Is Esther Yu this bad of an actress normally? not just her but I watched the first 2 episodes with some friends…
She’s not a bad actress. She does cute “aegyo” a lot which causes many not to take her seriously, but she actually emotes very well during tense and angsty scenes.

4 years.jiang mu was 19 and jin zhao 23.
The child Jin Zhao playing/feeding baby Mu Mu in the crib looked older than 4. That child looked about 7 or 8.

Title Sniper Butterfly Spoiler
Maybe not your cup of tea but it’s definitely not a boring drama. It’s a beautiful one and I didn’t find…
I definitely think it was selfish that she kept Li Wu living in her home even after her Dad offered to take him in. It would have been more appropriate for Li Wu to stay with her parents. Ostensibly, Cen Jin kept him because she didn’t want to anger her temperamental mother. But, in reality, I just think she was a lonely, emotional mess after her bad failed marriage. She needed a care project. I think that’s what Lu Wu was for her, at least, at first. I’m not really sure when her feelings changed. But, there was a moment when he was in high school and they texted back and forth ( when he sent her a pic of himself in his uniform)—during those moments, they definitely had dating-coupe vibes texting and giggling at each other’s texts. I think she started having romantic feelings then, she just was in denial.

They should have asked Michelle Chen (Cen Jin) to read that part - no cost to that. She speaks English. 😂😂😂
They should have had Daniel himself says the lines because he’s American. He could’ve disguised his voice. That’s why his English sounds so good 😄.

Yeah it was sweet and charming. My first He Yu drama and I liked it. He was very devoted to her and already had…
I don’t remember, but the pacing of the story was good. There might’ve been a 10-yr difference.

It took her a while. She was resistant at first even though her attraction was strong and obvious. She was embarrassed to be attracted to someone she had only ever seen as a kid.

All I know is that HY does not need any pointers on kissing that man has it down on lock I don’t know whether…
They were childhood playmates and he adored her his whole life, but she only saw him as her “kid brother” neighbor friend. Their families were close friends and lived next to each other. They both grew up and lived separate lives. He went abroad to study, but eventually he moved back home and started to pursue her seriously. Her mind was blown. It was a charming drama.

She acts very well, but definitely can’t kiss worth anything.

My dear c-drama besties … Just wanna ask how do you handle and face real life after watching these dramas 🥲
With difficulty. I can’t get anything done because of these silly-ass dramas. Yet, I stay watching them 🤪🤦🏾‍♀️😅

Park Shin Hye did good in Doctor Slump.
I agree. Her kissing improved 100% in that drama. I still don’t think she’s cut out for romcoms though.

I think it's part of her character, there were certain scenes that pointed at it. Like during their first kiss…
I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume, like you said, it’s because of the innocence of the character. We’ll see if she’s still doing this by the end of the drama when the character has matured, that is, if I don’t drop this drama first.

Who kisses worse Esther Yu or Park shin Hye? I can't decide. They are both like walls while male leads are struggling.…
OMGGGGG 😆😑😅 I was thinking the same thing. Esther creates smoldering chemistry with her Male Leads, but she doesn’t deliver with hot kisses, like say, Bai Lu or Zhao Lusi. This is a 13+ production, so I guess that’s why she kisses like that. Or, perhaps that’s just her style because she kissed like that in everything else she was in—Moonlight, My Journey to You, Love Between Fairy and Devil.

I’m totally thinking about dropping this drama because it’s a huge sexy tease that doesn’t fully deliver. The ML is fantastic though.

for those who already finished: which one was your favorite kiss scene? there were so many, but mine is the one…
I haven’t finished yet, but the drunk kiss on the sofa in episode 5 was like DAMNNN. Also, the car kiss in Ep 20.
