Statutory rape, like most laws, exists as a guideline for the protection of those who need it. And like most laws, it allows for the particular circumstances of each, individual case. Were this not so, there would be no need for courtrooms and judges and sentencing variations, which exist largely to render judgment with respect to individual circumstances.

Laws are not black/white, just as the world in which they are applied is not black/white. Were Tutor charged with statutory rape (what happened to your charges of "pedophilia?"), Akira would testify on his behalf, the judge would hopefully see that Tutor had helped Akira far more than any imagined harm, and charges would be dismissed.

Grownups don't need black/white fantasies. Why do you?

Regarding Akira/Tutor, I adore reading the feverish, agitated comments from self-righteous, MDL Church Girls.
I bathe in the sweet tears of their performative outrage.

The tutor is hot.
The tutor is kind.
The tutor is thoughtful.
The tutor may well have saved Akira's life.
The tutor and Akira are ending their friends-with-benefits relationship on healthy terms, with no ugliness and no trauma.

It is the LACK of trauma to Akira that pisses off the Church Girls.
They want him hanging dead in the closet, rather than alive and having enjoyable sex with a hot, older young man he trusts, a man who is letting him go with affection, now that he has found love with Kanata.
