I saw the first episode and I loved this so much. Don't be misled by that cheesy title or poster. The backdrop of this may seem extra in the first episode, but the conversations make up for it. It is cute & fluffy, but manages to be heartfelt & serious in its conversations & commentary about gender roles & stereotypes that are constantly reinforced by society. That's quite a feat! Colour me impressed!
So you're telling me that each episode she's gonna date a different guy just so that he can write his manga?!WHAT…
I know right?! I thought it was only going to happen in the 1st episode but that ending in E2 threw me off. I quite like this. Hope they won't ruin it.
Satomi is so delicate here. There's this innocence & softness to her, which I like. Go seems like a tender man who protects himself by being mean, which is somewhat of a Kdrama stereotype, but I like how it's not in your face (don't know how to explain this).. in simple words, it's not loud. I loved their conversations in this episode, & the chemistry (esp in the lift) The background music was beautiful too <3
I am liking this. It's a pleasant, easy watch minus the YouTuber (GO AWAY!)
Episode 2 was infinitely enjoyable and better than the first episode, I feel like the director for ep1 and ep2…
I agree! The direction was better, and it felt more Jdrama-like though it still has a lot of Kdrama tropes (not that I am complaining). I loved the background music at some points, esp during the leads' conversation. I have warmed up to this drama & our leads :)
You clearly mentioned how much you hate J dramas on the Mairunovich page. So why are you here? No one is forcing you to watch. Also, think twice before you call someone ugly. Imagine if the actor sees this, it would hurt him so much. You would not like someone calling you ugly.
Curious.. what would have been an ideal ending for you? And what were you disappointed by?
You made some interesting points!!
I do think they dealt with Hidaka being a psycho in the first few episodes. The whole allergy episode that happened that was intense. I know it was somewhere in the beginning. All the blackmailing that was going on regarding the gloves & few other things (I can't remember).. I'd say she did try to give it back to him but was clearly no match for him. But yes now that you mention it, had they gone on with this, I would have loved to see how dark it would get, and how she would catch him.
DAMN THE COP ONE IS SUCH A COOL IDEA!! I would totally loved to have seen that.
You've got great ideas. Shit now I need to see that cop idea on screen. DAMN that would have been so freaking cool. Damnn I'll be honest I didn't think of more creative ways this could have been done, but you've got really really interesting ideas. Sell it to some writer!! HAHA
Yeah I get what you mean. I am a lawyer, and I am faced with the inhuman side of people all the time. Haha!
I know there are dramas that explored the effects, I can't remember the names. Let me get back to you on those.
Re: the 2 brothers. Yeah it's not anything new for sure. But I think the way the revelation happened (the whole context and all) it was very impactful for me. Completely agree on your thoughts regarding the sun/moon theory.
I'll be honest I think that watching the episode each week evokes very different feelings as to binging the whole thing (at least for me) & I waited each week for the mystery to be resolved, and to understand the sun/moon theory, so it was another level of satisfaction when it happened. Hehe.
WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT 'I AM YOU, AND YOU ARE ME' WAS A WAY OF SAYING I LOVE YOU? Takahashi Issei & Ayase…
OMG you changed your username to YAYPANDA! That's from Love Shuffle!! I watched it recently & I freaking loved it!!!!! ALSO THAT GIF FROM QUARTET AHHHH ONE OF MY FAVS!!! <3
I have been a fan of Takahashi Issei for a long time and though he’s great in this drama, it’s Ayase Haruka’s…
I felt that this was Ayase Haruka's best so far! It's the first time she really impressed me. Otherwise, she's been strictly decent or good for me in her other roles & I've seen most of her work.
Wow that really depends on how you define a happy ending (specifically in the context of this drama) HAHA Ok I won't confuse you, my answer tilts more towards a "yes" For me personally, the best way to describe the ending is 'fitting'

Interesting! I never thought of how the drama could have been done better, because I was not able to get any theory right LOL. I was quite blown by the way the writer pieced the puzzle together giving us bits & crumbs & then debunking our theories. So while this drama is not objectively perfect, it was pretty perfect for me.
I quite enjoyed the twist with Azuma being the one who was the psycho. To be honest, I did think in the beginning that Hidaka was a psycho but as we went on I found myself hoping that he wasn't (I am not sure why I wanted that lol)
I can see why you thought it was a red herring really because of all the crime that happened. But I think that's what I loved. Taking such a questionable subject matter, and twisting it into another angle? Rather than looking at it from a view of crime/punishment, action/consequences, to a view of 3 people stuck in this relationship that was ultimately a mother's love for her sons. It quite blew me away. Despite all the problematic stuff at the backdrop with what Azuma did, I found the revelation of the sun/moon theory & the swap emotionally stirring. To me that's quite a feat the writer achieved.
Ano Toki Kiss Shite Okeba too, heard it's really fun :(
Really? I remember number of subbers fangirling over the poster lol. Hopefully one of them will pick it up after the first episode airs, or after it is over.
Hmm.. I must disagree on the characters though you're free to hold your opinion :)I don't think her desire to…

I loved the 2nd episode until that ending scene which I disliked.
So you're telling me that each episode she's gonna date a different guy just so that he can write his manga?! WHAT THE HELL I DID NOT LIKE THIS DEVELOPMENT. URGH WHY. WHAT PURPOSE DOES IT SERVE? Doesn't he have his story already. Will see the next episode and see how it goes.
