Any recommendations, similar to this drama
I think you might like "a little love never hurts", it also stars han go-eun but the premise is a little similar to family register that it focuses on a blended family eventually coming together and romance around older leads (don't be fooled by the poster lol)

Title A Trap Called Desire Spoiler
Not sure how I'm feeling about Joo Sae-Byuk's acting here. Might need to do that rewatch of Game of Witches to…
So Jang Seohee is the FL, Jeon Hyewon would be considered the 2FL and Joo Saebyuk is the 3rd FL? I gotta check kocowa to see if they added the teasers with subs

Between this drama and pearl in red I wonder if this is the new "trend" for KBS2. I also hope this drama is not as obnoxious as PIR ... with all the breaks this drama is scheduled to have this drama is going to need a good writer to hold interest

Honestly, I'm surprised that Lee Dohyun (Secrets & Lies, Game of Witches, a Graceful Liar etc) didn't write this drama lol this feels like something she would come up with

Lol see why I hated him?!
Yes 😭 but ngl I low-key like Bada and Sandeul's evil power couple chemistry lol I just can't believe he acted like Seoyeon cheated like Seoyeon literally married Taepoong for revenge BECAUSE sandeul "died". Like was she never supposed to move on at all? 😭

And now I'm a Taepoong shooter lmao I never saw this coming

Title Family Register Spoiler
oh yikes it's happening next episode - Jini witnesses Oreum going into a Code Blue and feels guilty enough to go through with the bone transplant. I agreed with JeongAh's advice to Jini (lmao at her calling Jini Judas); the flashback of Mai talking shit made my blood boil. If I were Jini, I wouldn't do it... but Jini is going to stay anon because she think's that's the honorable thing to do. What a crock of... personally, if I was Jini, I would let it be known and metaphorically keep my foot on Mai's neck the entire time.

But this is a daily so Jini will save Oreum, no one will know, and Mai and Seunghyun will continue to be jerks until....?????

On a lighter note it seems that Sabin is going to be quite the prodigy by the time the drama is over - vocal lessons and now he's showing interest in Seri's cello

In today’s episode, Mai said why didn’t you drag her here…. WTH
right?! or how about when she was saying she would pay Jini, like offering large sums of money in exchange for organ donations isn't completely illegal in SK. (and like the money would erase how nasty Mai was to Jini?) it's giving spoiled brat!

Title Family Register Spoiler
Someone tell Mai that paying someone else for an organ donation is literally illegal. Or not and get her locked away for the rest of the drama. Mai's desperation to save her son is turning into entitlement. Asking for people to be tested (and not telling, which is what Mai seems to want to do) is as far as it should go; no is a complete sentence. Of course, if you are trying to beg someone who you tried to make homeless, you should get bent. I am on Team Seri here. Jini doesn't owe them shit. It's funny how suddenly their shared blood is no longer an issue. The only person I feel bad for is Oreum.

Jihu's mom... I don't like her and I can see why she and Dohee get along so well. I didn't comment on it yesterday (or was it Monday) but telling your son's gf to ruin your husband's publishing company is nasty work. Not for moral reasons mind you but because in Jihu's mother's mind, it's not a good enough venture. In other words, this is turning into Keeping Up with the Dos, since she seems to have an inferiority complex regarding Dohee's assemblyman dad... who may or may not die from his illness.

Dohee's aegyo annoys me and that says a lot considering how my SNSD bias was Sunny lmao, but Dohee's really does pack a punch and not in a good way. I can't wait for Jihu to break up with her.

Tomrrow's preview it seems like Seungwoo is getting some action as he is going to take Jini to get tested (honestly, Jini did not look willing in that preview). He also tells Jeongwon (who I forgot had a kid lmao) he is willing to get with her if she divorces. OH, SEUNGWOO.... for his sake let's hope she is bluffing lol.

Once again I wonder about the pacing of the drama because if Oreum is truly turning for the worst, the transplant would have to be done sooner vs later. Unless this turns into Fatal Promise where Mai uses her money to pull (illegal) strings (and Jini later gets revenge on her l m f a o), the writer is planning to drag this out? Let's hope not.

Why do the episodes feel so short?! 😭It has been a while since we got a good daily drama, the ones airing rn…
This drama is definitely better than I thought it would be! I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do lol.

But to answer your question, MBC did start shortening the episodes for their daily dramas to save money. Episodes for older MBC dailies and the ones on KBS tend to be around 30-36 minutes long while MBC cut theirs down to around 28 minutes.

For one of those "chaebol secretary" roles she wasn't that bad .. idk how far you got in GoW she was actually quite involved in the storyline (while the male chaebol secretary was loyal to Yukyung, Joo Saebyuk's character was trying to play both sides, "I serve whoever wins"😭)

Imo the best part of her acting came towards the end of the drama when Jiho turned against her. Don't want to spoil too much lol. But at the same time a chaebol heiress 3FL (?) role asks for way more than a secretary role , so I'm interested to see how she does.

I'm hoping the writer doesn't fumble the ball down the line as well lol. I haven't seen any of the dramas they wrote... although this writer often times is used to replace original writers after they get fired midway through the drama. Their most recent drama was a KBS1 Daily - Unpredictable Family.

I understand Mai's desperation but you don't just volunteer someone* for donating bone marrow 😭 seems like things are getting exciting tomorrow

*It's actually wild that Mai volunteered Jini when a few episodes ago Mai was badmouthing Jini and trying to take her house...

Sandeul teaming up with Bada to steal Le Blanc? He could've stayed dead for this... and I think he is being unreasonable and toxic af to expect Seoyeon not to move on after his "death"!! Man this is getting good

And after saying that to him she immediately went to bully Jini some more! I hope that was captured on CCTV or…
If they ever bring up the CCTV it'll turn out that either Dohee assaulted Jini in a blind spot or the CCTV will have happened to be under maintenance 😂

OH OH OH Sabin calling Youngju out and standing up for Seungwoo was nice to see (and I wasn't expecting it tbh!).…
I went back and rewatched it and I think you're referring to episode 6, when jihu is confronting Dohee about her social media behavior, he says something along the lines of "when we first got together I asked you to only focus on me... because I've been hurt in the past"

I feel like Dohee sought him out for status related reasons, I wouldn't be surprised if Dohee's mom somehow engineered the relationship lol

This opens with an... odd premise, in spite of the title. FL (cheongah) is in a suicide pact with a stranger... She is a victim of school violence and the stranger (who seems to be the younger son of a chaebol family) is into cannibalism? HELLO?

Add to the fact that the comedy intermixed with the scenes of the teens planning this out/living their last day gives me SERIOUS mood whiplash I'm not sure if I'll even continue. I like seolah but I already hate her mother in law and she didn't even get married yet lmao.

a commenter who actually finished the drama says it's not glorifying suicide "like some western shows" but from what I see it's trivializing suicide for shock value (cheongah's mom's cover up...) which is just as bad imo. This show's early episodes tanked in viewership ratings because viewers weren't feeling it and quite frankly, neither am I.

While I appreciate the 2009 nostalgia (gee and single ladies in the gym scenes lol) the drama lost me when the dad started farting on his youngest daughter. Apparently that's a running gag... was this drama written by a 12 year old? I'm good.

Jini slapping Dohee to the floor just added 10 years to my life
OH OH OH Sabin calling Youngju out and standing up for Seungwoo was nice to see (and I wasn't expecting it tbh!). "Please show some love to your second son as well" I love that he saw through Youngju's excuses of Seungwoo being a "troublemaker" son and got direct with her. So far, I think the only bad thing about his character is that he likes ciliantro lmao

Besides that we have Seri stepping into her boss era and taking over Minki's company, Oreum's cancer has officially been dx'd. There's been no talk about a transplant yet. Also... Oreum seems younger than the usual token "daily drama child"... Mai mentioned signing him up for kindergarten so I guess he is like 4 years old. Poor Oreum.

I like the idea of the male cafe friend and Jini teaming up to write a children's books. It's a nice break from FLs who want to be fashion designers, which I feel like is the most common "occupation" in a daily lol... makeup being second. The focus on k-animation feels fresh as well. Personally I've only ever watched one Korean animation a looong time ago which was magical girl themed lmao... I feel like people associate animation with Japan (anime) ; animation doesn't tend to fall under the "Hallyu wave" umbrella. That being said, watch enough anime (and I'm not even a big anime watcher by any means) and you'll notice a lot of the animators in the credits have Korean names. Interesting...

Dohee and Jihu, don't feel like a couple at all btw, I do recall Jihu's bio saying he has "emotional scars" from his parents and I wonder how much that factors into him staying with someone who he clearly doesn't like. Iirc, Jihu's dad was a naval captain who was away for months at a time and his mom is status obsessed and overly emotional (it's honestly giving Nate Archibald from the gossip girl novels lmao)

Now a character that I REALLY want to meet is Dohee's mother, who by all accounts, is a nasty piece of work. Hopefully she appears next week... I have a feeling that she is going to end up becoming the "final boss" of the drama lol.
