Yes, you’re right about all three. I’m not that familiar with He Yu. I remember him in “My Fated Boy” (which was ok) and there was a drama about competitive shooting where he was good, but no memorable kisses. I feel like Zhang Linghe, Bai Jin Ting, Jing Boran would be my top three, with Ryan Cheng and Ryan Ding getting Honorable Mentions.
it's been awhile since i watched Hidden Love. does anyone remember if Sang Yan's ex was mentioned during Hidden…
Yes, after Sang Yan came to Yihe University to check out Sang Zhi’s boyfriend and subsequently kicked Duan Jiaxu’s behind (remember the punches that got thrown), a few days later (in the next episode after the fight), he told them he had to get back home “because there’s a woman pursuing me at home.” He might’ve even said “She’s all over me.” (We now know she literally was all over him kissing and hugging him and whatnot while sleepwalking.) Neither believed Sang Yan and told him, “You don’t have a girlfriend.” Little did they know, Sang Yan was referring to YiFan.
We do!!!!!! It took a while for me to love it, but progressively the good acting, the story, the whole vibe of the drama, the lighting, the direction—all just drew me in gently. Ep 10 was the clincher for me.
Yi fan was such a baby when Sang Yan told her that she kissed him. She is such a cutie . She was so stressed out…
Agree. He was teasing, but discerned this was no laughing matter after doing the research saying sleepwalking is borne from trauma. I felt his remorse in that moment because BJT’s acting was so spot on. He’s emotionally-intelligent and is starting to put the pieces together about Yifan’s condition. He knew he’d messed up with that naughty little lie.
True. For me, it was the slo-mo and his penetrating stare and his massive frame next to her tiny one and all the tension—just all of it, very well done. The actors, the Director, and editing crew knocked it out of the park with that one.
“The Witch” - Korean, just started, very good, has arthouse, emo, cerebral, slow-burn vibe
“Study Group”—Korean, exciting, funny, underdogs win, very good
“Les Belles”—Chinese, cute, fluffy, silly, historical drama, kinda funny, but I put it on hold, excellent visuals though
“My Dearest Nemesis”—Korean, cute, funny, people love it, but it’s just ok to me, just two episodes in though
He knew he’d messed up with that naughty little lie.
