No. Pure coincidence, from what I can see. He moved there to learn more about the company. He has big plans for the companyās growth. He is happy about crossing paths with her though even though heās holding a grudge against her and being mean because she āforgotā him.
I feel like itās a tad different. Usually we see rich guy/poor girl or vice versa fighting with overbearing parents keeping them apart. Or, we see two rich kids forced into loveless arranged marriage by the family elders. Here weāve got two social equals who are naturally growing in attraction to each other. Itās a Prince and Princess story, a bit different from the stereotypical Cinderella motif.

I wasnāt rooting for ML when he was taking revenge on FL. Definitely unprofessional on his part. I donāt feel he belittled NXG quite as harshly as the SML though. He criticized/sneered at her āforgettingā him. Beyond that, he didnāt seek to undermine her sense of self-esteem like the ML. Um, well, he did say she was cosplaying as a commoner. That was kinda rude, but funny tooš¤. As social equals though, I feel like LYS can get away with a joke like that with NXG. Anywho, I feel a difference in the vibes of both men.

He puts her down, accused her of being lazy, wanting to take a cushy job that her family got her instead of working hard to get a job on her own. These are cheap shots borne out of his insecurity because heās poor. He probably has delusions that heās saying this for her own good to make her a better person. (Sheās already a good person. She doesnāt need his help with that. Sheās very sweet and down-to-earth. But, he wonāt acknowledge that.) In reality, heās just being deliberately hurtful. He regrets pushing her away which he admitted to himself he purposely did. He purposely hurt her in order to keep distance between themāagain , all because he feels he isnāt her social/financial equal. He let Rong and the others bully her time and time again. Heās too quick and ready to believe the worst of her and spouts harsh words to her.
Enjoyable watch, but Iām not really seeing the simmering, slowburn chemistry that I should. The acting isnāt convincing me. Their banter is more buddies energy than hot simmering slowburn. Of course, his character has to play it cool because of their jobs and he doesnāt want to scare her. But, even with all the not-so-subtle clues that heās putting out there that heās into her, it just doesnāt give me butterflies. Thatās just me though. Maybe yāall are getting all the feels and butterflies. Still, a pleasant drama. I have no plans to drop at all.

Heās probably wondering why NXG never checked on him after his accident enroute to her gathering, nor remembers anything about him especially when she supposedly invited him in first place. Of course, we assume that itās a case of mistaken identity. It wasnāt NXG at all who invited LYS to the party. The exact details of how the misunderstanding happened havenāt been revealed yet as of ep 10.
I feel like his family is richer. Heās definitely 3rd Generation rich. But, she is 2nd Generation rich. Then, again, she might be 3rd Generation rich on her motherās side. They are well-matched in social/financial status. And, heās into her big time. I love it.
