Okay I was not expecting Eunguk to snap like THAT. Unfortunately he messed up by taking his helmet off but I'm sure that will come back to bite him in the ass. The irony that Eunguk iced Eunseol out because she "committed" a crime but he goes and assaults someone?! HELLO! I wish he would've listened to Hyunjae because he may have just made things difficult for Eunseol. I hope the dad continues to slowly start speaking up against Grandma. However, as for grandma I rolled my eyes so hard at her whining for the money 😭 I feel like she plays the same type of character in every drama I see her in and I hate it lmao

Hyunjae is growing on me in the sense that I enjoy him as Eunseol's wingman lmao. I think I favor Eunseol's relationship with Hyunjae ... But that might be because Seokjin and Eunseol's was giving teen drama. But anyway... I like Hyunjae's sister. Side note I don't like Teunteun's hair style, I want to brush out his part so badly lol but anyway

You know after the flashback where Miran (and Heejung) was watching Jungsun in the hospital I have a theory that Jungsun "stole" Father Cheongma (still don't know his name lmao) from Miran ... Makjng Eunseol and Haera half sisters. Of course, the jury's still out on who Haera's dad REALLY is but Miran in the preview of episode 16 makes a strong case for this ...

They did the same with A Graceful Liar and looking back on it I guess it's a way to keep the comedy scenes to a minimum. Because a Graceful Liar didnt have the traditional "gag" scenes that make up a daily drama, you know the kind that take you out the show because the main plot is so serious

But with A Graceful Liar the good thing is the flashbacks eventually stopped when more characters were introduced and the story actually started. So I'm hoping for the same here...

As long as the pds don't start pulling a One Piece and the episodes start becoming only 10 minutes of new content 🤣

Yes that took me by surprise too. On one hand I'm happy that the flashbacks/exposition is not being dragged out but on the flip side I agree with you. Especially seeing the wack subplots that were used to fill the "dead space" in The First Man (a masterclass in how to ruin a daily drama tbh)

However I can't help but to think of yellow boots/ice adonis. Part of the reason why yeonhwa's revenge felt so satisfying was because she was in jail for a bit even tried to break out just to get dragged back in and realize she had to do prison "the right way" to get the chance to seek revenge

I've seen an (Korean) article that said that Jang Seohee hopes to win a drama award for this drama as she already has ones from SBS and MBC but not KBS(2), I feel like she picked this drama because the quality was there. And so far, she is on track to win that award, JSH is fabulous as a villain lol she fits Miran's role like a glove

Miran macing Heejung 😭 first time I've seen that in a daily LMFAO ??? I gotta say that Miran switching the babies was a nice twist. I'm so curious about Miran's comment to Heejung in the hospital the one about Jungshim (the one about her life being stolen). Seems like Miran and Jungshim have a shared history as well...

Anyway I'm all caught up. We have another design thief on our hands with Haera (par the course when the ~token chaebol company~ is a fashion one) however Miran flipped the narrative and got herself a job as head of PR. She has a rival in chief Choi who keeps reminding her that she was originally a maid/nanny. Oh boy. I do wonder if the classmate who got her designs stolen will eventually be written in as a support character. After all, Miran got her a collaboration with Cheongma. Whoever this character is she may be an ally for Eunseol down the line ...

Oh I also noticed that the grandmother didn't attend Heejung's funeral or the court case 🚮. But she's going to be the first to kick Eunseol out. What a shame she survives the 10 year time skip... Blaming your son's failed businesses on a premature infant is crazy work but I suppose that's easier than admitting your son is incompetent at what he does. I hope Grandma gets humbled 🤷🏾‍♀️

Today's episode Eunseol is freshly out of jail but of course her trash family isn't going to allow her to move back in. Thankfully there's her defense lawyer Seo Hyunjae... (Who I'm happy to see here after the mess that was the two sisters 😭) Eunseol is about to lock in....

So I don't know what exactly happens but I liked Heejung the most of Eunseol's family members (and Eungak). So Miran is going to frame Eunseol for Heejung's murder... that's foul, but as a viewer I love it 😭

OHHH That's why Heejung looked vaguely familiar. I was trying to figure out where I've seen her before 🤣 her actress eyes stand out to me

Leave it to KBS2 to drop gold when I'm in my busy period. I'm only on episode 3 and I'm so seated. I usually dislike it when kdramas start with flashbacks but I like how this one jumps right into the thick of things.

I've been a fan of Seol Junghwan since A Graceful Liar and it seems like his character is going to play a similar role here. I'm here for it. Also ngl him taking Eunseol's blood donation in his own hands was pretty impressive considering how he was a teenager. I like Eunseol too. I also like her mom. It's unfortunate she is the one that's getting killed off when her MIL and husband are annoying.

Miran is one of those mysterious villainous FLs who has more power than she lets on. Her bribing the principal + getting Haera's mom a role via scandal creation?! I need to know her story... Like Haera said "I know what you're really capable of"

Idk if I need a spoiler tag as it's revealed in episode 2 but Eunseol is Miran's daughter 😭 Miran abandoned her in her quest for power. Can't wait for that backstory (btw I can't stand Eunseol's grandmother her comments regarding Eunseol to her face are foul af ) originally I thought Haera was Miran's daughter but idk why I feel like Haera isn't actually her parent's daughter.

And Haera ... I liked Joo Saebyuk in game of witches but I like Haera because she's not your typical chaebol heiress bumbling inept villainess lmao. I knew it the moment Eunseol's painting accidentally caught on fire and instead of freaking out Haera just smirked and walked away 😭 this girl will be a menace when she gets older

Definitely planning to get current on the next 3 episodes tomorrow

Kang Baeksan is a fun villain lmao... And Taepoong grew on me so much he's hilarious and I want him to take his dad down!! I'm 3/4's through the drama and I'm so excited to see how the last quarter plays out

When I looked I was able to find it on a. Taiwanese kdrama site + vpn (set to Taiwan). The unfortunate thing is the video itself doesn't actually work smh!

I think Eunseol is the real daughter of the chaebol family and Miran swapped her with Haera in order to get Cheogma (I find it funny that Jang Seohee went from trying to take Cheongha group in game of witches and now she's coming for Cheongma 💀)

Seungwoo, Seunghyun and Jini have the same father. That's how they share DNA and how Jini is even allowed to be considered as a candidate for donation. If you share a father you're still half siblings.

But if Jini isn't their younger sister then she doesn't have an obligation to donate :)

I am going to apply your logic regarding Jini to Oreum. If Jini deserves to be punished by her parents sin (adultery), and her existence is karma, then the same could be said for Oreum.

Greed is just as much as a sin as adultery. Mai trying to get ahold of Minki's assets despite coming from a rich family herself is the definition of greed. Following your logic, Oreum getting sick is Mai's karma for being a grave robber. But I digress as you seem to be weirdly against Jini for some reason.

I think it's cruel to tell your younger sister that "she should've died in the womb" and only to apologize years later because you need something ... Not because you're not truly sorry. I think it is also cruel to try to immediately displace a bereaving family from their house as an in-law. I wonder... If Mai were successful in taking the house, would Jini still have moral obligation to donate, even if she were made homeless? The full picture is that the family dynamic created an environment where an obvious decision (save the child) comes with a lot of toxic politics, which complicates matters.

The main disadvantage of bone marrow donation is negative side effects like fatigue (Jini passing out) and pain at the incision site. Of course there's always a risk for complications mid procedure as well...

I can say that if I were Jini I would donate to Oreum however I would not stay anonymous and let the family sit the discomfort that I was the donor and let them cope with their complicated feelings. I'm sorry for Mai and Seunghyun but Oreum being sick doesn't undo the harm they did. It also don't absolve them from their previous acts. Or the hypocrisy: they didn't consider Jini family until they needed something from her... they just don't look like the bad people they are because the thing in question will save Oreum's life.

My issue is with Jini staying anonymous. If on Mondays episode, if Jini doesn't kowtow to the brother's demands to get tested (they don't know she got tested since Jini is anonymous) they WILL take that the wrong way. So that means the viewers will watch the Chas continue to outcast and badmouth Jini while celebrating Oreum's life ... not realizing Jini is the only reason that he is alive. Also... its heavily implied that Jini and Oreum only met because of Minki's death. If Minki never died, Seunghyun or Mai wouldn't have allowed Jini to even have a relationship with him.

The screenwriter came up with quite a premise. It's interesting reading everyone's thoughts and opinions on the matter.

I agree. Jihu is very passive and will probably end up putting Jini in a bad situation. I don't count on him to help defend her either. The wild thing is he was cheated on himself....

I also find it very interesting that most of the relationships in this drama are messy like can there be someone in this drama who falls in love with someone who ISN'T taken. Sabin and Youngju (when it happens) are the only couple so far that fits that description...

She may be my favorite mother character in a daily, I just love her energy and how unbothered she is about everything 😭

Ngl next episode preview doesn't look very exciting. With yesterday's episode (20), Jini goes through with the transplant but since she wants the focus to be on Oreum's recovery, she chooses to remain anon 🙄

The frustrating part arises from the fact that the family isn't aware so in the preview it looks like the Chas are going to beg Jini when we the viewers already know that Jini donated. Jini isn't going to say anything so this is about to make for a frustrating viewer experience.

And ngl I don't give af about Mai's tears or Seunghyun's angst because it won't mean anything after Oreum gets his "anonymous" bone marrow and they're back to dragging Jini. Especially if Jini, trying to remain anonymous, doesn't agree to the brothers demands to get tested then and there.

Jihu developing a crush on Jini lol ok ... JeongA and TaeOh needs to tell him to fall back and end things with Dohee first. Due to the circumstances of Jini's birth and the ugly shared history between Dohee and Jini, Jihu's crush on her is going to make things worse for Jini. We already saw Dohee assault Jini because she "thought" there was an affair. Ngl the romance subplot is my least favorite part of the drama it's just way too typical.

I wonder why kocowa has this drama tagged with revenge... because this doesn't feel like a revenge daily at all there has no "reason" for revenge outside of Dohee's past behavior but the focus on the story is the Cha and Na family. So far we have:

- youngju being quietly bitter over the affair and trying to hold her family together
- seri moving on from minki's death and taking over his company
- jini and friends picture book adventures
- the drama surrounding do dohee and the mystery of her mother. I'm ready for Mama Do to touch down at Incheon...
- Oreum's leukemia
- Sabin expanding his artistic skillset
- Jihu's dad being blissfully unaware that his wife is going to tank his venture as he is too busy living in "K-Montessori"* wonderland
- Seungwoo leaving Jeongwon (for good, hopefully. It's time for her to be written out lol)

We need something more. Whether it's the family teaming up against a greater evil or the Chas being absolute jerks and Jini going "no more mr. nice guy". Just literally anything to get us out of this "Oreum is sick" limbo. Now I'm starting to see why other dailies that do the sick child storyline wait until the second half of the drama... or closer to the end. This is not a subplot that can carry an entire drama, let alone a 120 episode one.

Honestly the preview for episode 21 looked so unappealing I may skip this week and binge watch next Saturday. Maybe by episode 26 they'll be a more riveting storyline...

*Small gripe but the whole K-Montessori thing annoys me because Montessori is a type of school for young children focusing on hands-on education, mixed age classrooms and building independence (children are supervised by a teacher but they pick the task they want to take part in, as opposed to the teacher just lecturing) lmao it has nothing to do with picture books outside of the fact they share the same target demographic 😭
