AM1994 has driven me each side of crazy. I love this show to bits, but I'm ready for it to end--if only to put me out of my "who's the husband?" misery. I was on Team Trash during the early episodes and somewhere along the way, Chilbong stole my heart.
After re-watching all of the episodes for missed hints, it seems that while most of the 2013 flashback hints point to Chilbong, more importantly, most of the relationship development and screen time has gone to Trash/NaJeung. Sigh....
So logically, after watching drama after drama where the 2nd lead guy never gets the girl, my head is sadly whispering to begin preparations to go down with the Chilbong ship. But my heart still holds onto the hope that the writers, with a miraculous feat of writing creativity, will make a Chilbong-NaJeung pairing work in just the last 2 episodes of this drama. A girl can hope, right?
I'm more of a romcom person, but this was pretty cool! Really enjoyed all of the twists and turns in the drama...even if some were unrealistic. But I guess that kdramaland for you. Still had fun watching it!
I had started watching this drama when it first aired and dropped it. I finally decided to give it another go and it's now on my favorite drama's list! The storyline was a bit far fetched at times and some parts were a bit boring, but the chemistry btwn Arang and Eun Oh was amazing and imo made up for everything else. I really enjoyed watching them interact. The ending was also adorable. I didn't realize how great of an actor Lee Joon Gi is. Now I'm hooked and have started watching his other work.
Was it a great drama for me? No. But overall I enjoyed it and was able to get through it without fast forwarding too much. And of course, watching So Ji Sub and Seo In Guk were added bonuses.
I had two main issues with it---Gong Hyo Jin's character got on my nerves...especially during the first few episodes. And while there were many funny moments to watch between the two leads, in my opinion there were very few times where I felt any romantic chemistry between them.
