I hope it gets weird and dark, but as you mentioned, the ambience so far is Disney Kids, so that wouldn't work unless the director/producers are extremely brave.

Where did you watch it? I started on Dailymotion, where the subs were not only confusing, but in huge white letters on black backgrounds. I switched to myasiantv and got much better subs and they're much easier to read. Let me know if you need a link.

A person that would do that IRL clearly has some issues that ought to be dealt with. I found her instant recognition that she was in the wrong, and her immediate promise to stop doing it, unconvincing.
Episode 5: This one moves so slowly...I feel I've already reached the end of a story. It will be interesting to see where things go. Overall, this is just really draggy, though this episode's major development was not exactly boring. lol That's one cuckoo mom. I guess she was instantly cured, though.
I remember, years ago, when I was new to MDL, reading about shit like this and thinking that surely, it was some kind of satirical piece, that such stupidity and lame netizen obsession could NOT be a real thing. It's real. Oh man, is it real.
The brain cell-destroying concept of hundreds of thousands of online losers fighting about who pushed who into a mud pit during a game in which everyone was already covered in mud and the pushing was part of the fun, is impossible for me to grasp.
So I will point and laugh, and move on.

The uncle’s character IS cringe. That’s what’s he’s like in the novel. He’s sooooooo EXTRA lol
It is the actor's ACTING that I find cringe. I get what he was supposed to be portraying, but his amateur acting kept getting in the way. When he tried to cry, it was embarrassing.
Bilkin, okay, but what about his longtime partner PP Kritt?
Not a fan of PPK. His post-ITSAY/IPYTM antics totally turned me off to him as an entertainer and now I'm unable to fully separate him from his character in those two shows.
However, I do acknowledge that the first time around, knowing nothing about the actors, I was deeply moved by a lot of what PP contributed to the shows. But I feel that the success of his character portrayal is more due to direction and writing than to anything about PP's awesomeness (or lack of same).
Bilkin impresses as an actor who fully commits and is unconcerned with being pretty at all times. His looks aren't those of a typical idol, either, which is refreshing.

When they were on the bridge at the end, I thought, "Well...he could bang, I mean date, both of them."
This needs to be renamed "Hot For Sensei."
