finally, a "palace drama" that i can easily binge-watch. i just love that it has some snarky, conniving female characters, but they don't pit them against each other.
when i reached the part where they were making a wish at the pagoda (the very last scene in the outro) only halfway through the episode, i became very sad. lol. also—i swear, every time i watch song zu er cry in a drama, i end up crying as well.
this was such a beautiful story. i don't know if i'm going to be able to fall sleep tonight. if i do though, i will be dreaming of a different ending.
i'm so curious about xuanye's dad's friend. chi xue felt like the elder hated demons even though he claimed to have married one. he's also waiting for the gate to the carefree land to open.
Before the express 6 episodes drop in 1 hour time, I just want to point out another details on what makes the…
i was just about to ask if anyone could explain the feather landing on the for hire sign and which "cause" it severed. i didn't quite catch which shop was hiring or notice it was xuanye's dad who put up the sign. then your comment is the first thing that pops up. lol.
"master's wife" is my favourite line :)) their cuteness gave me anxiety tho because i knew the writers would serve the bitter truth after we've had our tiniest fill of sweetness. lol.
This drama is winning for the aspects that keep viewers engaged and entertained. The characters. The interesting…
banxia is such a well-written female character, and song zu er really brought her to life. everyone—from the leads to the sidekicks, the characters in the arcs, and even li xian—is so memorable.
i like their chemistry, but i agree with others who said this could've been a lot shorter. i skimmed through most of the show and only watched full episodes from ep 20—at 1.5x speed. lol. the friend group and nosy mums made it fun and worth completing.
i already love this show, but i love it even more for having likable side characters rather than mere tropes to add drama. sima ling and li xian were fun to watch.
banxia is so different now from episode one, and i've thoroughly enjoyed watching her change throughout the show. her personality now is the kind of character i'm used to seeing song zu er play. it was hilarious how she went from saying she would hold out for two days to running to xuanye within seconds.
it's just sad how the two men closest to her (her father and xuanye) act "in her behalf" without even considering her feelings or asking for her opinions first.
i was mentally prepared for the fl's weird confession because i saw all the comments before starting this, but i honestly thought she couldn't do any worse or stoop any lower. well, spoiler alert: she does 😹 she's SO unreasonable, childish, and always plays the victim. a true tyrant.
Try Mysterious Lotus Casebook! It’s usually a bit less spooky and more humorous but also has mysterious cases…
i like mysterious lotus casebook! :) i started my journey to you while it was airing because i love the leads... but the double spy thing stressed me out. i haven't finished it. lol.
this reunion inn thing is sooooooo creepy!!!! i really like this type of fantasy/mystery drama and wanna watch more shows similar to it. the only one i've seen with somewhat similar cases is love game.
