I honestly don't understand why people hate the FML so much. Like?? There's definitely worse protagonists out…
I can't speak for everyone but I think she's a victim of bad writing. Her character is inconsistent from the first half where she's this independent career women to the Mary Sue on the second half.
Her romance with the ML is the only thing connecting to his motivations and in relation the other characters motivation because they care for him so much, but it wasn't strong enough to make us root for her nor their romance, whereas all the supporting characters, who are more well-written, have to risk their lives for her. It wouldn't be too hard to understand why things would be better if she is out of the picture.
".i think,i also do the same /IF/ my mom and brother did that to me...i cant say no to them even /IF/ they hurt…
i recommend therapy to unpack why you need to see the mother's actions to be seen as good so badly🙏 unlike you I can see her intentions yet still recognise her behaviour is way out of line
many of us dont like the fact that mijo forgive kangho easily...however,i like that even more....actually mijo…
".i think,i also do the same /IF/ my mom and brother did that to me...i cant say no to them even /IF/ they hurt me"
you just proved that you came from a healthy family and good for you by the way. but stop with this 'I see no problem with the mother's actions' bullshit down our throats when you have no idea how it's like to have abusive parent(s)
you're here weekly for the same agenda, are you not tired lmao
how can you say this show is 'normalising abuse' when the mother actually admits her terrible behaviour and the…
the original title doesn't have the word "good" in it, so I doubt that is the intention they were trying to portray. While I personally never felt they were trying to redeem her character - as in she still has her son in her life, cuz her son chose to love her, it reflects on the son's character rather than her - but I do understand your point regarding the positive effect and how it can be seen that way for people who thinks abuse is a way of raising a child, although I'd argue if they see this show as an endorsement, they are already halfway there (thinking of abusing their child) to begin with
I love Kangho and mijoo's character and that is honestly what is making me stay BUT I am hating how this show…
how can you say this show is 'normalising abuse' when the mother actually admits her terrible behaviour and the show do have people tell her off. She is lucky, that her son still loves her despite her being abusive, and her son can feel this way, family relationships are complicated, it's not that black and white.
and I hate the mother, check my comment history, but `normalising abuse` is just not true
In terms of the kid situation, I know my cousin who is roughly 6/7 years old and she speaks very maturely with…
that makes sense too but they have to learn it somewhere tho, we weren't show that so it felt abit lazy, not to say that this is a big deterrent to my enjoyment
She is bad also because she does not have healthy relationship with anyone. All her thoughts and decision making…
okay but why in a comment that's discussing about the mother, you bring up the son? this just felt bit victim blamey to me
I'd argue is not the same, they both have hurt people yes but he chose to go on this revenge trip because he thought that's what his mother wanted him to do when she put him in a lifepath of being a prosecutor. He thought it would make his mother happy, his intentions is bounded by his perception of his mother's intentions, maybe they could communicated but it's not like the mother has created a safe space of communication at home
Ep11 is little weak compared to the rest personally, somethings don't make sense to me like 1. Samsik in general, like I get he is dumb but I really felt he got dumber so the plot can move 2. the lettuce guys suddenly saving Samsik, I didn't know they were stalking him 3. mijoo's convo with her daughter, it felt unrealistic cuz no kid is saying things like that, the kindergarten part can still be understood but about 'putting yourself first' ? that's too deep for a kid
maybe I missed some things, and I get that this is a fast-paced drama but it felt very abrupt at places. I'd add the farm being on fire but after ep2's ending I have hope they will explain it in ep12
I liked when mijoo's mum told youngsoon off, it's about time someone said something. I do think kangho has his memories back though, can't wait for tonight's episode

that's exactly what I said? I don't agree that the drama beautified his trauma, he def has childhood trauma and the drama definitely depicted that: from the things he remembers as a 7-year-old
She's not a horrible mother. Her methods are mean but she's not a bad person and her son knows this too.
"i see" ?? ok lmao?? if you can't explain it don't make sweeping statements. you're forgetting a child never had a say in their birth, raising a child is the parents responsibility, it's literally their legal and moral duty when they made the decision to become a parent
I want to watch this but every clip I've seen of this drama is just the mother being horrible to her son and I…
personally, I don't see the drama try to make her actions justifiable, in a "what she did can be only seen as good" kind of lens no, the drama shows is her intent, and then her actions, and it's very much up to personal interpretation on whether the intent justifies the means, or actions triumphs intent. You can understand her intent and still understand her actions are wrong. The same "actions or intent" debate is also paralleled in the son, and that's why you have the debates going on in this comment section
your blood pressure will definitely be affected though
I recommend Lindsay C. Gibson's "Recovering from Emotionally Immature Parents: Practical Tools to Establish Boundaries…
while I agree with your comment and the book recommendation, the book is ultimately a healing tool for the child as their EI parent can't hold the responsibility, and the child has already inevitably has to hold it themselves. I don't think it should be applied for a fictional character, I can wish for the mother here to take some accountability esp since her child now is 7 years old emotionally
