Haha. Not at Lu Chang Kong looking cool and calm as the general in court but happily running into Song Mansion like a kid to find Xiangyun. This LCK is so whipped for Xiangyun. 😆 He really wrote to her every 3 days while away. And every plan she has to "ruin" the marriage always backfires. I love the humor. 😅
But I just remembered. Both their mortal dads are our immortal Dads in TTEOTM. Hope they have a good turnout this time around.

There are pros and cons about reading the novels as Youtoon says, if they diverge far from the story and it flops, it will be disappointing. But sometimes, the changes are better than the original story. Hope you enjoy the last immortal! 😄

I don't normally read the novels but I decided to read this for Ding Yuxi. I was too excited hearing him being in a Xianxia. Personally, reading a novel hypes me up or gives me insight on what I should expect. I know that dramas are usually adaptations which means there will be changes so I still keep my expectations low. Granted, some changes are disappointing, but even if I know what's coming, I like to see how it comes to life. The way the show depicts it can be very different from what I imagine it to be and can sometimes even be better. To each their own of course. As for this one, I actually like certain changes. It still keeps the light hearted vibe.
I'm about to catch up from ep.2 onwards but I'm happy to know there are many novel readers here too. The changes are different but so far, I do think it's nice the way they're taking it but I'll see after I finish the rest of the episodes. lol.
But I was looking at the schedule and there's a snowflake on Episode 11/12. If that part is still kept true, then I'm assuming lifetime 2 will end by then? Excited to see all the details from that lifetime flesh out.
Gosh... Seriously what was written in the synopsis would have been a better execution of how their tribulations…
Yes! This is probably why a lot of us cherish the novel. The set up was good and helped each life time make sense with how things came about for both of them and why they acted the way they did in each life.
To clarify for those asking: The synopsis above is from the novel. ML is no longer a star but changed to the Ancient War of God. FL seems to have been changed a little bit by already working in the marriage pavilion instead of being found by yue Lao to work in the pavilion.
I hate to compare it to the novel, but personally, I prefer the novel a lot more. Maybe it's bc it's one of my…
Yupp. I was just thinking about FL's character. The book her was more feisty. But the way they're doing this story line seems legit and makes sense. I just prefer if they were on the same level of standing like in the novel. A cloud and a fairy. But this Ancient God of War is a new concept I don't mind. It'll be fun to see how they go down this route.
I read the novel and the changes seem pretty good so far. - Chu Kong is the God of War instead of just being a…
Yeah. With the the way they're going with the story, this animal arc does make sense. Its just in the novel, the animal arc had some significance because they discovered some stuff about the bad guy in the novel from it before there lives quickly ended. But since its changed, it's ok. I was surprised to still see them in cute animated form. I was wondering how they'd do it. Lol.
Watched the first 2 episodes, and so far most of is really good. There are definitely changes from the book. A…
I liked her feisty care free behavior in the book so I don't know how I feel about her vibe here yet but hopefully as the episodes progress, it'll be just as good.
