I tried watching this drama and did not like it. I keep reading that the ratings are extremely high for this drama,…
tbh the rating here, this time, is a bit fair.

it started around 7, then rising to 8, now it revert back to 7.
It started good, but not the landing.
As much as i like So-Min, this drama didn't deserve an 8.

Because her rom-coms are usually bad and full of annoying tropes, she picks terrible scripts. there are a tone…
wait. as long as i scroll these comment section from 5-6 episodes ago, most of us criticizing the drama, not So-Min.

we know that she usually play in typical character. Nothing bad of it, she nailed that role in rom-com.

The main problem with this drama is the writing. Many of us have mentioned it sometime ago, but some people read it as hating the drama.

even further, hating the actor?

The story isn't really unique, it's very similar to My Secret Romance. I just wonder how the drama plans out 14…
there are 2 big plots other than main couple romance, which is family feud in ML's family, and runaway FL's sister.

then we have 2nd couple, probably the guy living upstair with ML's fiancee. It probably sufficient for 14 episodes.

And same as you, i hope it won't go downhill, the beginning is really good.

Maybe they obsesses with another romcom that is failing and they even rating the complete drama with only 2 episodes…
"we've been asking MDL not to let people rating ongoing dramas"

no, it cant. some people need to know the rating before decide to watch it themselves. Even it's still airing, we need to look the rating.

eventhoguh the rating aren't describe the overall drama. But people will look at it first, before look to other factors.

so tell me this… Ji Hyeok fell in love with her at first sight? I mean he is whipped at episode 1 itself. wow!
yes, i think it began when she helped the pregnant lady on the street.

then chemistry in his body work more after the kiss.

I have just notice....the current trend in K drama ....they are going with 12-14 eps format. Ah, I'm used to 16…
some 16 episodes felt dragged.

Story wise, 12 episodes usually are good enough, although some dramas felt rushed. Another reason probably tied to cost factor.

Many dramas this year presented less than 16 episodes without felt rushed. Most of them worked so well. So the trend will continue for 2-3 years in the future.

I haven't started it but does the romance feel rushed?? I saw some scenes and idk😭
first 2 episode are good. it's not typical kdrama when the leads fall in love mid drama (ep 8-10).

It's fast paced. Almost like love at first sight. More like, love at first kiss (i'm sure it's not spoiler since it's the title, and mentioned in synopsis).

Maybe episode 3 and after will be typical K-drama. But first 2 episodes are really good, i'm hooked for next episode.

I have a feeling the angst is gonna be too much for my enjoyment, unfortunately. I hate lies, miscommunication…
i thought it gonna be modern cinderella story at first.

she met prince-y character that made her forgot her bad situation. Then the clock rang, time is up, and she went back to reality, without saying goodbye to him.
(i'm already dissapointed when they stop intimate scene. but my dissapointment didn't stop there).

He then look for her, like in fairytale when the prince look for cinderella using her shoe.

But nah, they have to meet in common kdrama plot.

I can still enjoy it, just, please there is no past childhood connection, or parent's murder, writer-nim!!

I'm so mad! It started off so good, why introduce the same old shitty tropes??? I wanted them to be different!…
we have a chance to see something different (from drama) when he look for her using tree as a clue.

But, yeah, we dissappointed again.

The same... The plot isn't that good but it is a easy watch and there isn't a lot of better dramas airing now...…
yeah agree, not many good kdramas recently, i have to watch older romcom. Like, Flex x Cop, and He is Psychometric.

But, as for this year. Love Next Door is good. Bon Appetite and Genie Make a Wish also entertaining. Light and Fun.

As for airing drama, somebodies mentioned about Dynamite Kiss. Two episodes in, and i think it's good too. I'm imagine if Jung So-Min played the female role there, rather than playing in Would You Merry Me?.

I haven't seen bon appetit yet but what is the reference you're referring to?
yeah when i heard her dialogues, i do remember her scenes in Bon Appetite. But i just thought its a coincidence, because her drama released in a consecutive month, no way she can influence the writing during production.

Heard her dialogue after watching Bon Appetite is funny, cuz she is said "recently" as it a drama a go.

First of all, Bae Na Ra is bae 🩷 cant believe this is the first time I’ve seen him!! He feels so familiar.…
So Min's worst drama.

At first i can tolerate the cliches and tropes because of the leads. Without them, this drama is just mediocre.

I dont really follow Wo Shik's work. But probably it is also his worst drama.

That last 4 episodes is really lazy writing. It'll be better without evil uncle plot, because every story around his schemes doesnt make senses.
I turned my brain off when overseas company did a fraud using edited photos of a factory. But from there it just get worse.

dont forget that she lied to her mom instead of just tellun her the wedding was off, for literally no good reason.…
im comparing her lie here with in Love Next Door. She lied to her parents about break up too, and resignation.

In both dramas, she lied about her bad situation to hide it.

But in LND, probably there are more screen time, so it not appear as bad as in WYMM. in LND we see how miserable So-Min's character, so we grew sympathy to her.

she's a liar through and through? she is a liar in 2 consecutive dramas.

JK, lying to our close people to hide our miserable situation usually understandable. It's not right, but we understand why people hide it.

She continues to lie and mislead him. He should dump her and get with the SFL.
without childhood connection, Me-Ri will appear as red flag to Woo-Shik's U-Ju

It's the mix of every possible cliche in Kdrama world.Poor and miserable FL with ex lover with cheating problems.Nice…
my expectation was high with this drama.

For romance scenes, or any scenes involving Woo-Sik and So-Min interaction, it probably satisfy both fans. Especially So-Min's fans, like me.

But the story overall is kinda barely written. This totally rely on both main leads.

In short, this drama feels like a fan service drama, just little of story as context for main lead's interaction.

six years late to watch this drama. It's good, good romance.

I'm just gonna say this straight up that's been bothering me... usually when a friend's boyfriend calls you to…
there are so many wrong things with this drama tbh.

But, no need to expand it to other dramas, because i'm sure there are other dramas that showing woman who have their ability to stand for themselves.

Some titles that comes to my mind like Run On, Agency, and Today's Webtoon showing woman who can stand on their own foot.

You really mean by "Kdramas" are "popular drama", or specifically "popular rom-com drama".
