As a 53 year old gay man, I disagree with you. We've been up to our necks in shows and movies that end with heartbreaks, deaths, and general miseries for many, many years. Broken portrayals have been shoved down our throats for long enough. Bring on some healthy and happy, I say, to counter the negativity the world can still heap on LGBTQ+ people on a regular basis!

I'm glad to read that you haven't been jumped on. As for the ones getting personal instead of focusing on the subject, it's a rookie mistake people make in debate/discussion. I call it a mistake, because it usually undermines the merits of their position, in the first place. I usually just block them because they're not worth my attention. If they really get into being personal, I report them for trolling. Easy! :D
I hope the next series after this (Fish Upon The Sky) will also deliver like this series.

Exactly. I've had conversations in this thread with people who had different perspectives. We didn't change one another's minds, but that wasn't really the point. Healthy discourse is a worthwhile exercise, in and of itself. Sometimes we do get to see things differently as a result.

Indeed. I love this show but have the sense to know that not everyone is going to feel the same way. As long as people are able to focus their comments on the show and not other posters, there should be no issues at all.
