Hear, hear!I swear, the only subset of a group worse than "those types" of vegans are those of the nondrinkers.…
You are so right...except for one thing: I have NEVER seen/heard Lily Malice, nor any other K-trash media person speak out against knetz, no matter how recently another k-celeb or three killed themselves. To do so would draw attention to their own complicity. But they are always happy to rush out articles about how "shocked" all of Korea is by the latest suicide.

Neither media nor public is shocked at all, of course, though I do believe a segment of the public tells themselves that they are. Otherwise, how would they live with themselves?

Thought...do you think Lily Malice is an actual person/writer, or merely a pen name the MDL staff uses at whim to publish under?

clearly they don't care at all for fans or viewers.
What's "it?"

I suspect the director is having a fun time tip-toeing over Korean trash media eggshells in regards to this stale BS, while pretending to care. :D

This director and JWS are laughing their asses off at lame media types like Lily Phallus, who are desperately trying to prop up this stale "bad acting" narrative (controversy!!!) long after the public rendered its verdict with the show's record-breaking numbers. They know, as do we all, that Lily is frustrated that JWS hasn't lit up the charcoal over being dragged for banging and knocking up an enthusiastically willing, young actress two years ago, or whenever it was now.

I love Woo Sung's nonchalant, unaffected style in handling all of this. Having taken care of his obligations in a way he sees fit, he hasn't fallen over himself to explain things to people he owes no explanation to.

Oh Lily Malice...never change. lol

Spare me.

Every one of your comments above rationalizes/excuses the production company for playing along with the insane knetz, and your position that there is any "solution" needed in the first place.

No solution is needed because the only problem is a bogus one. Pretending that the 35+-year-old, alleged "crimes" of an actor who was a juvenile at the time, are in any way relevant today, especially to the release of this or any other series/movie, is BS.

Knetz thank you for your support.

On The Second Signal Jan 19, 2026
ffs...Korea entertainment industry is a psycho, self-destructive mess.

As a juvenile, an actor bullied someone a hundred years ago.
Since then, he's had a positive, successful, admired life.
So, by all means, let's cancel a multi-million dollar production over the hundred-year-old bullying.

Holy f**k.
Stop. Feeding. The. Vultures.

Here's the solution:
This is another, hysterical, insane, ginned-up faux "controversy" that shouldn't affect anything. Release the show just as planned.
Stop rewarding insane knetz.

They don't "have" to limit the character's screen time at all. Grow up.

Who actually conducted this interview, Lily? You? Someone else? Anyone?
Where did it take place?
What was LJH wearing?
What was the weather like outside?

Inquiring minds want to know, Lily:
What "pressure," Lily?
What "malicious comments," exactly? I'm sure there have been far more complimentary online comments regarding Taxi Driver 3 than malicious ones. Why didn't you ask about the positive comments, Lily?
Whose "morals," exactly, Lily?
What "scandals and controversies," Lily? Please, be specific.
Who made the "mistake" you refer to, Lily, and what was it? Exactly how did that "mistake" lead to the non-release of The Second Signal, Lily?

Lee Je Hoon wants to talk about his series.
Whoever wrote up this alleged "interview" wants to yap about scandals, controversies, knetz malicious "comments," some unidentified set of somebody's "morals," unspecified knetz slander and gossip, other people's supposed "mistakes" that allegedly led to other canceled shows; anything at all other than what healthy consumers of entertainment are interested in, such as the actor's methods and other specifics of preparation, rehearsal, direction, and production of Taxi Driver 3.

But you and whoever did this alleged interview you copy/pasted, don't write for healthy people, do you, Lily? You write for sick, twisted knetz vultures.

It does have a tranquil pace, so it should fit the mood.I first watched as a part of Close To You anthology that…
I like this series, though it would have been better tightened from six episodes to four.

If I'm correct that you are referring to JaeYul as the "main lad," however, I'd argue that the actor underplays him nearly to the point of non-existence. I got bored with him and found his lack of affect to be passive-aggressive by the last two episodes. I felt he was toying with DoWan for shits and giggles, especially after he heard DW's confession on the floor at the apartment, but pretended he didn't know. Which means he subjected DW to the competition from Seong Hun past that point for no reason at all, which is a shitty thing to do.

I don't think that's what the script or director intended, but that's how it came off to me.

I totally agree with your larger point about inexperienced BL actors overplaying emotions being the more common problem, though. A mid-point between extremes would be nice. :D

Hear, hear!I swear, the only subset of a group worse than "those types" of vegans are those of the nondrinkers.…
This.

The point of trash articles such as Lily Phallus's slop above is to set up the celebrity for a future downfall, and unfortunately, this guy walked right into the trap.

First, this comes out of nowhere:
"Kang Tae Oh is among those few actors who have never been embroiled in controversy."
ummm...who said anything about "controversy?" I doubt that KTO brought it up, and Lily's Phallus doesn't say one way or the other. That's no accident.
Then, dear Lily quotes KTO on staying home with a few friends and not drinking. She doesn't tell us what question his statements were in response to. We're to assume he boldly stated this, unprompted.
I seriously doubt that.

Then comes the setting of the trap:
"Asked if he feels a responsibility...," Lily blabs, without specifying what kind of responsibility or to whom, because if said clearly and out loud if would be obvious to all just how stupid and dangerous this "responsibiliity" angle is, and how pathetic it makes the Korean public sound . Lily then quotes the poor sap, as he lowers the noose around his own neck.

Lily and Korean trash media now have KTO on the record: "I don't drink." "I stay home alone or with a small circle." "I agree that I am obligated to live as a saint, to atone for the sin of being handsome, talented, and famous."

Thus, if at some point in the future KTO is spotted on a date or with friends anywhere outside of his apartment, Lily and trash media will pounce: "Wait, what?! He said he never goes out, and only stays at home alone. He. Is. A. Liar!"

If he ever decides he'd like a glass of wine at home with a couple of friends, one of them will surreptitiously snap a photo and send it to Lily, who will spread it far and wide across the Intertrons. "wtf" they will say. "He claimed he never drinks! What a fat fucking liar and hypocrite. He's probably a drunk. I bet he smokes pot and mainlines Propofol!"

Then, KTO will attempt damage control, but none of it will do any good. He will be dropped from ongoing projects. He will lose endorsements and be tarnished forever as a bad example to the delicate Korean public, ever in need of moral guidance from actors and singers. If things get bad enough, KTO will light up the charcoal or swing from his closet clothes rod. Lily will post a new article about how "Following a devastating controversy brought on by his abuse of alcohol, KTO has gone to be a star in the sky for us."

Lily will pretend not to know how this all came about.
That's how it works.

"bad company corrupts good morals"
Though I don't see my screen name in your comment, this showed up as a reply notification, so I'll respond as if this is directed to me.

Who are you quoting and why?
If you think it's the Bible, your quote is inaccurate.

Regardless, please point out where I indicated that bad company is a good idea in any case.
Also, whose morals?

My parents didn’t drink, and I don’t drink. I know other people who weren’t drinkers. People can just be…
Is this addressed to me?
Because I never said people can't be happy with non-alcoholic beverages, and I never said KTO was self-righteous.
I said certain people in this thread are self-righteous.

You're not telling me anything I haven't known all my life about booze, and your and your family's drinking habits are irrelevant to this discussion.
I have not, in any of my comments, promoted or discouraged drinking, one way or the other. Please learn to read what's in front of you on the screen, not what you imagine to be there.

I'm going to quote myself from my comment above to which you seem to be responding:
"This isn't mainly about drinking or not drinking. It's about people like this guy living in terror that any sign of imperfection will end his career and potentially his life.
We have no idea what he does in the privacy of his home. Maybe he has a cocktail or two, maybe he gets shit-faced now and then, maybe he never drinks. Whatever, it's none of our business."

Do you really just accept as gospel anything a celeb or their agency says in public?
