 2nd trial is over. Too…
The parents! 😭 We didn't get much screentime for them but they were so loving. I'm kind of sad this arc went down this route as it was my favorite but I do feel a relief it's over. The prince and political palace problems were getting boring... But for the leads I wished it was focused more on them in this arc.
I wish they would have the main character be the male lead. The FL got to me way too much and I give up on this…
Agreed. I like that they are keeping the core plot points, but the way they are executing the points are mehh.. the enjoyable part is focusing on the leads and how they develop but these side characters are confusing me and making me lose the feel for the leads entirely. I already want more of the leads.
Glad to hear it conveyed what the novel wrote. I'll most likely read it after this drama finishes. I think the…
I would highly recommend reading after! Book is great but waiting would be best or you might end up like me and many others. 😅 Yeap. The execution of this lifetime was draggy with the 3rd prince arc. But I was told he has a greater purpose so I'm hoping later down the line things will make sense with his behavior. I can finally feel invested too! lol. Hate to say it, but maybe they just needed to die so we can understand it better. For the 2nd CP, I think they're fine. The last few episodes just made their scenes kind of clunky and random.
I'm the same. I like that they're sticking to the main points but the execution is off. The enemies to lovers…
Yes, personal stakes would have been better. The novel story is simple but sweet because its mainly focused on the leads. lol to the underwater kiss scenes. The only struggle is when they resurface 😅😅
honestly I don’t think the first life is executed that well I don’t feel like it’s that impactful. The death…
I'm the same. I like that they're sticking to the main points but the execution is off. The enemies to lovers vibe is what made it enjoyable. Every time they return to the heaven realm you can feel the impact. I try my best to be open minded but can't help think about the comedy bits. Him being Ancient God of War gives their relationship a different standing too. Giving it more of a out of respect kind of ordeal instead of 2 regular immortals.
The fact the FL fell in love with ML character in the tribulation… girl I’d fall in love with him too 😫…
LCK and SXY's arc could be their own drama lol. But yess! I'd fall in love with LCK too. Such a sweetheart. The only sucky part is, it feels like an eternity for him but it's only days for her since she's in heaven realm.
Why LCK hair turned white? I don't understand it in c-dramas. Their hair turns white, not because of old age,…
Yes, agreed with Lan_Lan. I just finished watching "The Legend of Anle" and FL's hair turned completely white over night due to heartbreak and stress. I was just surprised lol
I'm such a big mess right now. 😭😭 So much crying. Firstly, her parents! Such a bittersweet moment. 🥺 This snow scene was exactly how I imagined it to be and it hit me in the feels once again. That rushed feeling when he took her hand and ran with the background music had my heart racing mad crazy. Ding Yuxi did not let any tears go to waste. This lifetime was the longest in the novel and it felt sort of draggy in the drama but now that it's ended, I'm reminded why it's my favorite arc. Chu Kong hates romantic love the most and even though their love in this lifetime isn't "real", the experience so much so is. They both now understand the pains and emotions of love. LCK and SXY may not exist anymore but the experience was impactful. Like any human, until you've experienced something, you won't understand it. Which is why it's easy for everyone to tell Xiangyun it's just a tribulation but it's simply not. Chu Kong didn't have his memories making it feel more real to him because LCK's feelings were genuine. So even if there are changes, I loved that they kept this part. It's setting the tone for the rest of the lifetimes to come.
Sorry for the long post but I just had to share because I was blinded by the side characters and almost forgot why I loved the CP in the first place. lol
