The biggest thing the show lacks is nuance. The point is to look at how the education system has failed teachers…
They did touch upon this when it was revealed that the reason why Yeri gave up on studying and got addicted to social media was her middle school teacher. She was a good student who worked hard but the teacher ruined her life. She made do with what's left and caused pain to other people because of that.
The show can only do so much but I appreciate how they showed that. There is a reason for every behaviour and I hope that eventually they get the treatment that they need. However, I do believe that the have to be apprehended first to stop then from doing bad things. Treatment and counselling comes after. These guys are literally committing crimes. We gotta stop then from hurting others and themselves first before we can look more into what's going on inside.
Episode 5 was pure blood boiling for me, just skipped through the scenes,These types mother's are the sole reason…
I'm an early childhood educator and I kid you not. This is an everyday thing for us. Not as severe as we wont give out our personal numbers to parents but it's the nitpicking and power tripping. Management sides with the parents even if they are wrong. I've been written up trying to advocate for the kids but apparently it upset parents so I'm the one in trouble. Sigh. Then they wonder why their kids are messed up. Watching that episode was frustrating but also felt good because I felt so seen. Also love how the principal realized later on that instead of supporting her teachers, she left them to get bullied by parents.
Anyone else disappointed with the resolution of the FL‘s story? All that buildup with her background story and…
It was not as loud as Dong-man's story resolution but she definitely had hers. She was able to name and recognize her feelings even without the watch. She knew what to do when certain feelings come up and she was able to face her mom without getting a nosebleed. She let go of what's weighing her down. She owned up to her writing and I can see her making it big later on. She stood up against those who oppressed her and opened herself up to people. If that's not a win for the character, I don't know what is.
Very well said. I still don't like her but I commend her tenacity. She made a decision and stuck with it. Just…
I think her main thing is to be famous. It was mentioned that she stood out in her neighborhood because she's always put together no matter what. We don't the the circumstances of her getting married and having a child but I'm assuming she realized it did not align with her original goal so she left them to find a "better" family.
For romantics who were disappointed that the lead’s relationship didn’t curl your toes or gotten to a place…
Oh I have the biggest smile every time they are on screen together. Their love is not loud but it embraces your whole being. It's secure and would definitely last. One of the best love stories I have seen.
The female lead’s mother was easily the richest and most compelling character in the show, with the ml’s brother…
Very well said. I still don't like her but I commend her tenacity. She made a decision and stuck with it. Just goes to show how we are all trying here in this lifetime. It might not be the best choice but we do what we can with the capacity we have.
I didn't realize I could comment to the actual review so I'll just repeat what I said in the regular comsec. Thank you for this review. I read the whole thing. My thoughts exactly!
Just want to say awesome review, lex! I read the whole thing and I completely agree. It's amazing how much I enjoyed the couple in the beginning but I couldn't even be bothered by them while watching the last four episodes. It sucks because I really enjoyed the first half.
I so wish even this drama forum on MDL becomes like other forums where people are discussing about the plot, their…
Those subs are google translated though. I checked the first episode and so.many mistranslations. Try the subbed episodes done by TaxPayerSubTeam on twitter to compare. You'll appreciate the writing even more.
Wow. You put all my feels into words! Thank you! It's so true that projects are like our babies! The one drama that really hit me hard was Six Flying Dragons. That was 6 months of my life! Lol. It seriously felt empty after the drama was over, like a part of me died when it ended.
Another thing, I do (well, did) subs on Viki and the subbing teams there are awesome. Loved working with them. Special shout out to Flying Dragons Team and Yoona's Street Team!
