Netflix has been quicker to start airing recently, but always behind the actual schedules, I go into Netflix all the same to watch them, if only to boost viewership.

Damn it, youku airs only one episode today.

oh they just released ep 24, with trailers on ep.25 and 26. Yes, very confusing about airing sequence. Let's hope the express package is going to be dropped tomorrow.. I have bought access, money well spent 😉

Oh! I watch the drama in app both in phone and TV, but don't see any trailers or previews, the episodes stop at 23. Sigh...
Oh the trailers of 25 and 26 are there in the app! indeed the cloaked man sounds like the King who got stabbed by the brother, but he also suffered injury to his eyes slashed by the temiu king, so I am not sure where this is going... what a fascinating drama...

Cheng An, the south are founded on rich land and this makes the invasions, plots of decades by the "temiu" tribe legitimate?! No treaties, no peace talks, but blood sheds, total destructions of persons, families and properties in decade after decade. Barbaric, to say the least.

This,I agree, it is jumpy. It think it has to do with editing, cutting scenes here and there.I have read they have reduced the total number of episodes, this may well be the reason why. I believe the director and cast delivered an excellent piece of work, but the editing has been forced to fault.

oh the young brother who stabbed the king.

indeed, I think the screenplay didn't do justice here, after what he has seen and experienced, he should know that the "teimu" king was playing with his sentiments and that as long as the male lead is alive, and alive he remains until he sees his dead body, he should hang on, keeping his brother safe, putting trust and faith on the male lead.

I hate to see the good guys die, always consider their deaths unnecessary and only meant to draw tears.Howver I can accept the death of Gu Yu with a heavy heart, he was wearing full armour and while dying , he still attempted to save the one friend he entrusted with his motherland. I miss his character, I miss the look of his eyes, I salute the death of one well built character in this drama.

Thank you for telling us! This drama is so deserving and Cheng Yi, the whole cast are simply awesome. I don't understand why the rating in MDL is so low, so hearing how great the drama is actually doing out there and in China are really comforting, thank you.

Agree, it does look he doesn't intend to live after all is done, he keeps saying he would join his family and friends in the afterlife.I hate bad endings and usually drop watching dramas as soon as I know they are going to end badly, but this one hits me differently, there are so many nerve wrecking plots, sacrifices, so much pain, I can understand why he may loose interest to live on when all needs to be done is done. If and when this happens, this is one drama that I'll stick to the very end.

Your mom must have a very strong heart, I am in such an anxious mode in most of the time watching it :)

Why the classification of this drama in MDL is so low?? This piece of work is so deserving! I actually think it is no less than the legend of Zang Hai!

I so hate the physician who did even face swap is actually a spy for the other side, he knows so much and he will be so invaluable to the hidden king who, by the way, hid his identify playing the teacher of the ml when he was little. They know everyone and everything, how on earth can the ml kick them out turning the war to his favour?!

This may well be the most powerful period drama in the recent years, so rich in characters, complex political plots, power play, profound morale, justice and personal pains supremely delivered by the cast. I am in awe.

I can't appreciate enough the quality of this drama in every aspect, though I dread a tragic ending. I can understand it may not be an idol drama, but its "classification" in MDL should be way above 1,5k as it is now.
