Real talk I think everyone in this show forgot they were in a revenge drama except for Youngja ... who is getting her lick back next episode... she's going to bag Dracula... I can get behind this. I for one am also looking forward to Baekho marrying Jangmi because that means Baekho is even more justified in beating some sense into Junho. I honestly thought he was going to punch him today. Btw, when Jangmi and Baekho talked afterwards, and Jangmi asked, "do you think I can't handle it on my own?" I shouted out "you can't!" Jangmi peaked when she got Geumsoon's abusive ex arrested, ever since then it's all been down hill.

Now I wonder if Hongju, Seorin and Junho are going to form some kind of unholy trinity... when she gets back from Boston that is. I wonder if this "plastic surgery" is going to be an excuse to cast someone else in her role? One thing is for sure, the writer has no idea what to do with her character ... so on the bus (well, plane) she goes! Regardless, Sanwol is annoying and it's funny (not really) how she's insecure over the chairman's SIL and deceased wife while simultaneously flirting with a man who's young enough to be her son... while married. Regardless I laughed when Chairman Ma didn't claim her 😭

I found it funny that both Kanghyuk and Hwayoung were orphans but neither of them raised the possibility that Dongseok was adopted...

The writer is extremely fond of using the "eggs in ramyeon" metaphor for a bad relationship, she did it in the Third Marriage... This might be cultural differences talking (it's DEFINITELY cultural differences talking) but ramyeon literally takes 5 minutes to make... you want an egg in your ramyeon, crack that shit open yourself ... Nambong continues to be The Worst!

Let's see what mess Hwayoung and Friends are getting into today...

So Hwayoung managed to remember a blanket from 1995 after seeing the photo for all of 30 seconds. Hwayoung takes another W... That being said the office scenes felt childish. Jangmi powertripping is not entertaining to me. This whole "Hwayoung needs to prove herself to Jangmi" subplot is jarring to me for two reasons:
1. It was established that Hwayoung already worked her way up to CEO, it wasn't a position that was gifted to her ... she earned it by building Dream up... she was always competent when it came to Dream. But hey...
2. Somehow Jangmi has the business management skills needed to be a Team Leader. When it was established that she didn't go to college because Taesook stole her tuition money. But I'm sure there's some Daily Drama Logic™ I'm missing out on, like Jangmi having the ability to learn college level business skills via osmosis

Speaking of Taesook, did the actress playing her get fired from the drama or something? I feel like she hasn't shown up ever since the drama was announced to be extended.... granted she was only really used to promote that hotpot place but I liked her smh

I love how Youngja was wearing her own version of the Princess Diana revenge dress! Nambong has effectively been put on house arrest for the time being ... I can understand why Youngja is playing the long game and not granting him a divorce. I appreciate that she's doing it to play psychological chess with this man and not because she wants to get back with him. It is also confirmed that Nambong is infertile and that was why Baekho and Junho were adopted. Interesting...

Speaking of Baekho and Junho I'm now actively hoping that Baekho swings on Junho the next time he talks about Jangmi like she's something he owns and doesn't have thoughts of her own (the concept of Jangmi thinking... 🤭) . Because as I said yesterday they keep having the same conversations ... it'll probably get worse now that chairman gave his blessing. Baekho needs to also fall back and realize that Junho legitimately views him as an enemy now. Baekho is a lawyer ... he should know how to read people lol

Sukhee apologizes to the chairman. I hope her actress is getting paid a nice salary for this role because I'd low-key be dying inside every time I have to read my lines lol

Preview: a new character (orphanage director? high society friend?) shows up and tells Chairman that Eunhye is still around. Youngja is stepping into her revenge era... Here for it! More of Jangmi powertripping Hwayoung.... But it seems like Hwayoung successfully spikes Jangmi's drink this time around...? And it wasn't shown but Hwayoung will absolutely make moves against Sukhee tomorrow. After all, is it really an episode of The First Man if Hwayoung isn't scheming?

Oh yeah how could I forget the iconic "shit!" 😂 Even Sanwol and Hongju agreed that it was weird that "Seorin" stopped saying it for a while 😭

I remember being shocked that they killed Jichang off lmaooo I should revisit it eventually 😭

My educated guess is... so the viewers can tell the twins apart now that Jangmi no longer wears glasses and has upgraded her dress game since pretending to be Seorin lol

Oh I wasn't clear lol with the two sisters the FLs MIL got killed and the actress suddenly had an identical twin written in that was seeking revenge. She had confirmed she came back JUST for that role

The 2ML that got killed off got replaced by Seo Hajoon. The ML (Oh Changseok) didn't actually show up until like... episode 6

I don't think Junho is going to prison unless Hwayoung convinces him to commit a crime but I wouldn't be surprised if his leukemia suddenly relapses and he may or may not die. He definitely won't end up with Jangmi tho

Maybe she'll try to set the mansion on fire at some point, or have Nambong do it.... Idk I don't believe for a second that she wants to create a family with Nambong. Junho, yes... but I think Nambong is going to get played and once he realizes it he'll be past the point of no return.....

It's rare but changing writers tends to happen when the original writer comes into conflict with the broadcast network. The most recent example I can think of is The Two Sisters, which is notoriously terrible - the new writer killed off the ML and casted a new actor to replace him, a dead character suddenly had an identical twin, the series opened with a time jump that was never addressed, etc

I agree Baekho is too young to be the son, he's probably the grandson...

If Youngja is the sister of Sukhee it would make her battle with Hwayoung even more interesting.... I had thought Hongju was randomly throwing out suggestions but maybe she was foreshadowing...

Sukhee or the chairman .... If they don't die I think they'll be incapitated (coma). I could also see something happening to Nambong

I started paying attention to who the writers are a while ago. There are some I like while there are others I'm ambivalent towards... and of course there's writers I don't particularly like lol (in those cases I'll watch if I like the actors enough)

This drama is a trainwreck but honestly? I'm invested in the story, even tho it's a hot mess lol I see why MBC keeps hiring this writer (and extending her dramas) because for better or worse her dramas get people talking 😭

Dracula is a fitting nickname lol I kinda want to see the actor in a horror drama now as a vampire. I think you're onto something regarding Kanghyuk killing / harming Nambong being the wake up call for Junho.

Not only does Dongseok need to show up but so does Baekho's biological family... Interesting how the writer introduced Baekho having a habit of rubbing his ear only for him to never actually do it again after that scene lol

Sukhee being the chairmans daughter is a ... choice. I'm actually not a fan of that twist tbh ... I think the writer may have written herself into a hole with this because if your theory is correct ... Jangmi and Baekho would be related... Right? 😭

Chairman standing on business... he matched Hwayoung's energy. I had to laugh at her signing the blank power attorney. You really think you can get shit (especially relating to finances and stocks) past a chaebol patriarch? I just have to laugh!!

Junho continues to be creepy towards Jangmi, Seorin sees it and gets triggered. She'll assume the worst instead of you know, asking her sister. Or noticing that Jangmi wasn't exactly looking at Junho lovingly when she PUSHED HIM AWAY. You know... Junho can't stand Seorin but I think it's because they are so alike.... both have one-sided inferiority complexes towards their siblings. Both act forceful towards the person they like, both need to learn the meaning of "no, I'm not interested". Both are being manipulated by Hwayoung... I can't believe Junho is choosing Hwayoung who literally abandoned him over the family that supported him through LEUKEMIA. Pull of blood be damned!

Speaking of Hwayoung I nearly gagged watching Hwayoung and Nambong's "date". And the endgame now being Nambong Hwayoung and Junho as a happy family?? ✋🏾😭 THAT'S ENOUGH. I can't believe I'm typing this BUT... I need Dracula to stand TF up and get Nambong out the picture whether that's a civil method or a 💥BEAT DOWN💥. Actually I prefer the latter because IMO Nambong is the most rage-inducing character in this show. Watching that would be cathartic.

Preview : we've officially arrived in CLOWN WORLD. Hwayoung is going to join Jangmi's team at work... as her subordinate (???). Meanwhile, we're getting closer to the reveal that Sukhee is the chairman's daughter. I personally think this is going to trigger Hwayoung into harming Sukhee.... because direct descendant takes priority over an in-law when it comes to the succession battle. Baekho and Jangmi get the chairman's approval for their marriage (bet it won't go through until the end of episode 140 tho 😶) and Hongju and Junho are shaking.

Now we've reached the fork in the road as all dailies that get extended arrive to: you can either 1) introduce new characters and subplots to keep things fresh or 2) start making your existing characters do stupid things and run the plot in circles until the last 5-10 episodes. Looks like TFM is opting for the latter....

I like how Sora and Yoora aren't "friends" right out the gate .... also lol Sora foreshadowing her revenge plot in her job interview. I'm seated

Also I'll always appreciate how much more opulent the chaebol mansions looked in dailies in the late 2000s/early 2010s. The Kangs house is NICE

As for Baekho, there was a scene where Youngja and Nambong were reminiscing about their past... I don't remember the exact episode number but it was definitely before Youngja found out about the affair... But after Hwayoung had Ssangkal killed in prison (thus scaring Nambong off for a little bit) but they were talking and Youngja was like "I'm happy we could adopt because we couldn't have kids" or something to that effect. If I had to guess Baekho was probably adopted as an infant so in his mind those are his birth parents... And Junho was a little bit older because he remembered his name being changed upon adoption.

They do not.... look into sasaeng fans if you want to see just how non-existent Korean stalking laws are. These are the "fans" that break into idols dorms, sell private information and the craziest story I've heard is when fan acquired the same minivan an idol group would travel in with the intention of kidnapping the idol group and doing God knows what with them!

I think ... since the murder attempt and kidnapping took place in 1995, the statue of limitations would've run out. I looked it up and as of 2015 SK abolished the Statue of Limitations for murder... But attempted murder is still 25 years. Kidnapping of minors is 10 years.... at this point Hwayoung fears social punishment more than legal punishment

I think Hwayoung will probably commit another felony before the drama ends and that's how we'll get our Sukhee Hwayoung courtroom showdown
