Sure he may be trying his best but then again Why join a Korean show that involves strategy and lots of communication if you know you can't communicate in that language well ? He literally said in his interview that the contestants must be smart so they'll probably be able to speak English. That just comes off as him expecting that they'll cater to him tbh

This is definitely just a personal thing that has nothing to do with the actual show but it annoys me how much English Justin speaks. He joins a Korean variety show, set in Korea, and speaks Korean about 30% of the time? It just seems inconsiderate because everyone else has to accommodate to speak to him and it's like he barely even tries, he mainly just speaks English

Not really a fan of Haneul, she was a bit too sttong on that date w Jimin, especially since they'd only known each other for a couple days at that point. Like yes, express your feelings, but in a gentler way. You could tell Jimin was flustered by it and clearly it didn't move him that much.
I also don't think she really has any feelings for Chanhyung, she's just choosing him because he likes her.

I believe Jiho, the actor playing Heesu, was freshly 18 when they filmed this drama so it's better off that they didn't, considering his costar is 6 years older than him

Despite all the changes the writers did, it was truly nice seeing Heesu & Seungwon come to life and watching their love story through those great actors. I'll probably reread the manhwa just to see them again

I guess that makes sense. They will ignore the fact that Baekjin literally put Baku's father in jail, threatened Sieun with Suho's life, was the reason every Eunjang student was bullied, and was committing literal crimes through the money laundring & bike stealing, all because he didn't put a main character in a coma😒

it's interesting how I've seen many people say baekjin's a "good guy" and defending his actions or whatever when he's just as bad as beomseok, if not worse. both have sad backstories which influenced their bad decisions, yet the way both characters are treated by viewers is almost completely different. the kdrama baekjin's backstory & motivations weren't even fleshed out that well either compared to the webtoon (from what im hearing). i want justice for my boy beomseok because season 1 actually spent time developing the main leads into multi-dimensional personalities, but most people chose to ignore his complexities and brush it all into one blanket statement. but here we have another version of him in s2, who is arguably less developed as a character (i blame netflix) and he's getting so much love. is it because of his ending or what? do people like him more because he had a tragic ending, while beomseok was just sent abroad? neither one had a proper redemption arc either.

Exactly my thoughts. I'm fully supportive of them becoming a couple if they do, but Dowon truly isn't showing any signs that he reciprocates Yiyoung's feelings

I just took him pretending to be asleep as a sign that he's uncomfortable by her advances and that's why he's avoiding her. He literally said "you can like me, if you want things becoming awkward between us". I understand his perspective if he DID like her, but right now he's not really showing us any real proof that he does. He's kind to her the same way he's kind to the rest of his juniors.

I keep seeing people say Dowon's suppressing his feelings for Yiyoung, but I can't be the only one who thinks that he doesn't have feelings at all? The elevator scene kinda confirmed it for me that he doesn't, but people took that in a positive way too so I'm trying to understand What yall are seeing that I'm not. I honestly don't think it's gonna work out between them, unless he starts opening his heart up now because otherwise he's showing no clues and I have no idea who else the "long time romance" that the cast mentioned could be

He's a nice guy and he takes care of his juniors. Are you even watching the same show? The romance is minimum and right now it's very much one sided, most of the focus is on the hospital lives of the 4 leads.

They have an 8 year age gap in real life and around a 3-4 year age gap in the drama, both in which are fine considering they are grown adults. Your problem clearly is that he's not attractive enough for you, so just say that.

There are so many similarities between Suho-Beomseok's relationship and Baku-Baekjin's. Both friends to enemies, and they have similar endings :) Both have the 'bad' one constantly trying to rile up the other and get a reaction out of them, which subconsciously seems to be a beg for attention, negative or not. But the tension between both relationships definitely does feel similar.

Baku has the loudness & extroverted friendly personality of Yichan in Twinkling Watermelon but also the same drive of justice that Suho had in s1. Ryeoun and Hyunwook keep having these mini connections lol

Here I was hyped over the latest episode and the buildup it was creating for ep 10 only to come to the comments and see everyone pissed 😭 Yall the confession was always going to be in the final episode, they're just prolonging the plot until then. Just skip the second lead & sister scenes and you'll be fine. They clearly took a different approach than the manhwa to make it more appealing for a general audience and I understand the frustration of the og manhwa fans (I'm also an og manhwa fan) but honestly the scenes between Heesu & Seungwon are so good it makes me ignore the rest. Blame the script instead of the actor too jeez. The og will always be there

i know right, he doesn't have a "perfect" personality and he doesn't have a very entertaining character but he's also just a human being here to date and find a partner. he's not horrible for not knowing how to continue the convo when talking about jeyeon's career, and it's completely normal that he's slightly passive through this dating process. people are expecting these participants to be perfect green flag kdrama leads when in reality everyone is flawed

I think they saw how compatible Jiwon & Changhwan were through their responses in their books and that's what ultimately led him to be cast. Their mindset & way of life seems to be very similar, plus they both wrote the same movie for one of the questions. It feels like fate. Plus Changhwan has a really impressive career of being a pilot, which you don't really expect in a dating show. So from the producers' perspective, I see why they added Changhwan into the cast. They probably passed the 15 year age gap problem as an interesting twist for the viewers, despite it being the opposite for Changhwan. But yeah, if they were gonna add him in, they should have casted older women too.
