It is definitely happy. It is full of happy, healing , calming vibes. So, actually, it is more like My Little Happiness than I thought. It has its own unique style though.
No, not at all. Totally different vibes. This has a Springtime, earthy, romantic vibe, with flowers everywhere and Chinese herbs, TCM jargon & techniques, and a picturesque, lush resort all adding to the charm of the setting. The ardent pursuits by both MLs are similar perhaps, but Zhang Ling He has his own special rizz. If I’m being honest though, the kissing in “My Little Happiness” was hotter, steamier. “The Best Thing” has more of a sweet vibe, rather than steamy vibe. But, the drama isn’t over and they just started dating; so, I might have to eat my words on that point.
Honestly, I didn’t enjoy Princess Royal, but I watched every episode, nonetheless, as it thoroughly held my attention more so than this. It was far more compelling a drama than Si Jin. Very memorable, outstanding FL performance.
However, Si Jin is a more pleasant drama (more humor and interesting side characters, some pretty vile ones too though). Even still, I find myself getting distracted and falling asleep while watching. Can’t put my finger on why. I only have a basic idea of what’s going on at episode 14.
They are first cousins, right? Doesn’t she know this?
Yes, I’m aware, but still had to ask. Actually, when it’s the maternal cousin, they don’t consider it incest, which is insane. But, they considered marriage to a paternal cousin with the same family name as unacceptable.
I hope after all the positive comments for ZLH as we so seldom see him (or I haven't) in modern contemporary roles…
Did you see him in Story of Kunning Palace? That was, by far, his most handsome look in a drama, in my opinion. That long hair, half-up/half-down ‘do really suited him. Those brows and that chiseled jawline. OMGGGGG. Nothing feminine-looking at all. Definitely his most handsome and masculine aura.
He’s handsome in this modern drama too, but I wish his hair was a bit more styled. And, he could stand to put on a bit of weight. But, his face card is absolutely impeccable 💯. I used to think that no one could ever match Song Wei Long’s handsomeness, but I think Zhang LingHe might be the one.

Yu Qi’s antics are cute, but when did he first get a crush on her? I feel I missed the development of the feelings.
I have trouble staying focused during this drama.
