It’s weird that it’s not because of the leads that I’m hooked in this series. I think the OR team and CS supporting unit motivates me more to finish this. I particularly love the rapport of everyone. And my favorite characters would have to be Koo Dong Joon (love his growth as a CS and his one or two or even more lines thrown to make him cool) and Prof. Lee Dae Young. The latter is my favorite since the beginning like there’s something about the portrayal of his character which makes him so relatable despite not having contact to patients outside OR considering he is an anesthesiologist. In a way, Prof. Lee is like the eye of us viewers that see through the politics happening in the Taesan. I particularly love him in ep. 26 (he was so awesome and made me proud as I wasn’t wrong to stan him).
Totally random but I went here to see more of Seo Ji Hye (this series has been on my plan-to-watch series for some time now though) only to discover three more casts from CLOY. Haha.
This has been in my on-hold scene for quite a while now but I have to say the egg scene was memorable (not surprised it’s even included in the tags for this series). I mean I have forgotten a lot of scenes but that particular scene has always been ingrained in my mind whenever I think about Rookie Agent Rouge.
Like the attention to detail, especially in episode 34. They altered the sequence a bit and opted to put DH in Fanyin Valley while FJ decided to enter the python formation. I mean... sure, Xiao Yan may be able to also go out the valley if he tries to (as it was his choice not to even try in the first episodes seeing JH there) but idk... saves the hassle for all of them? I would’t say I didn’t like how it was put in the book though, still. I mean it was quite dynamic with DH teleporting like greased lightning the moment he heard FJ went on to steal the Saha fruit.
Gonna watch Heart Surgeons now because I need more Seo Ji Hye series. I love her the moment I discovered her through CLOY. Hope she’ll have more leads in the future. She’s so gorgeous and talented.
No, what I mean is that the scene in episode 30 is also one of my favorites (i.e. divan scene though it’s still a bummer that they didn’t add rainfall and how the downpour got heavier at the mention of Xiao Yan BUT OH WELL, still a well-executed scene so not much complaint haha). That particular scene you mentioned in your spoiler has not been shown yet.
I remember watching this and dropping it after the first episode because I didn’t like the female lead. Can someone please tell me if there’s a central romance in this or really just bromance? I hope the latter.
This series would have a special place in my heart. Each sidestory was executed well, all excluding one. In all honesty, I still didn’t feel for the casts in SK but I’m happy that the second brother and his wife got the punishment they deserved and at least, her family has been there to support her in the end (or at last really make her feel it finally since I know they care for her but there has always been a wall).
Back to the part I wasn’t happy about... I’m still so saddened that they had to kill Gu Seung Jun. After finishing episode 15, I already felt it in my gut that GSJ might not survive considering they would not just kill Se Ri’s character only at the end of that episode. But still, I was holding on a thin thread of hope that they wouldn’t do my second couple bad. I mean, how is it that when a man finally finds his catalyst to be a better man and a reason to lead a good life that they decide to finish it like that? And I mean why didn’t they do our Seo Dan justice? She waited for a man she loved unrequitedly for 10 years and only when she finally realizes she has moved on that they destroy her lovestory? Where is the justice in that? I’m still so emotional because of this sequence.
But still, I’m happy that I gave this series a try without any expectation. I didn’t know it would end up being a favorite. Well, what do we know? This series has actually crash landed on my heart. It has been a beutiful journey and happy to be a spectator of how everything unfolded.
Can’t really see anyone portraying DHD the way Vengo did him justice. I liked his role as Zhen Bei Ye as well in Fu Yao. I’m hoping to see more lead roles for him. Also, a reunion with Reba, hopefully in a modern setting.
