QUOTE: "The romanticization and glamourization of a group of people usually based on prejudices, stereotypes and ignorance about them; often a masked or seemingly inverted form of racism, sexism etc. that appears positive on the surface but may be harmful or exploitative for the group in question."
You've hit the nail on the head, here, -Aprillen- .

I decided to unblock you to make a last comment. -Aprillen_ summed up my position quite nicely. I found your complete obliviousness to the fetishisation of gay men that often occurs in the genre deeply insulting.
As for being married to my anger, I'm a 53 year old psych nurse. I'm fairly conscious of making such an error in thinking. An insult like yours, though, does not inspire me to engage in dialogue with you further. it demonstrates that you are either ignorant of the feelings gay men validly experience with the genre into the way we can be used as objects to satisfy females or you think that there's nothing that could be possibly wrong with that.
I remain uninterested in further dialogue with you.
It’s some time since I watched ITSAY, but I find your comments interesting. I agree that the actors are very…
You're welcome. I'm the sort of person who revisits works that I enjoy, no matter the weight or toll. Books, TV shows, movies... there have been very few that I've loved that I don't engage with repeatedly. (There have been a few movies, though, that I have seen that I felt were important but so disturbing that I never need to see them again.)
I can relate to what you said about feeling that your overall enjoyment wasn't taken away. No series is perfect and we all let certain things slide based on subjective experiences. There's no particular right or wrong about that, either, in my opinion. We all view and evaluate things in our own way. In my favourite works, I've given passes to things that have stopped others from enjoying them dead in their tracks.
The thing is this is now hyped up and the new watchers go in with huuuuuuge expectations. Not that I am saying…
Because I'm an older viewer, I always prefer to watch a show as it airs, if I get the chance. That is still the framework in which these shows are produced. I think it detracts for the impact that each episode has on it's own to just binge-watch them all at once.
Even when I watch series that have already aired, I tend to pick 2 or 3 to watch at the same time and alternate between their episodes to give them time to sink in and appreciate.

the comments are making me want to avoid to avoid this instalment with a 10 foot pole, this may not be for me.…
To be honest, I think they'll end up together after they try to pass off something wholly inadequate as a turning point, given how troubled YJ clearly is.
