I wish this site wasn't so biased against J dramas. Oh well..
Oh the T-dramas you are referring to are family dramas. I don't think they produce as many of those anymore. The regular ones span between 13 to 24 episodes.
And yes, they are hard to find because most of them are fan subbed and that community is almost non-existent now .. it's sad considering that T-dramas were the gateway to many ppl watching Asian dramas back in the early 2000s. But yes, I'll be honest there is also a drop in the quality of writing for T dramas. They used to be so good back in the day.
I completely understand that majority of site users on MDL watch K dramas so they are likely to gain more coverage / votes. Thank you nonetheless for trying to include other languages, and thank you for being open to discussion :)

I'd say Taiwanese dramas are the ones that are inaccessible. Barely even 10 T-dramas a year get subbed. Even those that are subbed generally are those starring popular actors.
J dramas, on the other hand, can be easily found if ppl just look through the J drama fansubber map or scroll through the comments to find the link. Most users are pretty helpful and whenever there is a comment on where to find, someone or the other actually provides the link.
I mean not all K or C dramas are on Netflix or a particular platform. Even if they are, I doubt that most ppl here are paying for every platform out there, it's too expensive.
I'd say it's more about prejudice which many ppl have against content from Japan which makes them not want to give them a chance. And that's ok. I have no issue with that because everyone should be free to decide what they want to watch.
It's just that when I see articles like this compiling best dramas, I do wish they would have a fair distribution of not only South Korean dramas or Chinese dramas but dramas from the different regions listed on this site - Japanese, Taiwanese, Thai, Phillipines etc.
I hope you don't mind my opinion. I really do respect the fact that writing and researching for an article takes a lot of time and effort, and I hope that you will continue to do so.
A really bizarre and unpredictable, yet moving and thought-provoking drama with sincere performances by an A1 cast of Kubozuka Yosuke, Tokiwa Takako, Yamada Takiyuki, Tsumabaki Satoshi, and Yamapi. A drama clearly made with a lot of love that is still as relevant as ever. Highly recommended if you can look past the outdated effects. Trust me, this will end up moving you in ways you never thought. The title couldn't be any more apt.

It isn't just about accessibility. On each page, you'll find a comment from the fansubber or user on the link to find the drama with subs. Most J dramas these days are actually subbed. It isn't that hard. People watch a few bad J dramas and blanketly assume that all J dramas are bad or they can't act. You'll find such comments on so many J drama pages. Also J dramas are poorly rated here as compared to C or K dramas.
Anyway, I don't mean to disrespect those who wrote this article. It's just a general comment I have about MDL.
Kaho and Ren <3333333 My heart broke for both their characters in episode 6. Such beautiful acting and writing yet again in this episode. This show honestly deserves all the praise. What a painfully real and raw human drama. I finally understand why the drama is called 'Silent'. It isn't merely about Sou or people who can't hear. It is a drama about unspoken and repressed feelings which all humans have. Hats off to the whole team for this amazing gem.
An endearing and fun dorama of a found family of 12 adorable kids (many of whom are known actors today), the ever so charming Kimu Taku and lovely Koyuki. What's there not to love about this drama that teaches you to fight for your dreams. This is probably one of my favourite dramas of Kimu Taku. Time well spent :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL!
Okada Masaki doesn't disappoint!
