I took a quick glance at he airing dates in Netflix, it looks that there will be many days when only one episode will be aired by Wetv, to slow down, to drag, the finale on March 30 with a express package. Damn, we are always at the mercy of steaming platforms regardless of our subscription fees.

I have read critics that the Director has made major contribution to the success of this drama which, I do find myself in agreement. The cast's excellent performance aside, the takes of shots, cinematography, the sequencing are clearly first class, the main leada were fortunate to have such a great director for this drama.

Guys, a little help please 🙏, I halted watching at episode 14 as I can't stand the separation, and prefer to come back to catch up when they reunite, in the army, I presume. Are we up to the episode of them getting together again or do I have to wait?

After the Prisoner of Beauty, I have been struggling to find another costume drama that can keep me just as glued to the couch as the POB did, I am glad to have found it now. I haven't read the story so I have no comparison, but the drama itself is so refreshing and honestly fast paced. The cast is great, the storyline, the directing, editing and cinematography all come together to deliver a wonderful period drama.

just started watching on Netflix, a very promising opening, quite a refreshing story casted with care, be the roles big and small. If the pacing keeps us engaged, it would probably be the most viewed series in the recent months.

am at episode 24, another ten episodes to go. Must say the script is poorly written, badly sequenced and even worse edited. If it weren't for the leads, I would have dropped it already.

A slow pacing mystery drama with little romance in the air, the viewership is totally shouldered by the main leads.

I am convinced that it is the director and the script that dictated the poor reactions between the leads, since I have seen how the leads delivered excellent performance in sentimental situations, dialogues in other dramas. What I am witnessing in this drama is a robotic interactions with one another, each to his and her own lines, few heart felt eye contacts, and a lot stoney facial expressions accompanied by recitation of dialogues as if they were holding the scripts in their hands.

Vow on Netflix as well!! One thing I want to say about the king, how many women does he want ? Leave the court ladies alone, damn it!

the two main leads carry the viewership on their shoulders, if it weren't for them, the storyline itself delivered by less popular main cast would have little success, as the pacing is slow and content less gripping.

the main leads are power couple in acting,to am enjoying this serie so much, the costumes, 📽️ are very pleasing and well made.

I find this series particularly slow paced, too dragging with little happening, unlike the first series.

is episode 28 aired already? Iqiyi in my region doesn't air this drama and Viki has only 24 episodes, saying ep.25 will be aired by end day.. can anyone tell me if all episodes are aired?

Lu Yu Xiao, the fl, is one of the most expressive actresses in the recent years, accompanied by diction and vocal so natural and befitting to the role ahe plays, she has me in her pocket as a fervent fan. Great actress!
