This was pretty awesome. Not romance-focused. Love just happened organically during the other things happening. And the mystery was gripping. Even when I knew something, I was looking forward to the characters finding out. Binged in 3 days. I have a very short attention span in watching anything and I get distracted a lot and switch to watching other things in-between shows, most of the times, but this one kept me hooked from 1-20.

I mean, I can't get over that face and I am not happy about it. I need to life.

It's the Thai counterpart of Mexican telenovelas. Crazy, frustrating but if you love it, you love it.

I have finished epi 9 and won't start 10 before tomrrow bc 11 is on 15th and that's like 5 years far away. But I have thoughts and they aren't gonna change with 2 epis bc the style of the show has been already established.

This show is playing on high-voltage lakorn style. The conflicts are like life and mental health and safety altering, introduced in every 2 episodes and resolved in the same epi or the next like dusting off cookie crumbles. I am not complaining. I love it. I absolutely didn't like the SA treatment but the rest I love. This is filled with rush, the sharp bending and straightening of the mini plots. It's entertaining bc I love the bounce. And for me, SmartBoom is the hook of the show. It's their acting and chemistry that's driving the show like a smooth long drive on a traffic-free highway. The story is inconsistent, but it's entertaining. The chemistry is... like i have to say anything 🙄 I'll miss them and i won't be happy abt the next seasons if they end it with cliffhanger. I understand why Boom is crying all the time cos he's our nagek who's taking on all the cruel crappashittery of the world, trying to save our praek jun. And our praek is cute naughty and supportive and their relationship is not toxic and i love that. But i want Akin to be happy in the end. He's gonna be gif-ed as the ethereal crying man forever in my mind. But pls let him be happy in the last episode and then bring all the torture back in the next seasons after the guy gets a long breather.

I am prolly sounding unhinged bc it's 6am and i am sleepy but i needed to journal these feelings here before i forget them. I'll prolly continue commenting, or not while watching the next 2 epis. Whatever. Bye.

I love Toey. I forgot abt him fanwomaning over SmartBoom. I always liked him in lakorns. Fab actor. But here he's just such a cool daddy watching over Akin. So mature. Funn story: for the first 3 episodes I kept thinking he's Sea, no friggin idea why. Maybe bc it's been a long time since I've watched a lakorn or him in any lakorn. Then I realized, oh he's Toey, the guy who mostly plays cute guy in lakorns and I like him.

IKR? Just bc he's a beautiful man making crying look like painting doesn't mean you keep jousting him 😭😭

Boom vampire and Smart cop! I looove SailubPon. Waiting for Pit Babe 2 to wrap up so I can binge. Hoping theywill have more screentime this season and then another series of their own.

Smart and Boom deserve it. They are really good. So glad they are getting so much love. And I'll die to see Boom as a sexy vampire 🩸❤️‍🔥

And i am loving Jin-Akin Smart-Boom so much that I am at episode 7 and already feeling a hole in my heart that it's gonna end soon. These two are so addictive that I can't 🥹

I have been watching Thai dramas for 11 years and they have tropified SA and r*** as romance initiator or plot device and I am, what can i say, trying to look at the other things that make a show good in spite of the aesthetisized SA, but it bothers me still and I try to talk abt it sometimes😬

I understand Jin. I didn't like what he did but I understand where he was coming from. And, yes, he apologizes to Akin and assures him that he didn't do anything wrong bc "he didn't sleep with Johny". I just don't agree with how the SA thing is handled here. There's never any case/probability/doubt/hypothesis of Akin "sleeping with" Johny. It's about Johny planning an SA on Akin and half executing it. So, the dialogue should've been more in tune with that. Like, not your fault, you were unconscious, you were taken advantage of, and it's not abt you sleeping with Johny, it's abt I couldn't be more grateful that you are safe and not r*p*d by Johny even tho that criminal molested you.

And the next scene abt haha how Johny sleeps around for getting roles, with cutesy music imo was very dissonant. This is just my opinion and my feelings. I still love the show no less. I love the actors and the story. But it does use an extremely sensitive topic like SA with levity like other shows and trust me, my 11 years as a Lakorn watcher has made me somewhat able to appreciate a show in spite of all that, but I am still bothered by this treatment. That's why I mentioned it.

I am loving both the actors' acting, but I am becoming more and more an Akin girl. I love his character, and I am hurting by how vulnerable he's becoming because of his circumstances and Jin. And I don't like how quickly Jin's trusting some random guy and saying all those hurtful things to Akin making him feel guilty and say sorry(?) when he's a victim of an almost sa in this situation and again this sa thing is treated here just like in other thai dramas and lakorns. Don't just brush it aside pls. Don't make it a plot device. When Akin is feeling horrible and crying before Jin, apologizing, the next scene really shouldn't be Jin sharing Johny's audio clips and bragging how he can't let him get away with messing (?) with Akin in a cutesy scene. AH please no! Say sorry, Jin, for not listening to Akin before blaming him. And pls don't make light of SA.

I don't think they're gonna take that route in this one, at least in the end, or last season whatever it'll be. But the story is similar to A star is born and from a real-life perspective a sad ending seems more understandable. Heartbreaking like life.

Ep 5. Theirs is a very difficult relationship given Jin's rising is causing Akin's fading and it's sad to see both of them.
