It's not about "voice", it's about the way she uses her voice. I had a "childlike" voice for a. long time in my 20s but I trained it to sound more adult just by changing the way I speak. You don't even know how many times a telemarketer would call me and ask to talk to my "parents" when I was living alone. It's not about her "voice"...it is about the way she speaks. I even took a public speaking class in university to learn how to speak better in public.

It was good enough to watch. I enjoyed the beginning parts of it. Although, towards the end, I wasn't a fan of all the bad decisions the ML and FL were making. They had to see people die around them to take some action. The ML wasn't the best looking guy but he was a pretty decent actor. Sometimes good acting can change an average person into an attractive person. It can also do the opposite for attractive people with their bad acting. There are a lot of bad actors out there who do make it just for their looks. A good solid 7/10 for this show. I am not a fan of the latter episodes so points were taken off for that.

The male lead's character is awful in this show. He never gets any better in my eyes. I can't stand him. At least the male lead is good at making people hate his character. I don't know if I want to see him in another show, that's how good at being awful the male actor is. The FL doesn't help much either. it's like she's got serious Stockholm Syndrome on this show. I liked the second male lead better.

This is the second show I've seen the male lead in and he was dull and boring in that one too. Either he's into playing dull characters or he actually makes the characters dull. The other males were more exciting.

He is from a rich family too...so she's hit the jackpot with that lame pushover. That guy is such a weak character.

The newest Zhao Lusi show isn't that great, but I watched it to the end. Sometimes the story just is too lame to like but I finished it anyway. I might start this one if I can get over the voice problem.

It was a good enough show to watch but the ending really brought the rating down for me. The last few episodes were disappointing and it completely felt disjointed. It was NOT a happy ending. At least if he were able to follow her to her world, maybe I would be more satisfied. That kind of weird ending just leaves you a little angry that you wasted so much time watching it. Although, it was pleasant to watch in the beginning and middle.

What? No 16 episodes? Awww....good drama though.

I didn't like the female lead either. The show was good but the female lead was bring it down for me. Her acting was over the top annoying. It was so bad, I was hoping he ended up the beautiful "bad" girl in the show.

Does anyone else notice how the "American" Taiwanese lady has a big Chinese accent but is suppose to be born and raised in America? She does not sound American at all.

So it's more airtime for the old mistress than the wife...great. She is sneaky for older lady. Her "innocent" act while meeting the parents and pushing into the family. I'd do a background check on this chick if I were in that family. Seems a little shady.

It's the same way when I hear people say the word "like" too much as a filler word. Even though older people sometimes say the word "like" in their language, it gives me a teenager type vibe. That's how I feel about the way she speaks. She has a script she acting from, so the words are already given to her but the way she uses them, seems childish.

Very good drama from beginning to end.

I get no Zhao Lusi vibe from her at all. Maybe I'm bias because I'm a huge Zhao Lusi fan and I've seen most of her dramas. I don't get the same feels for this actress.

I'll try again but I got caught up in this other drama that ended up with a bad and confusing ending. I just don't like the way she talks so much. It's high pitched and kind of "childish" way to speak. Does she get more mature in her speaking? From her background on the show, I expect a college graduate that is more articulate especially if she's going to be in the publishing industry. I guess, it's just me.

I remember, I watched it twice without realizing that I already watched it. That's how "unmemorable" the drama was. It's good in the beginning and then the stupid stuff happens just to fill episodes.

No the son is the mother’s son from another marriage, that I know for sure because he said he was adopted. They also say at the end when he talks to his mom be about how they are not blood related.

I think Anxin is the only one related to Mr. Gu by blood, which the stepmother hid from her father and changed the DNA results. The other two kids are hers from another marriage. If Anxin is the biological daughter of Mr. Gu, it is highly unlikely that the other daughter, the same age, is his biological daughter. That's why I found the ending lame. They didn't resolve that issue.

I watched this for Ryan Ding, but I couldn't get pass the actress' voice. I don't like how she talks or the pitch of it. I tried to skip further into the series to see if she sounded better, but I just don't like how her voice sounds or how she speaks. This is the second show I've seen her in, the first was My Amazing Boyfriend 2 and I stopped that one too. I like Ryan Ding in "The Romance of Tiger and Rose" so I was really hoping this one was a winner too. Too bad.
