I assume this lifetime they are living now will be their longest lifetime they will show in the drama? Mainly…
The next lifetime might be just as long or close to it. The 1st 2 life times in novel, were more in-depth but straightforward. The way I see it, they're still using most of the main ideas of the novel but writing the scenarios in a different way. It's still getting the same end results, well hopefully. And for me, I'm actually starting to like some (not all) of the changes.
Ok. I'm sobbing. Papa Lu and Papa Song's relationship was so genuine and pure. πI loved that they kept their relationship on a positive note as good brothers/friends. That scene of them drinking got me good. The silent tears of sadness while drunk laughing in each other's company had me tearing up. Not to mention, during the whole investigation process, Papa Song's eyes were bloodshot red. All thanks to the 3rd prince we got such an emotional episode.
Everything went by fast but I just knew Papa Lu set LCK up to protect him. Oh but our boy did so well when he showed up to the mess. My goodness Xiao Ding it's too early for you to get me in the feels! ππ I'm still hesitant with YCY but the scenes with her father were well done. I still feel there's a disconnect with the character but it's improving!
1 thing I do wonder about is this tribulation with Prince Xiuming. When they all go back to heaven, I wonder if Chu Kong and XY will feel any type of suspicions/bias towards him?
I seriously need that clay pig/tiger figurine!! It's so stinking cute like they were in the animal arc. β€οΈ
DYX stays not disappointing. At the end of Ep.7 when XY walks away after the confrontation the way he held back his emotions with that background music, my goodness.
I lost my patient, someone pls spoiler who they will be in other life ( just spoiler me about who they are in…
In the book order they are 1. The Lu Chang Kong and xiangyun we see now 2. It's a shifu/disciple type relationship 3. The animals 4. They swap genders 5-7 they don't reincarnate but instead go back to mortal world as their immortal forms to discover about this stone thing they found during the other lives.
Going to watch the latest 2 episodes tonight but with what all of you said about the end of 8, then I guess the snowflake on the calendar is most likely episode 11. π’ So much angst coming so soon. Gotta prepare for that moment.
SAME I left it after the 4th life cuz i dosen't wanted to spoil myself much
Oh but going back to find the stone origin was the angsty part of the story and made it quite touching. If you ever get the chance, you should read after the drama ends.
For fellow novel readers - anyone else slightly disappointed that they changed up the reason why they're going…
Yes! I enjoyed that the most. That's what made it exciting to see the growth of the leads. And made me fall in love with Chu kong. But with the way they're doing the story line here, it makes sense but just lots of added things that cater more towards drama style of telling. It's still good but the set up is taking time to get used to.
Finished all 6 episodes. Not a bad start but I feel there's a lot going on with all these added extra characters. I mean how many people were going to jump in that pond turned ocean once underneath? It was unexpectedly funny lol.
Although things are changed, I like that they're still keeping Lu Chang Kong just as sweet towards Xiangyun. That turning lantern thingy was so cute. He's such a sensible sweetheart. I don't know if there will be a reference or reasoning behind this later, but I love the color palette of Chu Kong and Xiangyun. I'm living for the blue and pink pastel contrast.
