I was tired when I watched 5, so maybe I missed something, but did it seem like there was a big jump there that was never explained to anyone else? I wish they had shown more of Tanrak's thinking process and decision to leave with Barth.

Can someone help me understand what happened between the end of ep. 5 and the beginning of 6? See my reply below, please.

After having watched Thai BLs and some other Thai dramas over the past 6 years, I can say that this is very common, especially for series from GMMTV. My sense is that Thai viewers prefer happy endings, even if they might be that realistic. It makes sense for a culture so heavily influenced by Buddhism and reducing suffering. For me, it sometimes makes the endings feel a bit unearned, but this ending was also very beautiful. It's good to see queer shows where it's not all about trauma.

I was so so sad when I found out it was only going to be 6 episodes. With the weightiness of a story like this, it feels like 8-10 minimum are necessary to do it justice.

I disagree (based on what I've seen so far.) I strongly suspect this will end up being a story that a lot of minors need, especially if they are queer.

I liked them. : ) I especially enjoyed when they talked about the cats in bts interviews.

I turned on the Thai subtitles and they say "Daotok," but I'm pretty sure he's saying "Khun Dai" (like Mr. Death), which would make sense. Can anyone confirm?

Agreed. But it would be nice for Yu's sake if he got the apology and change he deserves from her.

I've been trying to figure out what North calls Dao. It's translated into English as Daotok, but that's definitely not what he's saying (I've only watched part of one episode, granted, but it's bugging me.)

I agree. As naive as North is, he reads people's emotions well. He knows they still love each other.

I imagine he's also feeling so much shame and it would be hard to accept charity from a friend knowing that they know why he's in that situation. I can understand him also wanting to make Tim take some responsibility for him. Plus, I'm sure deep down he's still in love and his heart can't totally let go.

I suspect her reason for going to the bakery is going to be revealed in future episodes because it was left as a loose end. Knowing that this is a Thai BL and they almost always opt for happy endings for every character, I suspect they will give her a redemption arc.

He's definitely not forgiven yet. We just saw a crack in Pai's resolve.

I'm wondering that, too. My guess is that there will be a love triangle situation with Pai and someone else and there's more drama coming with U's mom. The scene where she came to talk to Poon at the bakery is just kind of hanging out there. What would that have been about? They also have to resolve the tension of the cousins with their family, which, this being a Thai BL, will be all wrapped up perfectly with a bow.

I agree. There's really something special about this pairing.

It really was beautiful. They've both impressed me more and more as actors with each show. The scene was heartbreaking. I can't imagine the longing and ache Pai must have felt just to be able to go back in time and have that Tim be real. And I'm sure Tim feels immense pain, too. I wish he was doing a better job of showing it.

Wow! I'm not saying this to be nasty, I'm just really surprised. To me, both are perfect. I like Junior and Mark more in this than I have in any of their past series (and I liked them a lot in Perfect 10 Liners), and I'm truly convinced that Ohm and Poon are dating in real life. I almost never believe that, but they really give me that vibe.

I agree about the real Tim. He's such a downgrade. My biggest problem with the plot line is that I don't believe that someone who doesn't have that kind of decency in him would be able to so convincingly play that calm, faithful, present, emotionally-attuned character for so long without cracks. Which makes me think either it's bad writing or that actually IS part of who he is. And if he knew how to be the kind of partner that Pai needed all that time, he can be the kind of partner he needs now. It's clear he genuinely cares about Pai and wants to take care of him at this point. So, do it!
