I love red flag ML's, but this one was kind of jerkish and tepid. And he was wearing high heels and a really foofy…
Haha! Yes, he's definitely not the dangerous brand of bad boy. He's so intellectualized that it looked posy and funny and annoying. Ryu was still beautiful tho.
Lol I can't with the wannabe coolness and navel-gazyness of this show. I watched because of my love for Ryu. But it's worse than the kdrama. At least the Kdrama gave the fl the importance and agency that was needed for the message it was supposed to convey event though it lost its way by the end. This one was just a half-cooked broth of an early 2000's j-k-drama with Nevertheless' toxic relationship and an emo ml allowed too many excuses. But you know like someone in the comment said: a red flag is a red flag is a red flag.
It was a bit difficult to get through episode 1 but i did it anyway for Li Yun Rui after putting it on hold, 5 times. But then it got a bit easy. But it's again hard now at episode 10. Lu Xing Yan (it's not you, Yun Rui sweety, it's him) needs to grow up first to have a gf like Xing Ruo and she should not go back to an immature man like him. After what ridiculous unprofessional behavior he pulled in the reality show, she is going to him to say sorry and coddle him. Don't like the sml either. He's immature too. Xing Ruo deserves better.
Oh, what a pain this type of mls are! I miss my Song Mo.
You monster! for giving it a 6 and not 10 when it deserves 100 if not 10000000000. I wanted to give it a 100, by the way.
Thanks so much for this amazing review. My cheeks hurt. It's been a minute since I watched it; gonna rewatch. This time it won't be the same again even though I'll still love it. I'll be hearing your words in Jon Bailey's voiceover throughout. The only downside of the review is now I wanna read your reviews on all my favorite shows and movies. Haha. Don't mean to scare you.
P.s. Yes, what makes it the truest bl is not giving any of its bl characters a happy ending, especially the fat gay uncle who definitely didn't deserve any other capacity or screentime in this show other than that of a supportive gay uncle. And yes, also being fake boyfriends or girlfriends in a homophobic country instead of pretending to be straight is the real thing, saying this as an Asian.
