Tbh i dont remember how JianJian started to like her brother romantically, i skip when its their scene. I started dont like it when Ling Xiao kissed his sister in a sleep, and later try to kiss her forcefully. Is she started to like him because the kiss?

I hate it too, just when JianJian's life is getting better (she have moved on, have her own life), her brother comeback and make her in miserable situation because of their mixed feeling. I mean Zi Qiu too.

They made a lot of shows each year, its normal if some is good, some is bad, some fresh, some just like another, and some are remake of others. There will be a year when many good shows were produced, and there will be year when the number of good shows decreased.

Family by Choice is among good shows, but probably you value Korean shows too high.

There will be moment when they are separated for 10 years, when they meet again they like stranger (or at least that Ju-Won feelings to her brothers). It kinda reset their feeling toward eachother. I do like their dynamics as sibling, and hate their romantical plot. But seems the showmaker will make it like that.

The og version made Ju-Won with San-Ha. While Hae-Joon have his own arc, its not romantic arc, more like family one. He also didnt end up with Park Dal. But i hope, i really hope the Korean showmaker make surprise change about it, and a better one of course. But if they dont, its fine, it still good show, a fresh remake with Korean touch.

the dynamics between the siblings and family is two best part, when it develop to romantical feelings its the part i hate, i will drop when it reach there. I've seen Go Ahead, so i've seen overall plot, no reason to finish Family by Choice.

Yes, watching Family by Choice feels fast paced. I doubt it'll have more time to show the warm story of Go Ahead.

Some things i can say improved. In some parts they did better in Family by Choice. But the core part, i doubted it.

Dont be afraid and clingy to og version of it, be like JianJian, move on. You probably enjoy it more when you watch it without past feelings to Go Ahead. Overall its worth to watch eventho its hard not to compare to Go Ahead.

They added a little story when kid JuWon wanted an older brother. When SanHa arrived we have understand JuWon's wish probably came true and why she sticky to SanHa from early.

In Go Ahead they dont have this story, somehow JianJian just liked Ling Xiao alot. This is better thing they fixed from the start.

Maybe because them 3 grow together and dont have any other else? That is why its different than yours? Both fathers are busy working. They 3 are kinda isolated in their social life, they've been bullied and mocked by other kids since very young. The neighboors always pity them or badmouthing them. Theyre detached from social life, make it very attached to eachother.

Idk, dont they have this awareness in 2020 ? Shouldnt be much different than now.
Hope the Korean one make it better in this part. The actor is better for start, but hope his character's action is better.

Yeah too bad they develop it to romantical feeling. Personally i dont like romantical plot between these sibling, especially how they portray LX character, he look creep when kissed his sister in her sleep. And later without her consent, and later when they become official, he look thirsty to kiss her or hug her. The actor make it worse with his bland expression, haha.

Both their reason is understandable, JianJian is their world. Its her and family backhome who make them staying alive.

When it reached this part i realized that JianJian is the most normal of them 3, eventho they all have mom issue. JianJian's mom will never comeback, but her father gave her most love and make her grow healthy, both mentally and physically.

Idk if they compared to original version. But even if we dont, i find JuWon annoying when she is playing victim.

Her energetic character is in weird way, while the og is the cool way. JianJian fights adult to defend innocent stranger, while JuWon fights to not to be bullied then she dropped to pool because her mistake but playing victim.

The og is like Sun Deok-Son. Weird and likeable. Combined with Na Hee-Doo who is often didnt think very much of her actions.

I will spoil you the chinese version.

At some point Juwon less interested to talk to both her brothers, because they dont know what to talk about.
They become distant and more distant to the point like family from different branch of family.

Its really sad look at them individually during that time. Juwon who always clingy to her brother didnt want to meet her brothers during farewell (imagine how angry she is around that time), her brother missed her and their family so much. And later both of her brother workfield are inspired by kid JuWon, but JuWon felt awkward around her brother.

Heartwrenching to see it, because she have grown and move on. But probably the Korean one will be lightly cover this part because of the duration (it'll less torturing than og version).

I can say he is creep for kissing without concern.

Early adult life is challenging phase. Career, romantics, social pressure, bills, all comes together.

And ZiQui realized after hearing explanation from JianJian, i adore her character's growth. From a troublemaker in her youngdays to dependable in her early adult life. From dependant and clingy to her brothers to become kinda wise and an achor for her brother's struggles.

Zi-Qui's mother have difficult life, it'll be revealed later.
While Ling Xiao's mom is really difficult to handle from start to finish. In later phase of the story you will angry at her more. In later phase, her appearence will have kinda horror sound background, haha.

We invested in their character, we followed their journey.
Let see how 16 episode of Korean version tackle this format. Eventhough chinese one is shorter duration for each episodes.
