I watched this being familiar with the manga and anime but hardly a die hard fan so the story changes didn't bother me. The basic story-line stayed the same in the movie- humans trapped inside walls, titans attack, humans try and fight back- but deviated and shrank the story down to basically action scenes. Other than a brief intro period the movie consists of fighting, dying and gore. That to me is the movie's weakness. The emphasis on action combined with a shorter running time really hurt character development. Without building the connection between Eren, Armin, and Mikasa, there was little to root for and left me feeling disconnected from them because the plot didn't build the personal relationship well.
No complaints about the acting really. All the actors did well at portraying fear and desperation throughout the movie. My shallow side also appreciated how good both Miura Haruma and the Levi stand in Hasegawa Hiroki looked in the film.
The background music drove me crazy! It was to loud in quiet scenes and never seemed to fit with the action on screen. Very distracting overall and detracted from my enjoyment of the movie. This might be partially because of the source but still very annoying.
I might rewatch in the future but only because the source I used was very grainy so I wouldn't mind a better quality source. If you are looking for a faithful adaptation of Attack on Titan don't bother. If you want to see a fast paced kind of gory action movie this might be for you.

As with all remakes you're going to compare to the ones you've seen before. I really enjoyed the first half of the series. The episodes where funny and nicely paced. Even though I knew what was coming, there was enough variation in the placement and acting to keep me interested. Where I felt this one lagged behing my favorite,ISWAK, was the second half. Naoki's actions seemed a bit unrealistic given how the show had portrayed him up through episode 13. While I understand why Naoki's logical, robot mind made him act the way he did, there was no real explanation in the show for his abrupt decisions so it felt a little out of place. Despite the minor things that bothered me I enjoyed the story overall and was happy with the ending.

This is the first version of this story I've seen, so I went in without any preconceived ideas about how it was supposed to be. I enjoyed this drama very much. The story was fast paced and didn't drag like many Taiwanese dramas. The way the story progressed seemed natural without to many logic fails. I thought the acting was very good. At first the Jeremy character seemed like overacting, but then I figured out that he was supposed to act that hyper. I'm already a Jiro Wang fan, and I thought he did an excellent job portraying Huang Tai Qing's emotional changes throughout the drama. Su Li Wen seemed a little stiff and unsure at first but improved quickly and I really liked her character by the end of the drama. The music was good and fit the scenes even if I didn't understand the lyrics. I would definitely watch this again. Overall I liked the comedy, thought the romance was well portrayed and believable, and the cast blended well together.

I've seen both the Japanese version and the Korean version of Hana Kimi with the J -version coming first. To the Beautiful You tones down the slapstick a lot from the J version. TtBY focuses on the romantic
story between Tae Joon and Jae Hee more which I actually enjoyed. Overall I thought this was a very cute drama. The acting by the main leads was nothing special, but the sweetness of their relationship and how it developed made up for it. I would definitely recommend this drama for someone wanting a simple first love drama that is heavy on the cute and light on the angst. It's not a demanding watch and made me smile throughout.
