I was annoyed by ep 4. I loved the FL but the ML was to just too much for me. I got bored.

See y'all at the end of the month. I don't watch shows that are airing.
Blame Rebel Princess for that. I usually start when there's about 4-5 episodes left. But I'm super excited to watch!

I know some don't like the ML and his age. but look at the predicament the FL is in. Very few men her age would be able to help her or put up with situations. It makes sense for her to be willing an older man. He has connections and more knowledge to get her out these situations

I dropped it. Very cliche drama. I love cliches but it just felt like I've seen this before. Down to the main and side characters. Alot of them have been casted in other youth dramas before.

Coroner's Diary and now this! Saving us from a lackluster of Historical dramas. Waited for a year for Coroner's Diary and well worth the wait. It'll be two years for this show! So I know it'll be amazing!!

Also, just want to comment that I appreciate that there's no unnecessary deaths. Alot of recent dramas kill off main characters for shock value. All evil died and anyone just survived.

BRAVO!! This plot twist. I thought it was going to just be the battle between the princes but omg ITS SO MUCH MORE! show of the year! Definitely out did themselves with this!

This drama is perfect. I'm on ep 24 and this drama reminds me of why I fell for Historical c dramas in the first place. It has the right amount of drama, romance, mystery,political intrigue, palace drama, family issues! I missed dramas like this. Been a long time since I felt this happy and pleased and wanting to say up all night to watch!

I love this show. Only on ep 11 but the speed is amazing! They speed over things that don't need ten years of explanation but slow down for the details. Even if the cases last 3 eps they still are quick ,detail with such good suspense and a sprinkle of horror! And I love the flirting and romance is almost instant and you don't have to guess why ML likes the FL! The wait was so worth it for this show

Finally can start watching! Most episodes are out! Princess Rebel scarred me from watching on air shows due to the crazy schedule they had!

Ive been waiting a year for this show. I love stories about women being coroner's..such an underdone genre! And Landi Li is such an amazing actress. Ao Peng took a second to grow on me but I truly enjoy him.

Oh I know better than to scroll. I've been watching Asian dramas/been on this site for ten years. I know the deal. I just felt like coming on here to yap in case of any late comers like me that want to talk.

I love this show and I understand why Cherry is how she is and I understood how JQX is especially because of who there parents are. But I wish Cherry would look around her. There are so many other guys that would love her properly and treat her so well. And she wouldn't have to chase them nearly as much. I'm only on ep 11 so no spoiling please. But I can tell JQX is going to jerk her around.

This show is very good. Yes the romance doesn't start till the end. But you gotta realize it's about a woman whose divorced and finding herself and she meets the lawyer during the divorce. So yes the romance won't be instant. This should be tagged a female centered plot. Because it shows the stories of very vastly different women helping each other and other women. In most female centered plot the romance takes awhile to happen.

Yeah you can tell she is supposed to be the main role. I didn't read the novel but her beginning actions gives main role but then she remember she is a concubine and would change her original plan.

Like at the very least if they are going to make the FL so soft and useless in this ...then change the word Gambit....you can tell they don't know what that word means. Im

I stopped at ep 13. I love the female lead, but I just started losing interest. I was on my phone more than anything.And then at one point I realized this is the Princess's Gambit meaning the FL should be the one shining but since she's a concubine...she can't do anything. I was tired of the ML getting all the praise. Then I decided to scroll and saw some events that instantly make me not watch a drama. So I decided to drop this. Such a same. I've dropped quite a few historical dramas this year...

You are definitely not watching the show intensely enough. For every bad experience that was had with an American, there was a bad experience with a Chinese person. You just choose to focus on the American side. But this is a story about immigrant Chinese citizens trying to do there best in a foreign land and they a showing the bad and good they go through. This includes having bad experiences with Americans and there own countrymen. Id suggest you rewatch the show of you are that far and that's all you are seeing. I'm only on ep 16 and have actually counted more bad instances with there own countrymen than Americans.

Please don't let the ratings discourage you. It's a very good show. The ratings are most likely due to the subtitles. Watch this of Fresh Drama or Gikki. The subtitles are normal on those channels.

Yeah I've read other comments saying that. I don't have the patience for that. But I literally haven't watched a Xianxia since Moonlight Mystique. I've skipped every one that came out this year. I'm sure it's good I just don't have patience for Xianxia's anymore.

Sigh. I won't even waste my time. Bai Lu is my favorite actress. Watched everything she's been in. But one I'm Burnt out from Xianxia's so wasnt too excited for this but also her voice is dubbed?? No thank you. I'll pass on this. The first EP also did nothing for me. It's a shame.

I was enjoying the show at first. First two eps was giving Oh my Venus so I was excited cause that's one of my top K Dramas. I got to ep 5 and realized there's still no romance. No even a hint of a crush. And as much as I enjoyed the comedy and plot I will drop. The leads of have amazing chemistry but at this point if there is any romance it will be forced. Sigh...I'm so tired of dropping modern romance K dramas. I need them to get it together.
