I think it just might because I've seen snippets of them acting cold toward each other when he has a moustache on TikTok. I also figured, after the first time leap, that Tingyun would feel guilty about encouraging ZL to improve his standing at some point because it is changing him (for better and worse). I just hope they clear up the misunderstandings faster this time and don't let it drag on until the finale.

I want to see them mature and have the same power dynamic as the older Yu couple and have the last few episodes be a more evenly matched showdown between the two couples. *wishful thinking*

this. i agree that fty can be reckless and does what she thinks is right without weighing the consequences of her actions. however, it's not like zl has been discussing what goes on in court with her. they still have a long way to go before they have the kind of mutual understanding that minister yu and madame yu have. like i'll never forget when minister yu told his son to go and ask for his mother's opinion about the ganlin assignment and the couple were perfectly in sync without even talking about it. fty wants to help zl. she just doesn't always know what would actually help him.

I'm currently watching Are You the One while waiting for episodes :)) I picked it because the two are different enough that I wouldn't start confusing the storylines. lol.

I've seen plenty of court intrigue in historical dramas, but I don't think I've ever come across a minister like Grand Secretary Tian. I can't believe Lady Wei is his daughter. 😹

i like how Yu Jing Xiu's unraveling has brought the mother and daughter-in-law closer—for better or worse. whether they like each other or not, at least they can both agree they can't rely on Yu Jing Xiu. lol.

i don't mind that they're not married. i just want them to start communicating more openly. zl keeps going into monologue saying he wants to be the one tingyun can rely on, but he barely tells her anything. then tingyun goes and does her own thing (even if it's the opposite of what zl wants) thinking she's being helpful. i know it's an ongoing process—i'm just impatient and frustrated. lol.

ganna say it again—i really love madam yu as an antagonist. most villainous mothers would look past their sons' philandering and even make excuses for them. madam yu may not like or think highly of yake, but she stood up for yake as a woman and mother.

i actually wish she saw the paintings. she is in dire need of a reality check.

yake is so delusional. she keeps projecting her insecurities and obvious flaws onto tingyun. get a grip girlie.

lady wu knows which couple would treat her "better". lol. but yeah, after that five year separation, i don't need another obstacle between our mains. meanwhile, jingxiu and yake do not deserve a moment's of peace.
