It was in extremely poor taste. Korean writers often have zero emotional intelligence when it comes to foreigners, especially Black people—what to say, what not to say. And they as a people get offended when you try to correct their thinking. Perfect example—Sam Okyere. Certainly, some individuals are open-minded. But collectively as a culture, there doesn’t seem to be a high opinion of black people.

They are former high school friends who fell out with each other, but happen to find themselves renting the same apartment 8 years later. He owns a bar, she’s a reporter. They both are dealing with emotional trauma over their broken relationship and are finding their way back to each other. It’s a warm, healing drama, very well done with excellent chemistry.
