i think we will get 1 episode with sarawat's point of view and we will know what happened when tine was drunk and sarawat brought him back home..editing is too choppy and tine doesn't remember..
what kind of "fangirling" do you do that you can't do it if the to be fangirled upon person is in a relationship?…
if you follow that line of argument then every emotion becomes a mental state and linked to personality traits/disorders..
Then, love by itself is also a personality disorder, because a normal person should be in a state of balance.. aka.. your presence and no presence makes no difference, but we know that is not true of people..
just as envy is cause of negative actions (it is not mental disorder), love can also be cause of negative/positive actions and it does not make a person mentally ill/ or mentally superior..
what kind of "fangirling" do you do that you can't do it if the to be fangirled upon person is in a relationship?…
i don't think day is talking about mental illness.. but mentally demented that people become when they lose themselves in love and lose their sense of right or wrong.. e.g. stalkers/ or crazy fangirls/ or losing one's own self respect just to keep the man they love in their life.. things like that
nothing victorian about that..
one should always know when self respect is being thwarted and self abuse kicks in
I will admit it: I’m excited for the kiss and will most likely replay it several times ;P
ya but even in the book it is supposed to be peck on the lips, after which S tells T that he has reserved him so he can't flirt with others :P .. and that peck is enough for T to forget about Pear
what kind of "fangirling" do you do that you can't do it if the to be fangirled upon person is in a relationship?…
lol..in real life too it would be strictly contactless, one-sided emotional state.. and fangirling is anything but platonic.. if it were platonic it would be you just appreciating the art of the actor not fangirling him/her
So, you and I disconnect over the very definition of what emotions fangirling entails.. i don't see it as platonic at all.. there is nothing platonic about buying products your fav endorses, there is nothing platonic about consciously waiting for his videos/interviews/concerts..whatever.. in summary fangirling IS NOT PLATONIC by its nature (not by definition)
Even in real life your crush may not know that you exist or does not exist.. or if you like someone they maynot know about you..but that does not make it right to oggle at a committed man/woman
You are wrong on the inference of your premise - if you say that actors are aware of the fans and they are aware exactly what commercial role a fandom plays in their career AND that they are OK with that, then this very premise makes all the extreme fan behavior/invasion of privacy absolutely ok, because the actor willingly gave consent and promoted the fandom concept knowing what it means (it is not platonic love that brings the insane commercial value - that's a hard truth).. and i think actors should be given the same respect as you would to another person in the society.. if you choose to disrespect then onus is on you (which includes objectifying)
the way it is wrong to gossip about others' love lives, people shouldn't do it for actors too.. do not invade privacy - if that's wrong for one person, it should be wrong for all
and people may have different opinion, but i think it is despicable if you proactively crush over or harbour any non platonic feelings for someone else's partner - that's just cheap..which is different from acknowledging a b'ful person as b'ful (which is probably what you are referring to)
But, yes appreciate the actor and his acting.. and fangirl sarawat as much as you want..appreciate the beauty of Bright..but be smart enough to own your time investment
I agree with you. The 4th episode didn't please me as much as the others either. I am watching this drama mainly…
Closeted gay was a phase.. i am talking about till the very end.. i never felt Mathew was good at it...and novel or no novel, if you are playing a character and are not able to sell what the character is feeling it is a fail..
to me as audience he should have sold the idea of him being in character and hence feeling awkward..but no..i always felt him being the actor and him his real self who was awkward ******************************************** I don't know about any of the other couples so won't comment. I know DBK side couple became really famous..but sorry i tried one episode..individually none of the actors impressed me so could't continue ********************************** Tharntype fails on consistency of overall quality. Only consistent thing were actors (main, side) - if not for the actors themselves series was lacklustre - story, editing, direction, scripting consistency, ..and at one point even actors could not hide the dramas flaws..it very quickly escalated into the obscure illogical frame of BL dramas from yore
About Type's dad- he was hardly there and i was bored of the series enough so never watched the last episode when tharn visits type's family.. and i don't know that actors' previous work to say whether he was a genius on the show or not
I agree with you. The 4th episode didn't please me as much as the others either. I am watching this drama mainly…
personal preferences i think.. example i honestly think shadowhunter couple super over-rated.. because i feel the awkwardness or the fact that he is telling himself that he is acting and it does not come naturally (mathhew) - it was meh!
I have to say, if someone has done wonders with his character it is green..because he brings a very positive energy to a character like green whom we have seen in every drama bl or straight since decades and it is always annoying..
Bright-Win onscreen chemistry is working for me ..atleast in these 4 episodes.. brother and his love story falls FLAT
and ofscreen, being just friends, just actors is a relief.. hate that unnecessary stuff ( i know people love mew and i think he is a capable actor..but man! i hate his over over fan service...cringey and after a point made me lose interest in him because nothing came off as genuine)
to be honest, i don't know about others, tharntype was explosive but for 1st 6 episodes and it was explosive not because of plot but because of the love scenes.. and i appreciate actors trying to break the boundaries..but ultimately the story/plot failed them..
This series, up until now has some witty humour (which is so rare).. let's see how it goes from here
Lastly, i am not sure if Bright is actually a good actor or Win is actually a good actor becuase this role is very much who they are and it is in comfort zone.. so they SHINE! (just as Hyeri in reply 1988)
what kind of "fangirling" do you do that you can't do it if the to be fangirled upon person is in a relationship?…
ha ha.. fangirling is fangirling.. what all of you do.. think of this way, in real life would you "fangirl" about someone else's husband or boyfriend..
ok.. this was irritating me.. so i was thinking who bright reminds me of..becuase he does look familiar and i realize his looks/appeal is similar to the male lead in After (young voldemort)
anyway..since he has a girlfriend.. gonna keep away from fangirling him .. support the actor and his craft..but no fangirling :(
Same here, I have watching all sorts of things but its not working. Think Imma go back to watch TharnType or Mork…
what!!!! untamed is worth it.. ashes of love is worth it.. so many chinese dramas are worth it for that matter i actually dropped pillow.. its good but couldn't hold my attention
In the novel Sarawat is the top. They never switch, he is quite forceful and possessive/jealous about everything…
don't think its cowardly to not stray from original book.. if you had to stray , might as well make a new drama then why do they need to use the name of the book - to pull fans and for commercials? - which would be selfish and such a corporate move
adaptation has to remain true to the storyline and major character motivations.. even established series such as agatha christie's remakes stick to what it was.. or sherlock ( which has inspired some of the biggest adaptations both in terms of novels and live actions..even there the core semblance of relationships between characters is maintained)
or is it just gmm cutting out all juicy scenes

its like drugs.. addiction intensity may vary
nothing victorian about that..

i stick by what i said!
Its good a happy camaraderies of brightwin will balance..
What are other good shows to watch? - sthg good...straight or bl or whatever
and fangirling is anything but platonic.. if it were platonic it would be you just appreciating the art of the actor not fangirling him/her
