I watched "Dugu" and enjoyed it. Hu Bing Qing was younger then but I think she put up a good performance but like you said Ady and Jeremy were sizzling together. I think that Hu Bing Qing has been so far carrying this drama. Love her acting!

Yes, not many people are watching because it's not available in the U.S. streaming world. I have to sail on the high seas to watch the drama every day!

why is the rating so low? Obviously, it's a low budget production but the story and acting are pretty good, especially FL's acting very convincing!

Why? Can you explain? Still on EP1

I'm on ep 16 and have been drawn to the 2nd ML character Lin Fang Lu and the actor, Ye Zu Xin who also plays the crown princess in "Blossom". His acting here and in "Blossom" is perfect to the characters he portrays in both drama. I still remember him, the crown princess, whose performance in the beginning of the first three minutes in the ep1 "Blossom" shake me! He mostly plays a support role but he does so marvelously! A cheer to Ye Zu Xin!

Apology from me, a side note apart from the discussion of this drama
I watched "Serenade of Peaceful Joy" then I got stuck and couldn't move on to finish because I read the novel and learned Emperor spoiled and indulged Noble Consort Zhang (played by Wang Chu Ran) in her bad behavior. I like Empress Cao played by Jiang Shu Ying and wonder Emperor ever loved her. Emperor also had an affair with Empress' adopted daughter behind her back. He also forced his daughter to marry to a man whom she despised greatly and the marriage resulted in her nerve breakdown. Maybe one day I'll finish the drama.

Just finished ep1 and it's so real and grabbed me. The cinematography self tells the story as well. Few people are talking about the drama and it's too bad!

I could have watched the final episodes on the pirate site as well when iQIYI was holding out the final few epi but I didn't and I waited. Somehow with all the imperfections of this drama, I love it and have been taking my times slowly to digest the plot been revealed.

Just a warning, between ep 20 - ep 25 or so, the plot slows down a bit but the final 6-7 episodes pick up the steam and grab your attention! Overall, it's a very entertaining, well produced drama. The visuals are outstanding.

She was also exaggerating the symptom so all the attentions would be shifting on her. At the moment, the guy was feeling guilty for having her as a mistress and trying to explain and come clean with his wife.

Unfortunately FCC is the ML and WAY is billed as 2nd ML. FCC does have a good performance in the last few episodes. Enjoy the rest of the drama!

Wang Angyu and Guan Xiao Tong appear at the same time on episode 21. I'm not going to spoil the scene for you because the director did a wonderful and magical job to bring those two characters out together as adult. I love this scene and I smile! Love, love this drama so under rated.

Yeah, I forgot to mention it was before his time in the acting world. He won the first place in the high jump on the provincial level, if I remember it correctly. He was quite an athlete and had a strong competitive attitude. Anyway, love him!

"boat (船 Chuán)" and "bed (床 Chuáng)" are two different pronunciations, similar, yes but different. Native Chinese speakers, such as these actors, won't mix these two words up!
